Everything went very well. He was so very courteous. I thank you for having great employees.
Got the AC up and running just a few hours after the problem was found.
Jake did a great job with installing new kitchen lights and GFI outlets.
I wasn’t going to share my opinion from Hobson Air Conditioning Inc. also known as Comfort Experts because there seems to be lack of communication skills with the technician and office staff. When I called to request service I was told there would be a $199 fee for them to come out today due to the Holiday. And that I would need to pay this plus any additional fees at the end of my service. After I received the text message that tech was heading my way. I began receiving calls and text saying I needed to pay to secure my appointment. I had at least 5 text and two voicemails regarding this. After reaching out to the office and no one answered I replied to a text. Saying I wasn’t informed of this. And an apology was offered to me via text, and said I could pay the technician. Gabriel Peterson, was the technician and he urged me to do a Google review because it was the most popular one to do and to make sure to provide his name and details. He arrived quickly and was respectful of my property. Even though he asked to use my bathroom, and did. Which I think was very unprofessional. He evaluated the situation and said the safety switch drain was full of water so he cleared the water. He said this would be a better option before seeing if the drain was clogged. He also said I could have accidentally moved the switch when I changed the filter and that made the water overflow. The thermostat came back on once he did this. He also checked the inside and outside unit, upon my request. He kept trying to sale me some bands to prevent water spillage even though he hadn’t actually did anything About 4 hours later the unit stopped working again, same issue. When he arrived he made it seem as though I had refused service earlier of unclogging the unit. I told him I hadn’t refused the service and then he said that wasn’t what he meant. He had those same bands he was trying to sell me earlier in his pocket. And asked again, if I wanted to purchase them. I paid $300.00 on the first visit both were for service fees of $199 an emergency fee they called it and an additional $99 service fee. On the second visit he said to unclog the drain it would be $500 plus dollars plus another service fee. So when I questioned the $300 I had just paid them a few hours ago and he didn’t fix the issue. Why would it cost be $500 plus dollars more? He said he would waive the service fee. I wouldn’t have thought you would charge me another service fee for something you didn’t fix hours go. I called the office to request a manager call me because I asked Gabriel to contact a manger and he didn’t do that until later. No manger returned the call because he was able to get someone on the phone. And nothing was resolved by speaking with her. Gabriel forgot to mention to me after he was about to start on unclogging the drain that I needed to sign a waiver. That they wouldn’t be responsible for any water damage. When I asked him why hadn’t he told me about this before agreeing to have the work done. He kinda got defensive, and said he forgot. But he forgot to tell me about signing the waivers upon his first visit also. The work was done and then he asked me to sign to waivers. On my invoice he states he realized he had not informed me that a drain waiver form would be needed. I declined the recommendation and requested him to leave my property. No repairs were performed and the issue remains unresolved. The customer was informed of the required documentation before any work began and ultimately declined the recommended service. I declined because I felt he wasn’t honest. And he was trying to push those bands and of course sign up for a membership. He didn’t do anything for $300.00 it doesn’t make sense that I would I give them another $500 plus dollars. If I had problems on the first visit and they had to dispatch him out again the same day for the same problem. It tells me you are not experienced enough and I do not want you working on my unit. My Trane unit is barely 6 years old and he was acting like he had to do so much extra work to unclog the drain. That was another reason I didn’t want him working on my unit.
Christian was wonderful and friendly. He handled my needs quickly and without trying to sell me too much. I am a new home owner and I didn’t know what I needed but did not feel taken advantage of. Thank you!!
He was great. Came out and explained everything so it was easy to understand and very honest about my situation
My technician was exceptional. Very explicit and answered all questions. Very thorough in his investigation and did even a little extra quality checks on rest of system. A real pro!
When I looked for help with my heater, Comfort Experts responded immediately. Then they got someone here quickly. Garrett was quick & efficient. He explained things clearly and showed pictures. The pricing was excellent.

Cody was very informative, answered all the questions I had, and was busy the whole time he was here. He also had a very happy and fun type of personality. Would have no reservations with having him back out if needed.
Nathaniel from Comfort Experts did an excellent job with my electrical inspection. He was quick, thorough, and professional, ensuring everything was checked properly while maintaining a polite and friendly demeanor. Highly recommend their service!
I conducted a comprehensive system evaluation and maintenance, ensuring every component was thoroughly inspected. The customer opted for the premium repair package. I installed three stop starts in three 1075 condenser fan motors, enhancing their efficiency and reliability. After installation, I tested the entire system to confirm optimal performance. The systems are now operating more quietly and efficiently than before. The customer appreciated the improved performance and signed up for our membership program. Thank you for choosing our services.
During the evaluation, I thoroughly inspected the system's components. The air filter was found to be in good condition, ensuring efficient airflow. The temperature difference (delta) between the supply and return air was within acceptable limits, indicating proper system performance. The condensate drain was clear, preventing any potential water damage or mold growth. The refrigerant levels were optimal, ensuring efficient cooling. However, the start kit had failed, which I promptly replaced. Additionally, I cleaned the outdoor unit to remove any accumulated dirt or debris. No other issues were detected during the inspection. Thank you for choosing our services.
During the service, I identified a broken blower motor bracket and detached welds on the blower wheel. To resolve this, we ordered a replacement blower wheel unit compatible with a standard PSC 110-volt motor running at 1075 RPM. While awaiting the parts, I installed two window units to ensure comfort. All necessary materials are available on-site, and I am prepared to complete the installation once the parts arrive.
I conducted a thorough evaluation of the system, finding it unable to meet thermostat demands. The filter was in good condition, but the drain was restricted and required clearing. The emergency pan was full of water, and the coil was beginning to freeze. I allowed the ice to thaw before continuing. The refrigerant was low, indicating an error or leak with the evaporator. I discussed the benefits of repair versus replacement and scheduled a comfort advisor for tomorrow between 10-12 am. The system was operational when I left. Thank you for choosing our services.
Today, I performed a comprehensive super tune-up on the system. The Delta was inspected and found to be in good condition, and the filter was also in excellent shape. I thoroughly inspected and washed the drain pump to ensure optimal performance. The homeowner requested assistance with the thermostat, which is currently not being powered. After investigation, I determined that either a new wire needs to be installed or adjustments to the existing wiring are necessary. The refrigerant levels were fine, and I washed the outdoor unit to maintain cleanliness. Additionally, the capacitor is showing signs of wear and a start kit with a new capacitor is highly recommended. I also discussed the benefits of the Comfort Club, but the homeowner declined further work for today. The system was cooling effectively when I left. Thank you for choosing our services.
I performed a comprehensive Super Tune-Up on a straight electric system. I began by cleaning the outdoor condenser coil and checking refrigerant pressures, ensuring they met manufacturer specifications. After replacing the air filters, I rechecked the pressures, which returned to normal. I inspected all electrical components and confirmed proper operation. Moving indoors, I verified a temperature split of at least 20°F between the return and supply plenums, and inspected all indoor components for proper function. I poured two gallons of water down the primary condensate drain line to ensure proper drainage. I also cleared the drain lines and recommended installing condensate safety float switches. Additionally, I advised the customer on the need to replace or add attic insulation to improve energy efficiency. The system was cooling properly upon departure.
I performed a comprehensive Super Tune-Up, starting with the outdoor unit. I meticulously cleaned the condenser coil and checked the refrigerant pressures, ensuring they met manufacturer specifications. All electrical components were inspected and verified for proper operation. During the refrigerant pressure check, I identified a slight deviation, which normalized after replacing the air filter. Moving to the indoor unit, I measured a 24°F temperature split between the supply and return plenums, confirming optimal performance. I also inspected all indoor components, ensuring everything operated correctly. To test drainage, I poured two gallons of water into the primary condensate drain line, discovering a clog. I informed the customer, who opted not to clear the drain line but approved a duct repair for improved airflow and more even cooling. The system operated effectively upon departure.
The customer requested a tune-up for their gas furnace and air conditioning system. Upon arrival, I started by servicing the outdoor condensing unit, washing the condenser coils and checking refrigerant pressures. During testing, I discovered the system was critically low on R-22 refrigerant. A thorough leak search revealed a leak in the evaporator coil. I promptly informed the customer of this issue and the need for replacement due to the use of R-22 refrigerant. Additionally, I inspected the indoor equipment and found the blower wheel to be excessively dirty, with the blower motor making concerning noises, indicating potential failure. I recommended shutting off the system to prevent further damage. The customer followed my advice and turned off the system at the thermostat.
Upon evaluation, the indoor unit was operational while the outdoor unit was not. The filter was clean, and the drain was in acceptable condition. Refrigerant levels were normal. An L6 lockout code indicated an issue with the outdoor unit. Upon inspection, the capacitor was found to be out of tolerance. I replaced the faulty capacitor and cleaned the unit. Post-repair, I verified that the system was functioning correctly. Thank you for choosing our services.
I installed a new primary drain line, ensuring it was properly routed to the exterior. The previous line, which was connected to the vent stack, was safely terminated to prevent any potential issues. This involved precise measurements and careful handling to maintain system integrity. The new line was secured and tested to confirm efficient drainage.
Upon inspection, the downstairs system was found to be low on 410a refrigerant, requiring an estimated 75oz to recharge. The system's data plate indicates a total capacity of over 263oz, excluding the line set. A thorough evaluation revealed no visible oil leaks at the gauge connection points or the evaporator coil. However, a rub out in the condenser suggests a potential leak source. Given the recent rainfall, no oil spots were visible. A comprehensive leak search is necessary to identify the source of the leakage. The system, installed in 2016, is currently under the five-year warranty. The homeowner prefers to discuss further actions with Mark W.
We addressed a leak originating from the flapper in the guest toilet. Upon inspection, it was clear that the flapper was the source of the issue. We replaced the faulty flapper to resolve the leak. Unfortunately, due to the customer's work commitments, we were unable to inspect the sewer line with a camera. The replacement was completed efficiently, ensuring the toilet functions properly.
Upon arrival, I identified that the thermostat was not receiving 24 volts, which was affecting the system's performance. I began by inspecting the drain lines, a critical component for proper system operation. Upon examination, I discovered that the drain lines were clogged, which was impeding the flow and causing the voltage issue. I explained the situation to the customer and offered to unclog the drain lines to restore the system's functionality. The customer approved the proposed solution, and I proceeded to clear the blockage. After successfully unclogging the drain lines, I tested the system to ensure it was functioning correctly. The thermostat was now receiving the necessary 24 volts, and the system was left in cooling mode as requested. Thank you for choosing our services; we strive to provide efficient and reliable solutions for your comfort needs.
I successfully installed a soft start and a new sure switch device, which significantly reduced the system's start-up amps to 23. This installation effectively managed the strain on the system caused by the compressor's LRA. After thorough testing, the system is now fully operational and ready for use. The improvements ensure smoother performance and enhanced reliability.
I conducted a thorough evaluation and replaced the indoor blower motor, ensuring all wiring was correctly connected. The blower motor was heavily soiled, so I meticulously cleaned it. Additionally, the outdoor contactor was sticking, so it was replaced. After these repairs, I conducted multiple tests to confirm the system's functionality on both heating and cooling modes. The system is now operating efficiently and reliably. Thank you for choosing our services.
During the inspection, I found that the shut-off valves under the sinks were difficult to turn, suggesting they should be replaced. I provided estimates for this task. The water heater, installed in 2001, requires replacement due to its age. Additionally, the copper wires showed signs of overheating, with a red color indicating potential small shorts. The water heater's single element read 10 ohms, which is typical for such systems.
A homeowner contacted us to inquire about the costs associated with replacing a faulty capacitor and performing a pan treatment for their HVAC system. After gathering the necessary information, we promptly provided detailed estimates for both services. The homeowner reviewed the estimates and informed us that she would reach out later this month to schedule the repair. Our team is prepared to address any questions or concerns she may have and to complete the necessary repairs efficiently.
The customer and his wife were deciding on the appropriate level for a mini split installation in their garage. After a thorough consultation, I provided expert advice on the best options based on their needs. I installed the mini split system, ensuring optimal placement for efficient heating and cooling. The installation was seamless, and the system is now providing reliable comfort in the garage. The customer and his wife are very satisfied with the results.
We successfully completed a comprehensive HVAC service by replacing the evaporator coil and a section of the line set. Following the replacement, we conducted a thorough pressure test using nitrogen to ensure system integrity, achieving a vacuum level of 400 micrometers. After confirming the system's stability, we added the appropriate refrigerant and performed extensive testing to verify optimal performance. The system is now functioning as intended, providing efficient and reliable cooling. Thank you for choosing our services.
During the service, I inspected a stuck pop-up drain in the bathroom sink, which the customer chose not to fix. I explained the potential issues with the drain line holding water for 35 feet, but the customer declined further action. Additionally, I found that the bathroom shut-off valves under the sink were non-functional. Lastly, I examined the 2021 Bradford White gas water heater, confirming it was up to code and functioning properly, despite the customer's reluctance to join the comfort care club.
I conducted a comprehensive super tuneup, starting with a thorough system check. The damper motor for the upstairs ductwork was identified as faulty and was successfully repaired. I replaced the air filters and cleaned them, ensuring optimal airflow. The unit was temporarily turned off for safety during these changes. I meticulously checked all referred pressures and verified that everything was functioning correctly. The system is now running efficiently, and I appreciate your trust in our expertise.
During the service, we identified that the HVAC system was running at maximum capacity. The ducting in the son's bedroom was found to be undersized and had a noticeable tear, impacting efficiency. We recommended upsizing the ductwork or redesigning the entire duct system to meet modern standards. Additionally, we suggested installing an attic tent to prevent attic air from entering the living space, enhancing overall comfort and efficiency.
Today, I returned to install a new soft start for the Amana system that services the middle apartment. This involved diagnosing the existing system to ensure compatibility with the new component. I carefully removed the old soft start and replaced it with the new one, making sure all connections were secure and properly insulated. The installation was completed efficiently to minimize disruption. Additionally, I tested the system to confirm that the new soft start was functioning correctly and that the overall system performance was optimal. This meticulous approach ensures the longevity and reliability of the system.
I performed a comprehensive tune-up on the HVAC system, starting with a thorough inspection of the outdoor coil, which I cleaned to ensure optimal performance. I checked all electrical components and verified the refrigerant levels, ensuring they were within the correct range. The temperature differential (Delta) was measured at 22°, indicating efficient operation. The indoor air filter was found to be in need of immediate replacement, so I removed it and informed the homeowner, who agreed to have it changed promptly. Additionally, I discovered a clog in the drain line that had caused water to accumulate in the pan. I cleared the clog, removed the water, and installed a paint strip in the primary pan for future monitoring. I also recommended a duct cleaning and a germicidal unit to maintain cleanliness and prevent biological growth. The system is now functioning properly and cooling effectively.
I visited the customer to provide a quote for adding a plug on the wall in the hallway for decorations. We discussed various installation methods, and the customer preferred a method that avoided cutting holes. However, I explained that this would require running extra wire. I presented a quote for this alternative method, which the customer appreciated. They decided not to proceed immediately but expressed interest in contacting us when they were ready to move forward. Throughout the consultation, I ensured the customer understood the pros and cons of each method and provided clear, detailed information to help them make an informed decision.
