Signs You Need Air Conditioning Repair In Bedford, TX
As we go about our busy lives, AC repair typically isn’t the first thing on our minds. Getting to work, taking the kids to school, making other appointments and running errands are much higher on the list. However, we may see little clues about our AC throughout the day that we ignore that could be alerting us that an AC repair isn’t far off. If you’ve started to notice your AC unit is not performing that well but have put off dealing with it, here are a few issues that let you know it’s time to call a professional to check it out.
Your Home Doesn’t Stay at a Comfortable Temperature
It’s common for at least one person to not be comfortable with the temperature. We all know someone that wears a coat in seventy-degree weather or is hot even when it’s fifty degrees out. However, when you find everyone complaining about the temperature inside (including you), it’s time to call an expert in for air conditioning service. Once your repair is complete, you’ll be amazed at the difference in the temperature and you’ll probably wish you had called sooner.
You Can Hear Your HVAC Unit Working Hard
When you notice that your system is louder than you remember, it’s a sign that your system isn’t working as it should. If you don’t think that you need an AC repair just yet, you can have an experienced company do an inspection to see what the issue is. This will give you a better idea of what to expect, or if the sounds you’re hearing are normal. While the experts are there inspecting your AC unit, ask them what you can do to keep your unit in good shape on a daily basis.
Your AC Unit Is Getting Old
Age plays a role in how well your unit performs throughout the years. As the system gets older, chances are you will need more repair visits. Talk to the experts as your HVAC unit ages so you know what to expect down the road. Some people find that investing in a new unit earlier saves them money in the long run because they won’t be weighed down by the repair costs. Others wait until it’s absolutely necessary to get a new unit because the old one can no longer be fixed.
While it’s completely up to the individual, investing in a new unit is an excellent way to save money on your energy bill and get to enjoy the latest advancements that improve performance and ease of use. Plus, you get to avoid all of those emergency repairs that come with owning an older model.
You Notice The Unit Is Deteriorating
If you start to see rust on your AC unit, or if it looks like it’s been beaten up by harsh weather, take the time to call an AC repair company. You want someone who has a trained eye to know whether the amount of deterioration is normal or if you need to start thinking about the next steps to prevent problems in the future.

Service was great but not satisfied with the cost
Michael - Bedford, TX 76022
Ryan was great. He was extremely professional and fixed the problem, but I have an issue with the cost of his visit. My issue ac/heat issue was supposedly fixed the day before by Zak, but after he left the problem still persisted so that is why Ryan had to come out. There was a part that needed to be replaced so I had to pay an extra $400 (after my 20% discount) on top of what I paid the previous day. After doing some research, I could of purchased the replaced part online myself for $20 and it took Ryan no more than 10 minutes to install the new part. I think it is utterly ridiculous that this fix was $400. I will be taking my business elsewhere in the future.

Outdoor unit is operating, fan motor is over amping, indoor coil is rusty and corroded, also leak in coil recommended system upgrade ,customer asked if new ducts were needed when replacing ubit i told her not unless they are damaged, may customer has comfort adviser coming out today 3-5

Ryan S.
Performed stu, cleaned and waxed condenser, no surge protection present, no compressor saver installed, capacitor in tolerance, filter is OK, blower starting to build up dust, uv bulb is 1 year old and needs to be replaced to be effective, recommend upgrading to iaq200 rms-1 high quality uv system. Customer had me install a compressor saver to extend the lifespan of the system.

colby.finch@acgenius.com
On arrival the system was running as intended. I recommended a compressor saver kit to reduce wear and tear on the compressor and a drain switch to prevent a clogged drain line from getting water in the conditioned space. As I left the system was cooling.

Ryan S.
Found fuse popped, heat strip contactor causing fuse to blow. Replaced contactor and system operating normally. Custo,er needs new thermostats to utilize heatpump.

Zak L.
Arrived for rec work Replaced both control board and secured low pressure wire to prevent rub outs Customer intend to upgrade his thermostats to Heat pump only thermostats

Mark D.
Arrived to no heat. Only one heat strip was turning on. Discovered a faulty heat sequencer. Once heat sequencer was changed the fan would not turn on. Called Brian H and Mark W to help with rewire of heat strips. Ran blower fan and heat strips through the same sequencer. Performed function check in both heating and cooling. System set to heat upon departure.

Zak L.
Arrived for service evaluation #IAQ Fuse is blown Both board are overheating Ordering both Copper applied for discount and warranty Recommend replacing contactor as well System has no surge protection or water safeties Filtration upgrade recommended due to allergy symptoms and biological growth contamination present in the system

Brock S.
Ran a tune up on system. All components tested good. Drain line was clear. Unit worked normally in both heating and cooling. Recommended a compressor saver and a new defrost control board. Found no other issues at this time. Will need to return to replace the defrost control board

Diego M.
Upon arrival system was in working condition. Looking at the indoor unit all electrical connections and components are good. Blower and coil are clean. Uv bulb was out recommended we replace it customer agreed. Filter was changed. Drain lines are clear and flowing. Heating components and safetys are good. Looking at the outdoor unit all electrical connections and components are good. Capacitor within tolerance. Amp draws are acceptable. Cleaned unit inside out. Left system in working condition. Thank you for choosing comfort experts.

Zak L.
Arrived for AC Filter fine No secondary drain line Secondary drain pan was never installed underneath the unit (left in the attic) Whole air handler is dirty with dust and biological growth There is a return duct that I could not find a vent for (could be plumbed into the duplex neighbors house or is just Sealed up) Compressor is over among at start and likely to fail System is low on refrigerant and coil is freezing Comfort advisor scheduled for tomorrow 10 am for replacement

colby.finch@acgenius.com
On arrival the system was running and cooling and producing a 17 degree delta. The unit had clear drain lines and a clean blower and coil. The outdoor unit passed all electrical tests and the heat pump function worked when called for. When I left the system was back running and cooling. Thanks for choosing comfort experts and have a great day!

On this job I cut and cleared the drian lines. Both sides of heat are working well. Filter do not need charging.

Mike S.
Drain line was backed up tripping wet switch cut and cleared line then reassembled tested and is now draining properly.

colby.finch@acgenius.com
On arrival the system was turned off. When I turned the system on the compressor did not start. I tested the compressor capicator and it was at 4.95 out of 45. Once I replaced the capicator the compressor turned on and the system produced a 17 degree delta. Thanks for choosing comfort experts and have a great day!
