I have been using the contractor that put the unit in the home. I found out I have been paying double for my maintenance contract. I am receiving greater benefits and services for the same price that includes a 30% discount on Service Fee/ Repairs & / Accessories. Trust me I was not receiving any type of discount with the other company. I say good riddance and Hello Comfort Experts where have you been the last four years.
Today I had Hobson back out because my electric bill has almost doubled since my 21 year old nephew moved in with his computer and gaming systems. They throughly looked at all my key systems to no avail but did not leave without a suggestion. They were great.
I had Comfort Experts/Hobson out today for my semi-annual service and in Comfort Experts/Hobson's style they did an outstanding job, took their time and took pictures of all key components. Cody even waxed the exterior of my outdoor unit after making the inside of the same unit shine also. Need to order a generac 60a load controller to replace defective one. Existing load controller is wired to a 240v 30a breaker in case that matters. Picture of unit in here under work performed. Did visual inspection, and tightened anything I could get my hands on. Customers complaint was a loud intermittent buzzing sound in the evening. No sound while on site. PLEASE ORDER PART AND SCHEDULE RETURN VISIT TO REPLACE. THANK U. Customer would like to wave another service fee for replacement if possible.

Tech Cody arrived to customer's home and met the homeowner. System was running inside but not cooling. I diagnosed a failed auxiliary motor starter which wasn't allowing the system outside to turn on. I replaced it under warranty P&L. After I hooked up my guages and found the system to be low on charge, I conducted a courtesy leak search and for a leak outdoors at the Schrader valve. I shared my findings with the homeowner and she wanted me to replace the Schrader valve and charge the system with refrigerant. I replaced the valve under warranty and then charged the system to its target super heat. System was cooling when I left.

I diagnosed a shorted compressor and conducted a courtesy leak search, I found no leak and couldn't do more troubleshooting without an operating compressor. I shared my findings with homeowner and discussed the options available to him. The compressor is not under warranty and the homeowner wanted to conduct a compressor replacement.
$4,959 for compressor replacement. Includes R-11x flush, refrigerant, and liquid line drier replacement.

Tech Cody arrived to customer's home and met the father of the homeowner. The system was leaking water when I arrived, I diagnosed a clogged drain and shared my findings with the customer. I conducted a drain clearing and poured a gallon of water into the drain pan afterwards, the whole gallon drained with no issue.
I spilt my pvc primer on the trim around the closet the unit was housed in. I sanded the affected area then used the customer's paint primer and paint to correct the mess that I had made. Watkins would like for me to go back first call tomorrow to put another coat of paint over the affected area as a final repair.
