Job Locations
For this free second opinion I leak search the evaporator coil for the upstairs unit. Customers had another company come out and they also leak searched and found the leak, so I followed up and also found a leak on the evaporator coil. The customers didnt like our $5500 price for the coil plus refrigerant however may follow up if they decide to go ahead with us and replace the coil.
On this job I inspected the cooling side of the system. The filter was nasty damp and caked. Causing biogrowth to grow on the registers of the rooms. The condensor was also caked up. Not allowing heat to reject as quik as it should. So I cleaned the condensor and changed the filter. He wants to consider a new system due to price increase for new systems and would like to replace come December.
I quoted a level 3 36k gas horizontal for $13,500 and offered to throw in a free duct cleaning Customer wanted to get another quote
On arrival systems blower motor was locked up. Found rust in furnace and coil areas among other issues. Recomended speaking with a comfort advisor about replacement due to age and condition. Comfort advisor visit set for 3-5 tomorrow.
On arrival system not cooling. Installed soft start kit. System running and cooling as I left.
Arrived for evaluation System deltas 18/20 Home airflow is good 0 codes on unit - unit operating at arrival Primary drain line is clogged - 2 gallon test Recommended drain clear - microbial treatments on both systems Drain clear includes main, connection point on 2 systems, 90 degree bend from attic to sink and sink line System left on cool at exit
System showing no error codes except for a communication code. On arrival both condenser and furnace showed normal operation codes but neither were running. Cool cloud confirmed a communication problem. I reset the system and it ran and cooled with no issues. Not a recall on daniel, it is not a reoccurrence of a previous problem.
Properly sized 240v breaker feeding sub panel in shed. Gfci protected kitchen outlets at breaker. Custo,er had usb/class C outlets that they wanted to keep. Upgraded membership.
07/27/24 TS- installed new Rheem 40gal gas waterheater. Used existing water lines.
Arrived at eval Customer stated the system stop working this afternoon Ran test and the primary was clogged and the outside was throwing a code for lock rotor Customer okayed drain clear and to add warranty compressor saver Like last time I advice customer again about doing his job at going up monthly to pour white vinegar or bleach down drain lines System was running before I left Please have Ryan call the customer tomorrow morning
Customer canceled at the door. Spoke with a woman who said she had no knowledge of the appointment. Gave her my business card and asked if they would like to reschedule for another time when both homeowners are home.
Performed super tune up Washed condensors and tightened wires Components are good Lenox system has 14 Delta Recommended system replacement - homeowner will wait System heat is optimal Recommended homeowners to have surrounding area of condensors covered due to high amount of build up Filters changed Recommened compressor saver and April air for future system System left on cool at exit
His panels looked good but there was no surge protector and he's having some trouble with a few switches but he doesn't want a diagnostic right now
Replaced tub spout in hallway bathroom also pulled toilet to reset in master bathroom. Had to chip out flange and replace flange so I could reset toilet. Tested after repair was made everything working properly.
Customer was contacted via phonecall she decided to move forward replacing the compressor under warranty and adding an AprilAire filter upgrade. Materials are added. Customer gave permission to charge the card on file. The parts will be ordered for installation when they come in.
Tech arrived at a service call. Upon inspection the system was running but not cooling. The capacitor was within specs. The compressor was receiving power and was not compressing. The compressor failed the windings test. The filter was dirty and allows for unfiltered air to enter the system. It is recommended that the filter be upgraded to an April Aire filter. The customer was informed that we will check on warranty information and will call them back.
Arrived for Eval Ran test and the board had gotten reset and needed a update Update board and system running Customer wanted a tune up and I talked to them about the home and budget membership Customer okayed membership and we added a STU All components were working and in tolerance Recommend IAQ 200, up bulb replacement, blower clean, surge protector, compressor saver, and membership
Performed inspection made recommendations for home. Customer wants me to follow up with her next week to schedule.
Customer said as soon as I arrived that the unit we're servicing was not cooling at all. I advised that I would inspect the system to narrow down what could be the cause. After troubleshooting I've determined the 18 yo 2.5 ton r22 system compressor has grounded itself and is tripping the breaker on start. I demonstrated the problem to the customer and advised his options were to replace the compressor or for a little more and a better resolution the entire system. Customer agreed to speak to comfort advisor set for tomorrow 12-3pm. Emailed estimates for repair. Tuneup could not be completed system down.
System is down cust wants to talk to CA about replacement Compressor is grounded, and has little to no refrigerant in system Attempted to start up system No compressor activity
During inspection I located a potential leak in the heat exchanger Talked to cust and explained the dangers, shut gas off to furnace, Cust gave me the go ahead Me and Mark W will return to confirm While cleaning the condenser next door neighbor asked about getting a tune up scheduled Scheduled tune up Will return next Tuesday
Found inducer port plugged. Bored out port and cleaned inducer wheel. Operating properly. Had to have office collect payment, would not allow me to input customer information.
01/30/24 - 2 waterheaters in attic space. Only issue was the upstairs toilet fill valve needs to be replaced. Customer stated he willhold off and replace whole toilet when he's ready
