On arrival system running and cooling producing 19 degree delta. Drain lines flowed when flushed. Indoor unit clean And in good condition. Condenser passed all electrical testing but overamped on start up untill a compressor saver kit was added resulting in a starting amp draw of 58. System cooling as I left.

Returned and reinstalled old capicator since I had it and a new contactor. Upstairs system able to run when I left.
Arrived onsite customer has a 13 year old water heater in garage that needs to be replaced. Customer currently getting pricing is not really looking to spend a lot of money.
On arrival upstairs system was not functioning. Primary electrical control was in rough condition and dual run capicator had exploded. I recommended added in compressor saver kit as well to help system start easier. Once all parts were installed the system ran and I checked refridgerant levels. Found a subcool of 1 when the design subcool is 9 and a low side saturated temp (coil temp) of 3 degrees. Found large quantities of rust on evaporator coil and intermittent refridgerant pings when leak searched. Found no leaks at condenser or field welds. Recommended moving new dual run capicator, primary electrical control, and start kit to functioning downstairs system and speaking with a comfort advisor about replacement on the upstairs system due to age, condition, and cost of repairs for the upstairs. Customer agreed, comfort advisor visit is today from 5-8.
