This is the second time Derek has been to my home representing Comfort Experts. Each time he's been courteous, efficient and professional. He did his job checking out my heating unit cleaning my outside a/c unit and patiently answered all of my questions. I feel that Comfort Experts does an excellent job of making their customers feel valued.

The ducts supplying the customers master bed room are 2 7" ducts tied into a 50' run of 12" explained to customer that over that lengthy of a duct run the air supplied will lose some velocity and gain a few degrees in temperature informed her the best solution would be to upsize the duct that feeds the two supplies in the master bedroom and to upsize them as well Customer did not want to do that at this time Also fully opened a halfway closed vent in master bedroom

Tech arrived at a warranty service call. Upon inspection, the main breaker was tripped. The compressor saver failed and was replaced. The breaker was repositioned and the outside system came on for a few seconds and the breaker tripped again. The compressor was tested and failed the Ohms test. The guages indicated that there is refrigerant present in the system. We will pause the call to order a compressor.

Upon arrival for service system on and cooling. Inspected system. Electrical conections good. Refrigerant pressures within ranges. Outdoor unit has heavy dust buildup lowering cooling efficiency. Attempted to clean unit. Only spigot on home not functioning. Informed customer and recommended cleaning and a compressor saver kit. System due to inefficiencies in home and system is not able to keep up with extreme temperatures outside. Left system on and cooling.

Tech arrived at a service call. Upon arrival the customer stated that the system was running well today and wanted the system reevaluated. Upon inspection the filter was dirty and replaced. The coils were relatively clean. The customer said that his son washed the outside unit yesterday. It was still dirty. The top was removed and the outside system was cleaned from the inside. This slightly dropped the high side pressure and slightly raised the Delta. The customer would like a quote for a mini split for the master bedroom and a gas heater for the shop. The system was functioning upon departure.

Completed my thorough inspection, the indoor unit was inspected and drain lines are clear. All connections on the wires are correct, no lose or burnt wires. Id advise replacing your UV bulb once a year to maintain 100% efficiency. The outdoor unit was cleaned and connections are functioning properly. The capacititor is within rating, a compressor saver would benifit the outdoor unit to lower the starting amps giving your compressor a longer life. A surge protector would be installed on the breaker outside to protect your unit from storm surges.

Completed my thorough inspection, the indoor units lines are clear and all connections are correct and no wires are loose or burnt. The home would benefit with a home surge protector, Timothy agreed and is interested in us installing one, wants a follow up to install on the weekend. The outdoor unit was cleaned and the capacitor is within rating. I'd advise a compressor saver to lower the starting amps, prolonging the life of the compressor.

Upon arrival for tune up system on and heating. Customer stated thermostat usually in auto but switched to heating and it worked properly. Inspected outdoor unit. Refrigerant pressures differ between auto and heating. Therostat is not sending the correct signal in auto mode. Recommended replacement of thermostat.

Performed Stu, system operation is normal in cooling refrigerant levels in range capacitors testing within tolerance, in heating suction line is only achieving 95 degrees with a 70 degree ambient. Hot gas discharge is normal and at ambient temperature drop is occuring at reversing valve, to address issue would need to replace reversing valve and refrigerant. Recommend system. Replacement vs repairs due to high cost and system age. Very high dust levels in return plenum, recommend duct cleaning.

Customer needed leach lines moved for his septic. Explained to customer that we are only allowed to run pipe up to the tank but anything beyond is a separate license. Customer did not want to pay the service fee because we do not do that type of work.

Upon arrival found system not running. I evaluated the I door unit and found the p-trap for drain line was clogged and broken. Wet switch was engaged. I reassembled the p-trap. Then I proceeded to dry out the wet switch. Unit came on. I finished examining the indoor unit and found air filter soaked and clogged. Customer did not have a filter to change. I advised customer to get air filter as soon as possible to deter system not cooling and freezing up. Delta was 19. Drain line was clear. I examined the out door unit. Dual capacitor was within specs and compressor and fan motor were operating appropriately within data specs. Refigerant levels were within range. Found no other issues with system left on cooling. Drain line repair
