Main line is clogged Gave customer estimate for unclogging line Customer wants to get more estimates.
The whole set up of the electrical isn't quite up to par for electrical code I have made an estimate to not only bring it back up to but to install a proper ground rod and clean up the outside and get rid of the boxes that are currently being used as junctions
Arrived to no cool. 40 amp breaker to the condenser was tripping every time the compressor would try to turn on. Meg ohmed compressor to show that it was “bad” however upon ohm testing the windings was able to find that the compressor is damaged but should still be able to start. 45/7.5 auxiliary motor start was very weak which was causing the compressor to over amp upon start up. Signed customer up for the home budget and protection plan and installed a new 45/7.5 auxiliary motor start and a compressor saver. System was running and cooling the home upon departure. Customer was only able to pay $700 today and has given permission to charge the remainder on Thursday. Customer says to just charge the card on file. Per Brian H this is ok.
1995 gas closet downflow r22. Greeted homeowner and asked a few questions and stated the expectation for my visit being a full evaluation, looking for anything that effects the energy usage, reliability and most important the safety of the system... I started with the indoor unit and discovered - Filters claimed to have been replaced by a family member. Blower wheel is dirty with a layer of build up, this puts strain on the motor and reduces airflow efficiency. 5mfd blower capacitor is weak and considered a failed part per manufacturers specifications. Evidence of a thermal limit switch replacement. Pulled the blower wheel out to inspect heat exchanger and noticed some rust and weak spots which can cause a hazard. Pilot is on. No proper indoor unit disconnect. Evaporator coil has extreme rust and buildup on intake side of coil restricting proper airflow. Detectable r22 refrigerant molecules - refrigerant leak in evaporator coil. I taped up what I removed when gaining access to
For this super tune-up I inspected the air handler, heat strips and condenser. For the most part everything was measuring within manufacturer's specs, however I did find a few areas of concern. There was large amounts of Bio growth inside the air handler on the blower and blower motor wiring. The contactor for the heat strips was buzzing quite loud when there was a call for emergency heat indicating that contactor could fail during the winter time. Additionally there is no water safety on the system and form the customer that if there is a clog in the drain lines the water could fill up that pan and then flood the ceiling causing damage to the house. I recommended an IAQ 200 for air purification as well as a float switch, new capacitor as the one she has is out of tolerance, as well as a duct cleaning advisably before the UV system is installed. Customer would like to schedule a call around March time frame when she receives her income tax refund.
Tech Cody arrived to customer's home and met the homeowner. When I arrived the system was not coming on outside. I diagnosed a failed auxiliary motor starter and noticed that the outdoor unit was dirty and in dire need of cleaning. I shared my findings with the homeowner and explained the benefits of our home and budget protection club. She saw the value in our maintenance plan and decided to sign up for our club and wanted me to replace the part and wash the unit. I conducted the repairs and then continued my evaluation. The running amps tests for the compressor and fan motor were both within manufacturer range. The refrigerant charge was within tolerable levels. I checked the indoor unit and the blower and evaporator coil were clean. The airflow of the system was within acceptable levels and the temperature split was a good 17 degrees. I shared the rest of my findings with the homeowner and then checked out with her. The system was cooling when I left.

Install new shut off valve for toilet and supply line
2008 3t r22 gas closet upflow. System down upon arrival. Homeowner claims it's been down for 1 week. Diagnosis revealed- Filter needs replacement. Blower capacitor failing. Blower wheel heavy with build up. Leaks and rust in evaporator coil. Flue pipe not secured at all. Compressor capacitor seems to have had an attempt of replacement but was wired incorrectly. Inrush amps exceed manufacturers data tag. Compressor is shorted to ground on the start winding. I expressed to Homeowner the issues on the current system. She understood and agreed to have a CA appointment 8/2/24 @5-7 to discuss replacement with a more reliableand efficientsystem. Customer service to run a pre approval application, informed Rob G of this. The garage was converted so please account for the extra square footage when sizing the proper system. Large dog (scary), exposed wires in hallway. I believe the homeowners are renovating the home.
Electrical evaluation. Customer has a kitchen outlet not working. House is crawling floor to ceiling with roaches. I advised customer that we value their membership but that would need to be adressed first before we can service his outlet not working. Bad bad.
07/22/24 TS- basic checkup. House water pressure was low 35psi. All fixtures sinks and toilet need updating. No leaks and waterheater is not old
Tech Cody arrived to customer's home and met the homeowner. The system was calling for cool but not getting voltage outside. I diagnosed a faulty thermostat that was not giving voltage to the Y wire. I shared my findings with the homeowner and explained the benefits of the home and budget protection club. He decided that he did not want to conduct the work today and declined to join our membership.

Arrived for service Eval Evap coil shedding water straight onto the filter instead of into the drain pan. Coil needs to be replaced and a UV system should be installed to eliminate all biological growth from the system Biological growth present on the coil drain pan, Blower wires, and coil door insulation Condenser Dual run cap and hard start kit are not secured to the unit correctly and should be remind to prevent issues
For this evaluation the customer stated the Evap coil had frozen all the way to the compressor. When I got in the attic the blower was not running and the control board was throwing a "b1" code indicating the blower lost connection to the integrated control module. I disconnected the wires and plugged them back in and made sure they weren't loose and turned it back on. The blower started running normally. At the condenser I had a 33⁰ Superheat, and my amp draws looked good. I left with the system cooling just fine.
For this evaluation I showed up to the customer's home and they stayed at the unit was having a hard time keeping up and not blowing cold air all the time. I showed up the furnace was working so I started outside and gauged up where my sub cool was 10 degrees and superheat was around 8° indicating good levels of refrigerant. However when I tested the capacitor it was out of tolerance so I recommended replacing it and the customer requested me to do so. I could not find any explanation as to why the system was not keeping up as there was no float switch, and refrigerant levels looked good.
Upon arrival Customer stated indoor was working and blowing but Condenser was not coming on at all. After evaluation found Condenser was throwing open start circuit code and found Dual run capacitor was weak. Replaced 35/5 dual run cap, reset system and system is running as should.
Arrived for free second opinion X13 inconsistent and needs to be replaced Dual run capacitor out of tolerance in the compressor side and likely to fail this summer Homeowner will talk it over with his wife and get back to us
Cody B. completed annual hvac tuneup.
Tech Cody arrived to customer's home. The homeowner informed me that they had another AC tech out to their house before us, after he left they notcied that the home wasnt cooling and that the outdoor unit wasnt running, the homeowner found the disconnect was removed from its plug. When i arrived the unit was running but not cooling, outside the fan motor was not running, when I inspected the unit I found that the fan wire was not connected to the auxiliary motor starter. The homeowner wanted me to conduct a minor electrical repair to get the system running, after my repair I hooked up my guages and found the system to be low on refrigerant. I found no leak in the linesets and the homeowner wanted me to charge the system with refrigerant. At the indoor unit I noticed a vibrating noise coming from the system, upon further inspection I found it to be nothing harmful to the system but just vibration from the blower making noise. The system was cooling when I left.
