CommonFort Worth HomeownerQuestions

In most of Fort Worth, we offer same-day appointments and 24/7 emergency service, including nights and weekends — with no overtime charges. From our Bryant Irvin Road office we cover the whole metro, so a technician is usually close by. Call (817) 341-5149 and we’ll give you a realistic arrival window.

Yes. We know a new AC system, furnace, or panel upgrade is a big expense, so we offer financing options to fit your budget. We also quote honest, upfront pricing before any work starts – you’ll never see a surprise on the bill. Ask your technician about current Fort Worth financing plans.

First, check your thermostat is set to “cool” and the temperature is below room temp. Second, look at your air filter – a clogged filter chokes airflow fast in our dusty summers. Third, check the outdoor unit for debris or a tripped breaker. If it’s still warm, call us and we’ll come diagnose it.

Absolutely. Comfort Experts has been licensed, insured, and family-operated since 1962, and we earned the BBB Torch Award for Marketplace Ethics. Every technician is background-checked, trained, and certified. You can verify our Texas licenses anytime – your family’s safety is the whole point.

A total rip off
The gentleman used a sheet metal screw to remove a protective red cap on the refrigerant line instead of a special key. He checked the motor capacitor and quoted a price to replace it which is at least 10 times the Amazon equipment price which I accepted and honored. He checked the refrigerant pressure and had to call the office because he did not understand the values. He wanted to check the air filter, wanted to know when it was installed (May 2026) he wanted to install a new air filter. I insisted that an air filter could not be the problem. He added some refrigerant and got better pressure readings but not adequate. He quoted a price of about $800 for a leak test. At that, I asked the gentleman to leave and paid what I owed. Previously, the problem was a valve at the evaporator coil and it had to be replaced several times over the years. He did not act on this information but wanted to do a leak test. This firm appears to charge an excessive amount for their services. I will not use this firm again.

Ian was a true blessing today! Im a New homeowner and only been in my home since April. So it was a huge surprise that i was having issues with my toilet backing up into my tub! Recently I had a great referral from Angies list and decided to do the same to find a plumber. Comfort experts were the first to call and Rebecca was extremely helpful in setting appointment. Within the hour I had a knock on my door and was greeted by Ian and his personable smile! Although I was hesitant to proceed after the quote Ian assured me that he was knowledgeable and his integrity spoke volumes! He treated me like a human being first and customer second which confirmed I made the right choice in moving forward with him completing the repair. Furthermore, Ian kept me informed with exactly what he was doing and completed the job in under an hour. In speaking to him I found out he was a Veteran which further explains why I absolutely love this guy! Ian you ROCK and I really appreciate you!

I installed a 60k BTU gas upflow furnace with current filtration and a code kit. The duct system was redesigned for optimal efficiency. I added R29 insulation to cover 2300 square feet, enhancing energy retention. The outdoor unit was relocated to the backside of the house, around the corner, ensuring quieter operation and better aesthetics.

I paused the current job to discuss the next steps with Rob, who is preparing a building estimate. The customer will speak with Rob Goldate later today to finalize the estimate for a new system. The customer has expressed a need for the new system to be installed by tomorrow. I ensured all necessary preparations were made for the installation, including gathering required materials and tools. I coordinated with Rob to confirm the timeline and any specific requirements for the installation. The customer is eager to proceed, and I am ready to support the installation process to meet the tight deadline.

Upon receiving a call about an HVAC system issue, I promptly attended to the problem. The customer's system had experienced failure in both the capacitor and hard start components. After a thorough inspection, I replaced the faulty hard start kit and installed a new fan capacitor. To enhance the system's efficiency and reliability, I also installed a soft start component. Following the installation, I conducted a series of tests to ensure that all components were functioning correctly. The system is now running smoothly, and the customer is satisfied with the improved performance. Thank you for choosing our services.

Upon arrival, I identified a tripped wet switch causing system failure. I cleared the primary drain line with 6 gallons of water, ensuring proper drainage. The wet switch was falsely tripping, so I recommended condensate pan tablets to prevent future issues. I verified a 19° temperature split and checked refrigerant pressures. A dirty air filter was replaced. The system was restored to full operation, cooling effectively. Thank you for choosing our service.

A customer reached out with concerns about humidity levels in their home. After a thorough assessment, I explored various solutions and ultimately decided on the installation of a software device in the outdoor system. This device helps regulate humidity more effectively. I also checked the refrigerant pressures to ensure they were within the optimal range and inspected the drain lines to confirm they were clear and functioning properly. Following these steps, the system is now operating as intended, providing the customer with a more comfortable living environment. Thank you for choosing Comfort Experts for your comfort needs.

Upon arrival, I first addressed the upstairs condenser fan motor, which had stopped functioning due to a faulty capacitor. After replacing the capacitor, the system resumed normal operation. Next, I inspected the downstairs system, which was not achieving the desired temperature. A thorough search revealed a leak in the evaporator coil. I then discussed the potential repair and replacement options with the customer, providing a detailed comparison to help them make an informed decision. The customer appreciated the thorough assessment and will consider the options presented. Thank you for choosing our services.

Upon arrival, I conducted a thorough investigation into the reported odor. After careful examination, I identified the source as a leak in the evap coil. This component is crucial for the system's operation, and its malfunction was causing the unpleasant smell. Additionally, I detected another leak outside the system. Given the age of the unit, which exceeds ten years, it was not surprising to find multiple leaks. I addressed the internal leak by repairing the evap coil, ensuring the system would function properly again. For the external leak, I recommended further inspection and potential replacement to prevent further damage.

Upon arrival, I diagnosed an issue with a cooling system that wasn't responding to the thermostat's cooling command. After checking for 24v and confirming the absence of a call signal, I jumped the thermostat wires, which successfully activated the unit. This confirmed a faulty thermostat. I replaced the thermostat under warranty, ensuring the system was cooling effectively before concluding the service. Thank you for choosing our services.

I successfully installed a Level 2, 60,000 BTU gas closet unit, ensuring optimal heating efficiency. The duct system was meticulously designed and installed to provide even distribution of heated air throughout the space. I applied R30 insulation to enhance energy efficiency and maintain a consistent indoor temperature. Additionally, I relocated the outdoor unit to the back side of the house, which not only improved the aesthetics but also facilitated better airflow and operational efficiency. Each step was executed with precision, ensuring the system operates safely and effectively.

Upon arrival, I reviewed the invoice and discussed the issue with the customer, who reported a wet filter. After diagnosing the problem, I explained that the evaporator coil was frozen due to inadequate airflow. I provided quotes for a temporary motor or an OEM motor replacement, noting the OEM motor would not be available until Tuesday. The customer declined both options and opted to use window units temporarily. I recommended leaving the system off until repairs are completed. The system was turned off, and I ensured the customer understood the next steps.

Upon arrival, I found the thermostat blank and the system off. After thorough testing, I discovered a loose connection in the wiring harness to the blower motor, causing a short to the thermostat. I secured the connections and tested the unit, restoring proper cooling. If the issue recurs, I recommend replacing the wiring connections with new ones to ensure reliability. The system is now functioning correctly.

During the Super Tune-Up, I began by inspecting the refrigerant pressures, which were within the proper range. I then cleaned the outdoor condenser and examined all internal components to ensure proper operation. Next, I moved to the indoor unit, flushing about one gallon of water through the primary drain line to ensure proper drainage and checked the drain system for smooth flow. I also inspected the internal components and verified the temperature split between the supply and return plenums, which was 21°F, exceeding the recommended minimum of 15°F. I replaced the system filter and completed a final inspection of all components. Although I recommended a soft-start kit and condensate packets, the customer chose not to proceed with these at this time but did sign up for the Comfort Care Club membership. The system was cooling properly and operating fully as intended.

During my visit, I identified a burnt-out capacitor and a malfunctioning hard start kit. These components were critical to the system's operation, and their failure was causing significant issues. I promptly replaced the burnt-out capacitor and the hard start kit with new, high-quality parts. After the replacements, I conducted thorough testing to ensure everything was functioning correctly. The system was restored to its optimal performance, meeting the customer's immediate needs. Additionally, we discussed the possibility of a complete system replacement to prevent future issues. The customer expressed interest in this option and we scheduled a follow-up discussion for 3 PM today to explore this further.

Upon inspection, the fan capacitor was found to be faulty, but it was not checked due to its challenging placement at the back of the blower unit. Despite this, the fan was functioning correctly, and no charge was applied. The system was operating smoothly, and the issue with the capacitor was noted for future attention.
