Checked both unit systems. Smaller Amana furnace performed well. Electrical and ignition components are in good shape. Electrical connections are sound. Outside smaller Amana is also in good shape. Amp draws are in range. Capacitor is within tolerances. Bigger Amana system furnace is doing well. Electricals and ignition components are sound. Outside unit amp draws and capacitor tolerances are in range. Amp start up for compressor is out of range by 1 above. Both systems filters need a change. Talked to customer about uv light and compressor saver systems. System left in working order. Added in hard start kit for both systems
Came to system not cooling. Inside unit is covered in dirt and debree. Ducts need cleaning. System is out of refrigerant. Pressures at 0. Talked to customer about leak check and repair, as well as adding r-22.
Pulled ground and replaced gfci
Went to house for cooling tune up on one electric carrier system. Checked indoor unit in heating first, electrical connections are secure, changed filter, evaporator coil is not corroded, drain lines are clear, drain pan is clear, blower is clean, ducts are dusty, recommended duct clean. Heating strip are operational, unit is functional in heating, switched into cooling and checked outdoor condensor unit. Fan amps are normal, compressor amps good, compressor savor is working, condensor coil is clean, recommended unit surge protection or whole home surge protection to protect unit and appliances. Recommended IAQ upgrades to increase air quality. The system is operational in cooling and in heating.
#iaq Checked inside and outside units. Inside unit had impacted fine dirt in both coil and blower. Ducts needed to be cleaned as well. Electrical connections are sound. Outside unit amp draws are within ranges. Capacitor is within tolerances. Cleaned outside coil. System left in working order in cool
Went to home for evaluation on one system, downstairs condensor unit not operational. Checked fan amps compressor amps, and contactor. All are good, not receiving signal to turn on outdoor, went to indoor to check electrical connections, connections are good. Went back to outdoor and checked capacitor, unplugged disconnect. Capacitor is within tolerance, put disconnect back it and the unit turned on. Recommended new safety disconnect box, unit is now functional is heating and cooling. Unit is downstairs system, upstairs system is functioning properly.
upon arrival for 17 year old Goodman dual fuel system the downstairs furnace was not coming on. Inspected furnace. Thermal safety not functioning. Gas valve stuck closed. Ignitor damaged but functioning. Inducer motor has a lot of play in the shaft and is running high amps. Inducer motor makes loud scrapping sound when spinning up. Noticed while inspecting upstairs furnace has all the same issues expected the gas valve is sticking not stuck and the thermal safety is still functioning. Do to number of issues with systems and age recommended speaking with engineer. Customer agreed and scheduled engineer for Saturday March 18th, 9-12.
Performed ahc. System operation is normal. 17 year old carrier gas. Heat exposure on heat exchanger, evaporator coil is severely rusted and corroded, refrigerant levels in range, capacitor and fan motor recently replaced, cleaned condenser coil. Talked to customer about solar #solar
3/17/23 upon arrival found system heating and cooling with a 20 dt. Amana straight cool system and a goodman straight cool system. Recommended compressor saver on the upstairs system. Changed filter on the downstairs system. Customer doesn't have a filter for their upstairs unit but they dont use it a lot. Checked capacitors on both systems and both are within tolerance
Went to house for super tune up on one amana system. Checked indoor unit in heating first, electrical connections are tight, changed filter, ducts are clean, blower is clean, drain lines clear, evaporator coil is good. Biological growth starting to form in unit, recommended uv system to sterilize bacteria. Unit idls functional in heating, went to outdoor condensor unit and checked it in cooling. Electrical connections are good, condensor coil is clean, fan amps are normal, compressor amps are fine. Defrost operation is good, unit is functioning properly in cooling. The system is operational.
