Job Locations and Reviews
For this eval I showed up to the customer's home and was informed the unit has not been working since january. Upon going into the attic I noticed this house is operated via a zone system and the fuse was popped. I replaced the fuse and jumped R&Y. After doing this the system ran for approximately 30 seconds and then popped the fuse again. Upon this happening I went to the condenser and the condenser was not running, I tested voltage and was getting 240 on the lower legs, but no voltage on the top or bottom because the contactor was not engaged, signifying there was no call from the thermostat. I checked the thermostats again and they were both in cooling and set to 68°, I went back to the Attic and tested the transformer and was getting 120 volts but no 24 volt call. I changed out the transformer and the system ran for another 30 seconds and popped another fuse. I tested voltage again on the bus bar at C&Y and R&Y with no voltage reading. I went back to the condenser and swapped out
For this super tune-up I inspected both units furnace and condensers. All equipment was measuring up with a manufacturer specs and running well. With the customers having 4 in box filters, I do recommend the AprilAire upgrade kit, for better dust capture unless wear on equipment overtime. Additionally both UV lamps were out therefore I recommend replacing those bulbs if they feel like they're beneficial to them, as well as installing compressor savers on both condensers to lower the amperage on startup. Lastly I do recommend home surge protection as they have both units and this will protect any damage during lightning strikes or major power surges.

Tech arrived at a 2 system tuneup. Upon inspection, the bedroom system was aged and dirty. This system was not functioning in cooling mode. There was air leakage that was repaired. The capacitors were within specs. The main system was also dirty. The drain line was clogged. The customer was informed of recommendations today. They decided to unclog the main system primary line and add a treatment strip to help keep the drain system clean. These actions were performed and tested. The customer will call back in to upgrade the filter and have the system cleaned. The bedroom system was not functioning upon departure.
Install 36k heat pump mini split
Annual heat and air conditioning tune up.
For this cooling tune up I inspected the airhandler and condenser. All equipment was within manufacturers specs. I recommend a level 1 duct cleaning, a UV system, and surge protection. Customer will call if interested at a later time.
During inspection verified that systems were working properly Spoke to customer about recommendations for the system and also a duct cleaning for his upstairs system due to the amount of build up inside the ducts The customer just wanted to go ahead and get the compressor savers installed onto the systems today and have us back out the next time to install the uv systems and do a duct cleaning
Tech Cody Brooks arrive to customer's home. I met Mrs Elliott and she directed me inside to the thermostat and attic access. I started indoors with replacing the filters, and open up the cabinet to do my visual inspection. The coil and blower both looked clean, as well as the drain pan. I then turned the unit on to heat and the furnace went through all safeties without issue and the inducer motor was pulling amperage within tolerance according to manufacturer. I then headed outside and started with washing down the coil, there was lots of dirt and dust buildup but I got it all out and removed all the dirt and leaves from the bottom of the unit. The compressor and fan motor both had runnimg amps below manufacturer specifications. The unit did not have a hard start kit Installed and this was reflected with a high in Rush amp test. I then attempted to get the coils to dry but it has been raining the entire job and so I was not able to get accurate refrigerant readings. I informed the cust

Found high cut out to be broken and not allowing out side system to turn on Temporary jumped high pressure switch and system ran as normal Relayed Information to customer Customer only wanted high pressure switch to be bypass at this time
I found that the pool pump was a mess of wires so I remade the connections and the GFCI then worked
System is working and in tolerance on the new system. I changed both filters and washed condensor. The older system is failing from time to time due to temp sensor failing. No telling how long that will work for.
