Air Conditioning Cedar Hill TX Heating Service

Are you a resident of Cedar Hill, Texas or a surrounding area? If so, you know that as summer temperatures rise, it gets increasingly difficult to stay cool. The average summer day in Cedar Hill, Texas is 95 degrees, and temperatures can often feel higher due to the dry air. All Cedar Hill, Texas residents know that having a plan to stay cool is important when summer is on its way.

Complete AC Repair in Cedar Hill, Texas

Take stock of your home before summer approaches and identify the areas in which you need to weatherize your home. Make sure the icemaker is producing ice, the windows have a good seal, and you have curtains covering windows that let in a lot of light. Most importantly, complete your AC repair early, and don’t wait for the heat to strike. Call a technician to perform your AC repair in Cedar Hill, Texas in the spring, when temperatures are still lower than 80 degrees. Cedar Hill, Texas AC repair is your best defense against the summer heat.

Keep Yourself Hydrated

Even when your AC repair in Cedar Hill, Texas has been completed and your AC unit is in working order, it can still be difficult to keep your body cool at all times, especially when first coming inside after being out in the heat. Always keep hydrating beverages on hand. Water is the best choice when hydrating but you can always drink iced tea, cold sports drinks, or juice when you want the added flavor.

Use Fans to Keep the Air Moving

Keep a few oscillating fans on hand in addition to your ceiling fans. Make sure all of your fans are in good working order. When your Cedar Hill air conditioner has been maintained, the temperature of your home will be cool. Fans are a great addition to the cool air as they help to circulate the air your AC unit is cooling. As the air moves with more force, the temperature of your home begins to feel much cooler, even if it doesn’t actually bring down the temperature via the air conditioning unit.

Cook During the Cooler Hours of the Day

If you have to cook, try to avoid the hottest part of the day. Your AC unit is already working against the heat of the outdoors, and any extra heat from inside will make it harder to maintain a cool temperature. Cook your meals early in the morning to avoid adding extra heat to the already high temperatures.

Limit Exposure to the Outdoors and Cool Off Quickly When Returning Indoors

Try not to spend long periods of time outside during the hot summer months. If it is necessary to spend time outside, have a plan to cool yourself off quickly when you return inside. Even when your Cedar Hill AC unit is in ideal working order, it will be a few minutes before your body will cool down after the abuse of the scorching summer heat. Try eating a popsicle or enjoying sherbet or a soda float while you sit in the cooler air maintained by your AC unit.

Above any other practice, it is most important to make sure that you always put proper AC repair and maintenance in Cedar Hill, Texas at the top of your to-do list if you want to stay cool. Without a functioning AC unit, there is no tip to helping you effectively beat the high heat of the summer in Cedar Hill.

Well I can't really say much about the service from today due to not much was done. But I will say, Marshall was my tech. He checked all the vents for me w/his phone. They all showed to be putting out 45 to 46 degree of air. He said that was normal. The noise that I was hearing from the downstairs vent in the kitchen was gone. Unfortunately, there was no noise. But I know what we been hearing. (My father was present but I couldn't get him to verify the noise because he was w/the physical therapist at the time Marshall was here. I told him maybe it was because the heater had just been turned on. But I will and can say, he had a great personality & and was very kind to me! He was well attentive to my concerns. I appreciate his tenacity regarding his job knowledge! I would like to say I'm gonna give him a (AVERAGE RATE) because much wasn't done.

12/7/22 Upon arrival found system cooling and heating with a 20DT. Cleaned condenser coil and checked filter. Filter was changed by customer yesterday and condenser coil was clean. Waxed top and checked LRA. Lra was too high and I recommended a compressor saver. Customer approved and I installed the compressor saver. LRA after the install was 50. Upon arrival found system running and cooling. I evaluated the indoor unit found blower motor very dirty and blower wheel had dirt and dust Caked Up on all the louvers. Blower motor was working very hard and running on very high amperage. Coil was very Rusty on the side and could potentially be a leak in the refrigerant. Some wiring going to the heat strip kit was damaged and melting I uploaded pictures in the tune up form. I also presented every finding inside the indoor unit to the customers that she could be aware of what was going on and see it for herself as being a homeowner. I then proceeded to evaluate the outdoor unit and found compressor and condenser fan motor both working. Compressor sounds super sluggish and is struggling to maintain. System is R22 and also was found low on R22 refrigerant. Contactor was also found chattering and not making a complete contact. Dual capacitor was tested and found within manufacturer spec. I spoke with the customer about the situation of rep

Good amp draw through coil. Inspected outdoor unit. Fan and compressor amp draw within unit specifications. Capacitor out of tolerance. Replaced capacitor. Recommended duct cleaning.
