On the previous visit, the technician believed the issue to be a bad breaker being that the condenser started and breaker stayed for the remainder of the visit. On this visit the breaker was not staying on and it was breaking almost immediately. Meg ohm checked the compressor to find that it has a short to ground. Technician believes that on previous visit the compressor may have had a floating ground that has now completely grounded. Need to order compressor under parts and labor warranty ASAP. System is down.

Arrived to no cool. 77 degrees inside the home. Outdoor unit was not turning on. Circuit board on the heat pump was giving 08 code meaning no line voltage. Discovered tripped 50 amp cutler hammer breaker. Flipped breaker and it tripped again. Meg ohm checked compressor to find it was fine. Flipped breaker back and it stayed. Technician believes the issue to be a bad breaker. Could not recreate the problem again. Customer states that #2 zone in the back bedroom doesn’t cool properly.
