Arrived at eval Customer stated the stop working yesterday Ran test and the compressor prongs were not showing continuity. Relayed information to customer that this is a sign of a bad compressor or the compressor in heat overload. Also found a leak in the service valve Talked about replacement vs refurbishment. Customer would like to talk to comfort advisor to have another option Comfort advisor appointment 07/25/24 10-12
Arrived at eval Customer stated after the rain the wet switch was going on and off Customer also stated that the area was wet Recommend sealing the roof where the flue pipe exits at the roof Also recommend upping their membership to gain labor warranty Customer is calling home owners to confirm the okay of membership
Arrived for eval Customer stated system wasn’t working Ran test and found out the cap was bad and the breaker had flipper Customer stated that a storm with lightning and thunder came through a couple days ago Recommend new disconnect because of the old one being out of code and a whole home surge protector. Customer okayed Both and I installed and system was running before I left
7/15/24 No answer the door when arrived knocked and rang doorbell multiple times.
For this evaluation customer stated the unit was only blowing hot air. At the condenser, the fan was running but the compressor was not. Upon inspecting the defrost control board had failed based on the fault codes, or lack of. Additionally the high pressure sensor wires were clean cut, upon reconnecting them the compressor turned on and started running, however pulling 15.20 amps with an RLA of 16, meaning the compressor was very close to overamping. I had a 20⁰ Superheat, 26⁰ Subcool meaning the system is likely overcharged. Additionally after speaking with the customer they stated a another person that come out a few hours before me added r22 refrigerant, and replace the capacitor however when he added a refrigerant it caused the system to be overcharged which will likely cause issues in the future and the wrong size capacitor was put on making the fan AMP higher than it should. But the customer's permission I clean the coil and replace the capacitor with the new one of the right s
System drian line was clogged up and tripping float switch. Today clear the drian and gave it 4 gallons of water. System is back online and cooling.
This evaluation I show up to the customer's home and he stated the thermostat would be on periodically and then turn off. Thermostat is powered by common not by batteries so I went upstairs and check the drain line where I poured half a gallon down the drain and it would not drain like it should. I took a piece of PVC and blew out the drain and poured another gallon down and it drained just fine.

During inspection verify that system was cooling properly Discovered that at the indoor unit motor had a little play in the shaft and customer said that he had a drain line problem at one point and was able to get it clogged in system seem to be draining at time of inspection During inspection of the outdoor unit verified that capacitor what's within manufacturers spec in that refrigerant levels were also within manufacture spec, the compressor was pulling slightly over manufactured spec for in Rush amps Spoke to customer about findings and give him pricing on a compressor saver to pull down those amps and also spoke to him about setting up an appointment with a comfort advisor to talk about a mini split Customer wanted to hold off for now on the compressor saver and also hold off on setting up an appointment for the comfort advisor and said he would call in once they decide to move forward on either Left with system operating properly

The capaitor test 44/5 whitch is still in tolerance. The contactor has continuity on both poles. The freon levels are on point. The tD in the house is 20. I washed the condensor and tested the heating side of the system. I expect the system to do very well this summer.
System running and cooling producing a 20 degree delta. Changed out capicator under warranty.
Tech arrived at a service call. Upon inspection, there was a crack in the primary drain pan. The pan is 48*5in. The service cover was left in the open position so that the water will drain into the tub. The customer will speak with her husband and let us know what they decide.
Tech arrived at a tune-up. Upon inspection the Delta was very low. The system was a little dirty. The indoor coil was rusted. The drain was clear and bleach was poured. The capacitor was within specs. The refrigerant was low and the TXV was not functioning. The system was leak searched and there was a leak located at the pump-down low side valve (refer to video). The customer was informed of recommendations today. Due to age, condition and price of repairs; it is recommended that the customer speak with a Comfort Advisor about upgrading to something more reliable with warranties behind it. He agreed and the meeting is set for Monday.
I will be returning on Saturday the 11th to install a new attic fan motor
Tech arrived at a warranty tuneup. Upon inspection, the inverter board was functioning. The refrigerant and Delta was within range. The filter was replaced. The UV system was functioning. The powered attic fan was not functioning and the attic was hot. The customer was informed of recommendations today. He would like an electrician to evaluate the fan on Wednesday May 8th afternoon. The HVAC system was functioning upon departure.
Tech arrived at a tune-up. Upon inspection, the capacitor was within specs. The contactor was scorched. The condenser fan motor was noisy and labored. The condenser coils were hosed off to assist with air flow across the coils. The filter was relatively clean. The Delta and refrigerant was within range. The drain system was clear and bleach was poured. The customer was informed of recommendations today. The system was functioning upon departure.
During inspection verified that systems were working properly Spoke to customer about recommendations for the system and that the main concern was that his cap was barely within tolerance and would most likely fail this summer Customer wanted to hold off on everything for now and call us if he decided to move forward with any of the recommendations
Tech arrived at a service call. Upon inspection, the system was found low on refrigerant. The customer added refrigerant last year. The customer was informed of the recommendations today. He decided to get more information about replacement. The system was left in the Off position to avoid further damages.
