For this evaluation the customers house was 88⁰ and set at 75⁰. Another company had to come out and inspected the unit and replaced the fan motor in June, and this last time told them they needed to replace the evaporator coil or the whole system. I got there, the furnace was running, and blowing hot air and the condenser was running as well however when I gauged up I had a below freezing saturation temp indicating low refrigerant. I explained to the customer that it is a sealed system and the only way refrigerant is lost is by a leak. The reason it is blowing hot air is because there's not enough refrigerant in the system to absorb enough heat from the home. Customer would like to speak with a CA about replacement.

On arrival system running and cooling producing 20 degree delta. Indoor unit was dusty and blower capicator out of tolerance. Outdoor units start kit and dual run capicator out of tolerance. Replaced both, when I left system running and cooling with no issues.

Ductwork under house has sections that are no longer attached. For this evaluation I showed up to the customer's home and he has a mini split and window unit. The mini split was not keeping up nor cooling nearly as well as it was in the past. When I went outside the lines were sweating however I do not have the connections to gauge up to a mini split. This mini split was installed back in 2020 and I talked to the customer about possibly installing a very small furnace and condenser since that comes with a 10 year warranty.

On arrival system running and cooling producing an 18 degree delta. Indoor unit is clean and the drain lines flowed when flushed. Outdoor unit passed all electrical testing. System running and cooling as I left.

Emailed new estimate. Cust will sign and we can get it scheduled

Performed plumbing inspection talked with the husband about recommendations. He’s going to talk to the wife and call to schedule for us to come out and get it done based off what day his wife wants us back out to do it.

Arrived for EVal System was working but customer was wondering why system wasn’t keeping up Looked at both units. Blower was super dirty and had bio growth on it, evap coil was super caked up, out side unit was super dirty and the frigerant was r22 and at 20 degrees and low. Recommend evap coil replacement, blower clean and charging system to running specs. Relayed information to customer and discussed the recommendation and about getting a new unit. Customer is busy this week with doctor appointments but would like a call back to get a comfort advisor on 4/19/24 to set up an appointment.

His house was recently built but the brand of panel has the gfci's go out way faster than normal so I talked to her about possibly separating out the gfci's so that the heat buildup will be a lot less

Customer was not on site called and customer authorized me to enter home. Tested all components all measured within ratings and specs. Refrigerant level is normal. Washed and cleaned condenser. Heavy dust composites found in return and supply plenum. Heavy buildup on blower wheel and uv light ballast is out of operation and warranty. Spoke with customer over phone before departing system's set to off. Sent customer estimates via email.
