Upon arrival system was in not on. Thermostat had called for cool but neither indoor or outdoor came on. Using a jumper cable at the thermostat base , both indoor and outdoor came on. Recommended a new thermostat. Installed new thermostat, unit was running heat mode. Re programmed thermostat and system is now cooling. Left system in working position.
Upon arrival for service system off. Thermostat severely damaged. Rerouted wires to other side of wall and installed wiring onto backplate and mounted it.
