On this job I brought her 4 April aire filters.
Etu. No issues. No recommendations.
On arrival system running and cooling producing a 20 degree delta. Indoor unit was clean and the furnace ran with no issues. Outdoor unit passed all electrical testing. System running and cooling as I left.
Repaired copper water line coming up for water hose bibb in front yard. Tested after repairs were made everything working properly.
On this job the furnace would not come on because handy man left the gas valve closed. After reviewing the system more I found disconnect lid open as well. I'm pausing this call until 4 April aire filters come in.
For this cooling tune-up I inspected the furnace and condenser. All equipment was measuring within manufacturer specs and running well. I do not foresee any issues for the rest of the cooling season I cleaned off the condenser and change the filter, the capacitor and contactor were both good and refrigerant levels were also normal.
09/10/24 TS- customer shows me to the thermostat for ac and forgot what the waterheater call or anything about it. Checked whole house and she still has hot water. Just a wellness check up
Electrical to HVAC she says her air conditioning goes out periodically couldn't get much more information would like tech to come out tomorrow to check it out
She is very elderly and you can tell her short term memory isn't good. I found the house at 78. Strong 20 split. Drain flowing great. Super subcool and pressures all checked out. Pics in the form. It satisfied at 78 and she said see it just stops. I asked her what temp she wanted it and she said 78. I explained that the unit will kick off when it reaches the desired temp. Asked her if it's comfortable to her and she said yes. She was just concerned about it turning off.

Customer claimed shower goes cold. Every thing is working how it should be 2 handle shower valve. Water heater in garage is working good. Believe customer may be turning cold handle to much canceling out the hot
07/29/24 TS- upon arrival the waterheaters pilot light was lite and after running the kitchen hot water to test. The waterheater turn on and booted up. No initial signs of an issue at this time. Because the unit is over 16 years old I informed her that it will need to be replaced soon. New waterheater will need additional charge for extra hand on getting waterheater out of attic space.
For the evaluation I showed up to the customer's home and she stated her system would work then turn off then come back on again. This led me to believe it was the float switch so I flush the drain line with compressor and poured a gallon of water and it drained just fine. Have to get in sir I was getting a compressor short cycling fault and the cheat sheet stated it could be intermittent signal from the thermostat and the thermostat in the house is pretty old. I informed the customer the drain line is clear however if it continues to give her issues her thermostat will need to be replaced as everything else appeared in good working order.
Arrived for eval Ran test and figured out it was the dual cap out side Replaced cap and checked refrigerant System running before I left
During inspection verified that system was working properly Spoke to customer about a pan strip and she wanted to move forward with the purchase so that she has peace of mind about her drain line
Unclogged the toilet in hall bathroom toilet was clogged.
Upon arrival customer stated that she didn't know if the AC was having any problems she just wanted to check it out and make sure it was working properly Checked out system thoroughly and found no problems and system had an almost 20 degree delta after switching it to cooling Spoke to customer and let them know they need a new filter due to it being heavily caked and customer said we normally order her filters Customer also wanted to go ahead and get a compressor saver installed to lower the inrush amps on the compressor
Tech arrived at a warranty tuneup. Upon inspection the capacitor was within specs. The contactorless board was functioning. The condenser coils were hosed off to assist with air flow across the coils. The Delta was within range. The drain system was clear and bleach was poured. The heating system reached complete ignition. The ductwork and blower area was dirty. The attic insulation is very low. The customer was informed of recommendations today. She will discuss recommendations with her husband. Insulation can pay for itself, there are tax credits available and can extend the life of the system. She would like a call back in midMay. The Tech will follow up at that time. The system was functioning upon departure.
