I provided a comprehensive estimate to the pastor, based on information from Rob, for a Level 2 project. This included a code kit, a protective cage around the outdoor unit, and the addition of a return. The project involved detailed planning and precise execution to ensure all components were installed correctly and safely. The cage was custom-fitted to protect the unit while the return was integrated seamlessly into the existing system.
Today, I conducted a comprehensive cooling tune-up on an Amana gas furnace paired with a straight cool condenser from 2012. I meticulously checked all electrical connections, ensuring they were secure and free from corrosion. Refrigerant levels were verified to be within the acceptable range, and all amp draws were found to be normal. The air filter was replaced, and the outdoor units were thoroughly cleaned, washed, and waxed. The furnace is now operating efficiently, providing peace of mind to the customer as they prepare to move.
During the service, I addressed a leak at the customer's pressure tank coupling. I also provided an estimate for installing outdoor lighting. A safety check was conducted on an 11-year-old Trane heat pump, and I reassured the customer about the IAQ 300 system by showing visual evidence of no biological growth. The dryer vent was inspected for blockages, and all electrical components were verified to be within specifications. The system operated correctly at the time of departure. Additionally, I arranged for a plumber to address the pressure tank leak and scheduled an electrician for an outdoor lighting estimate.
On 5/18/26, I performed routine maintenance on a 24kw Generac air-cooled generator. The maintenance included changing the oil and oil filter, replacing the air filter, and installing new spark plugs. I also checked the valve spacing and gas pressure to ensure they were within the manufacturer's specifications. Despite the generator running smoothly, it failed to transfer power to the panel. I verified that all relays and wiring were correctly installed and confirmed voltage reaching the coil on the transfer switch. However, the switch did not allow power to transfer through to the panel. I will return with Mark W on Wednesday after 1 PM to further diagnose and resolve the issue.
I conducted a thorough system check following the recent storms. I began by inspecting all major components to ensure they were functioning correctly. This included examining the electrical systems, HVAC units, and plumbing. I also checked for any signs of damage or wear that might have occurred during the storms. After a comprehensive evaluation, I confirmed that the system was operating efficiently with no detected issues. All systems are currently running smoothly, and I provided recommendations for ongoing maintenance to ensure continued optimal performance.
We successfully replaced the existing can lights with new, energy-efficient models, ensuring they were properly installed and functioning. Additionally, we scheduled an appointment for an AC technician to inspect the air conditioning system today. The technician will evaluate the system's performance, check for any issues, and provide recommendations for maintenance or repairs. Our team is committed to ensuring all home services are completed efficiently and to the highest standard.
I replaced the DC heat sequencer and rectifier, ensuring all components were correctly installed. Following the replacement, I conducted a thorough system check. During this process, I confirmed that the heat strips were not operational. To address this, I adjusted the system settings and verified that the cooling function was working properly. The system was left in the cool mode to ensure optimal performance.
I completed a meter upgrade for a residential property. The homeowner requested a new meter installation due to outdated equipment. After assessing the current system, I installed the new meter, ensuring it was properly connected and functioning. The homeowner had reported previous damages, and we were awaiting insurance verification to cover the costs. I coordinated with the insurance company to expedite the verification process, ensuring the homeowner would be reimbursed for the upgrade. The new meter was successfully installed, enhancing the property's electrical system efficiency.
During the inspection, I thoroughly examined the breaker panel and found various styles of breakers. The GFCI outlet under the garbage disposal was incorrectly wired as a standard plug. I provided a detailed quote for panel rejuvenation and informed the homeowner that the GFCI could be covered by insurance. I await further instructions on the next steps.
I inspected the air handler after recent storms and discovered the upstairs heat strips were stuck on. The Carrier air handler, model FB4CNF024 with serial number 2010A6895, required a DC heat sequencer. I performed a safety inspection and identified the need for the part. The heat strips were temporarily unplugged, and both systems were functioning normally when I left. I will return with the replacement part.
Following recent adverse weather conditions, we conducted a complimentary inspection. Upon evaluation, we identified low refrigerant levels, traced to a leak in the field welds from a prior coil replacement. We meticulously repaired the welds, conducted a thorough pressure test, pulled a vacuum, and adjusted the refrigerant charge to optimal levels. The system was left fully operational, ensuring efficient cooling.
Performed complimentary inspection after severe storm. Gas furnace with a straight cool. All amp draws are within tolerance. Refrigerant levels are within spec. Electrical connections are tight. Blower wheel and evaporator coil are clean. Air filter is new. No other damage found to indoor or outdoor. Reccomend a compressor saver and surge protection to increase longevity and reliability of the equipment. Customer signed up on the home and budget protection plan.
Upon arrival customer stated air conditioner would not come on after recent storms daring evaluation found that the condenser was not receiving high voltage to the contactor found breaker for the condenser in main panel was tripped reset breaker and found compressor to pull with 303 amps and trip breaker again found the compressor windings to be grounded compressor has failed talked with customer about replacement due to age and parts availability customer decided to set up an appointment with a comfort advisor for next Saturday confirmed by the office 5/9/26
We installed a Micro Air Soft Start Kit, enhancing the system's efficiency and reducing strain on the compressor, ensuring smoother and quieter operation.
Came to house to give quote to do a generator plug on the outside of panel and did not have all the material needed to do it but dispatch told customer that we were going to have all the stuff to do it so I had to call Matt to go and end up getting an extra few parts for me and Brian also came and dropped off of course for me but Matt will be coming back tomorrow morning to swap out a breaker for a 60 AC tech to come out tomorrow as well to look at putting on soft start
Came to house for electrical being cut off from tornadoes and storms for the past few days and was coming out and electrical lineman that came out and hooked all the stuff up for the neighborhoods and customer had gotten power back on to his house so we're not here to check everything and make sure everything was good and got here and checked both panels and everything was connected and working all plugged switches and everything were fine
They are supposed to get there power back on in about 2 hours

Arrived to a free second opinion on a no cool on a 10 year old downflow heat pump. Found system to be low on refrigerant discovered leak in indoor coil on the front left hand corner. No current warranties on the existing system. Gave estimate to repair the unit and had a discussion regarding repairing vs replacing the system. Comfort advisor is scheduled to meet with the customer this afternoon regarding replacing the system. Due to the age, efficiency and repairs needed on the current system, it is advised to replace.
Fun arrival customer stated the system would not heat or cool say that they changed batteries and thermostat still would do nothing before starting the tune up found that the low voltage fuse was blown replaced fuse and ran system and cool with no issues as well as heat and emergency heat fuse never popped again completed tune up checking all electrical connections cleanliness of the system refrigerant levels and washing the outdoor unit found no other issues at this time
