Tech Cody arrived to customer's home and met the homeowners. When I arrived the outdoor unit was not coming on. I was informed that the unit was hit with a lawnmower by the landscaper knocking it off the pad. When I opened up the unit I found the system locked out due to an open start circuit. I diagnosed a failed compressor saver, and failed auxiliary motor starter, the wires connecting to the auxiliary motor starter were melted where on the hermetic side. I replaced both parts under warranty P&L, and afterwards the unit kicked back on. I checked the refrigerant charge and found it was within tolerable levels. I shared my findings with the homeowners and replaced their filter on the way out. System was cooling when I left.
These guys are great , professional and Very polite. Customer service was outstanding. Called them and they came out very quickly.

7/25/24 Arrived onsite tried to run camera from multiple avenues to figure out what was going on with system. Will need to return Monday and crawl under home and trace back piping for bathroom to find where the issue is cause camera is not making the curries correctly. Customer requested return visit for Monday of next week.

Upon arrival I cst showed to the rooms that were hotter then the rest of the house After inspection of attic and finding guilty kinked ducts, broken ducts, and return air leaks I recommend the cst talks to CA about duct work redesign. Also found that the air handler has been under level since it was installed after pulling blower door and blower motor I found lots of biological growth and corrosion, recommended getting UV system installed, emergency drain pan is bent and corroded recommend replacement CA scheduled for tomorrow

CtU completed Appon arrival superheat was low cleaned Condenser coils and system began running much more efficiently. Evap coil acceptable Electrical connections are tight and secure, capacitor within range, contactor operating correctly, cust recently changed filter Duct work in attic acceptable, recommend compressor saver

$583.83 was paid on Friday 7/19/24. This reflects the $49 service being applied to initial call if repairs were purchased. There is a chance I applied the numbers incorrectly. I replaced a capacitor (under manufacturersparts warranty), obtained a membership and homeowner purchased a 5t compressor saver. I did not have 5t compressor saver on my van. Today 7/23/24 I acquired the part, washed unit, and updated photos. System is fully functional. Pausing due to the unknown payment.

Service was to install a safety drain switch. Homeowner has been thinking of it since February 2024 (last technician visit). I noticed the pan treatment strip was outside optimal use. Saftey float switch installed on primary line. Condesate drain treatment strip replaced. I explained the need for a vent on the primary line, declined. System fully functional Drywall on pulldown ladder was compromised upon arrival.
He did a excellent inspection and explained everything he was doing and what was expected.

2.5t 2022 amana hp. Installed by Daffen. Homeowner arrivedhalf way through my visit. Inrush Amp draw on compressor exceeds LRA, compressor sounds grinding, superheat and subcool levels are not up to manufacturers data specifications. I offered to charge the system correctly and install an IAQ product. Homeowner claims he will call Daffen ac company to fix the issues I found. Declined all work.

This house has just had a remodel done. The filter was caked. The system return is caked and the system is dirty. I recommend a level 2 duct cleaning. Today I did install a new rm1 iaq200 light system and put them on the home and budget plan.

This is a 4ton heat pump system. It has a bad blower motor x13. Rather then try and make repairs she would like to tall about system replacement tomorrow 9 to 12am.

Upon arrival, techs were shown the condenser. Customer had changed his filter a month before. He didnt not have one for us to change we checked for deltas. Techs checked the condenseder sub cool and superheat. Super heat was normal, subcool was fine. Inrush on compressor was at 25. The second condenser subcool was at 1 and the super heat 19. Once the condenser was cleaned it the sub cool was at 5 and superheat went to 15. The uv bulb was out and Customer had a replacement. Tech suggested a compressor saver

Upon arrival techs were shown to the air handler and condenser. Techs started with the air handler. Tech got his deltas, checked the drain, as well as the coils and heat strips. Once finished with the readings, the techs moved to the condenser where sub cool was at 5 and sup heat was at 9. Dual run cap was intolerance. In rush amps on compressor was 90. Techs washed and waxed. Once finished , Techs talked to homeowner about compressor saver and membership.

5t 2021 trane HP. Arrived to a system down. Diagnosis discovered a failed 70mfd compressor capacitor. Replaced and the system is functional. Homeowner purchased capacitor, membership and a 5t compressor saver. I did not have a 5t compressor saver on my van, so I need to come back out Tuesday 7/23/24 to install component and I offered to wash the outdoor unit at the time. Purchase reflect $-49 service fee due to purchase of repairs. A total of $583.83. Homeowner has a generator that needs servicing. I recommend Mark D as he is very knowledgeable on generators. Will obtain part from office on Tuesday so please book as my first call for 7/23/24

Upon arrival compressor was running and Fan motor was not, found Dual run cap had failed. Replaced cap and system ran as should. Left system in cool mode

Removed leaking coil, installed new coil. Ran pressure test and pulled vacuum, recharged system to 8 degree subcool. System is in cool mode and running as should

2023 Amana airhandler Checked and tightened all electrical connections Changed Customer provided filter Drain has some build up in trap, Recommended treatment and vinegar for drain Blower motor and wheel were acceptable Evaporator coil was acceptable Uv system was functional, almost time for cell replacement or upgrade 2023 Amana heatpump Checked and tightened all electrical connections Dual run capacitor was within manufacture range Primary electrical unit was acceptable Refrigerant levels were acceptable at this time Fan blades and motor were acceptable Condenser coil was acceptable Washed Condenser coil from inside out Cleared debris out of unit Waxed top of unit Recommended uv system upgrade and pan treatment

Tech Cody arrived to customer's home and met the homeowner. Indoor unit was leaking water, I diagnosed a clogged drain line. While looking atbthe indoor unit I also found the evaporator coil and blower wheel to be dirty and in need of cleaning. When I tested the blower wheel capacitor I found that it was weakened and in need or replacement. I shared my findings with the homeowner and explained how the capacitor being weak was caused by the blower being dirty and how it could potentially take out thr motor. She wanted to conduct all the necessary repairs today. Once I cleaned the coil and blower, cleared the clogged drain line and replaced the capacitor I turned the system back on and it started cooling again. PLEASE CHANGE THE ADDRESS FOR THIS CUSTOMER! We asked for an estimate on electrical work that we wanted done on an outside patio being completed. It was not a cut-and-dried job, so Tyler & Nathaniel worked together to come up with a solution they believed would get the job done. Though we thought the solution was far too expensive for what we had allocated, theirs was not a bad response. I had to thank them for their time and efforts spent here.

But now is my chance to say I had the best technician from Comfort Experts Ive ever had in 25 years Ill been partners with a company. You find it weird I say partners with the company? Mike D diagnosed it was low on freon was low and spent 3 hours working on finding the problem. I felt he really cared about Finding and fixing the issue with the unit they installed. I would give Mike D a 10 on all aspects of has drive to solve and help and work with his company to reduce the cost of the repair. Thanks Mike

Mark has been out before working on my unit after hours. He has been transparent and honest with me even providing me with options that were less expensive but higher risk to choose from.
