For this super tune-up, it was a package unit and we inspected the heating and cooling side of the heat pump. All equipment was measuring within manufacturers specs and running well. Cleaned the inside of and outside of the condenser coil. Left with system cooling.
Showed up on time. Garrett was very thorough and provided details of his work.

But it's going to find inspected both furnaces and condensers, all equipment was measuring with the manufacturer specs and running well.

For this evaluation I showed up to the customer's home and the indoor was running however he said the outdoor has not been running since 10:00 a.m. this morning. Want to watch the condenser and open it up the capacitor wiring at the hermetic and center had melted and detached. This is most likely due to loose Spade connections so I talked to the customer about what I found and went ahead with the minor electrical repair. I put new space connections on the wiring and reattachments to the capacitor, the capacitor was still well within tolerance and when I reconnected everything and turn power back on the system started running as expected.

For this evaluation I showed up to the customer's home and they stated the evaporator coil all the way to the compressor was frozen solid. Customers just closed on the house yesterday June 28th. During the home inspection the inspector noted numerous problems with the HVAC system and another company out on June 11th to "fix"the issues. When I opened up the air handler there were two filters on top of the evaporator coil restricting airflow and causing the freeze and ice buildup. When I took the filters off and gauged up outside I had a 48° saturation temp and holding steady. I had a 32⁰ superheat and a 9⁰ Subcool, indicating a likely restriction in the TXV metering device. Additionally when I tested the capacitor it was rated for 70 MFD and reading 56.8 MFD, so this capacitor is way under the 5% tolerance. With a capacitor being out of tolerance there is a likelihood of it failing in the future, causing the compressor to not operate and pump refrigerant.

This system could benifit from a UV system in each air handler. The system has gotten drity over the years. The system is intolerance as far as capacitor contactors and control broads. tD is 18

Arrived for eval Customer states in the last year the humidity has been a lot higher than usual Ran test and insulation is good, blower is clean, refrigerant levels are good. Customer does have a high sat temp. Gave customer the option to switch the blowers speed to help remove more humidity. Customer wants to wait on rec

For this super tune-up I inspected the air handler and condenser, besides the capacitor on the condenser everything was measuring within manufacturers specs. When I gauged up my saturation temp was four degrees above freezing however my super heat and ubsub cool looked relatively good. I went ahead and leak searched the evaporator coil where I was getting some sporadic hits for refrigerant. I talked to the customer over the phone and explained my findings and the next steps he can take to remedy the issues at hand. He said that he will look over the recommendations as well as the form and get back to us.

Upon arrival I found the return disconnected from the furnace. I reconnect and started mirco mist.. the system up stairs could benifit from a UV system. Other then this the upstairs system is in tolermace. I washed the condensor and checked cap and contactor. Everything looks good. System is ready for cooling.

During inspection discovered that the downed systems motor had gone bad and the fan blades had dropped not allowing the blades to spin freely The second system had a restriction at the TXV and was causing the coil to freeze and refrigerant was also low Let customer know how much repairs would be and that it wouldn't guarantee how long it would work with it also being R22 systems Customer wanted to talk to a CA and set appt for tomorrow at 3-5 Appt for CA 5-3-24 for 3-5 time slot

During inspection verified that system was cooling properly with a 18 degree delta Spoke to customers about recommendations for the system to help protect the system in anyway including a pan strip and the customer wanted to hold off on that purchase for today Left customer's house with system operating properly

After checking her panel it was great all of her connections were tight she has gfcis and afcis her grounding resistance was very low below five I also tested the plugs inside of her home all of which were wired correctly and GFC eyes were in the proper locations

This call I performed a super tune up on the indoor and outdoor unit. All measurements were within manufacturers specs. I repositioned the existing UV light to expose a broader surface area and kill more biological growth I recommended a pan strip and surge protector, customer declined recommendations at this time.
