Tyler Barbee at Hobson Air is not a good salesman. Already upset that they installed a completely new Amana system that only lasted 6.5 years. Took over a week to call me back with a price. Tyler did not discuss any benefits that would come with his quote such as warranty or even a loyalty discount for me bringing them back. I never got the warm fuzzies with Tyler and even asked that I deal with another employee, Don S., who said would be contacting me but they never acknowledged my request and kept Tyler, so I just don't think they were serious about me being another customer.
Very good, I followed him around like a puppy dog and he explained what he was looking for and doing. Great job...10 stars

Tech arrived at a membership service call. Upon inspection there was water in the master bathroom and on the carpet in front of the unit. The drain was checked and clear. The customer mentioned that he cleared it. The drain switch was not functioning properly. It appears to be wired improperly. The customer decided to add a treatment strip today. He will call the company that installed the unit to address the drain switch. The system was functioning upon departure.

Tech arrived at a membership service call. Upon inspection the Delta was high. The refrigerant was within range. The capacitor was out of tolerance and was replaced. There was air leaking at the bottom of the supply plenum. This area was resealed. The zone control board was sending 24v to open and 24v to closed on the same damper at the same time. This downstairs damper was faulty even after sending proper voltage. A new damper and zone control board will be ordered and installed at a later time. Honeywell Zone control board HZ322. Power open Power closed damper operator. Tech was able to get flow to the effect areas and left the system cooling at this time. The flow may be temporary. We will pause for parts

Upon arrival the system was running but not cooling efficiently. The unit had a 13 degree temperature drop, and a clean blower and coil. The drain lines were flowing smoothly and operating as intended. The outside unit was dirty but otherwise in good shape electrically. The unit was missing dust covers. The subcool for the unit was 15 and the superheat was 40 indicating stuck txv that is not metering refrigerant as intended. With the customers permission we are ordering the txv to install Monday or Wednesday next week. Thanks for choosing Comfort Experts and have a great day!

Upon arrival for service system on and cooling. Inspected system. Air leakage on air handlers connection to plenum. Drain line cracked at connection to unit. Repaired drain line. Sealed plenum. Left system on and cooling with proper drain line and no air leakage.

Arrived on site home owner was not present her daughter was there to greet me. The downstairs outdoor hp was not operating upon my arrival checked disconnect and breaker first before anything else. Hooked up gauges 0 psi was the reading both high and low pressure sides. I advised the cx that there was a leak somewhere in the system and recommended leak detection. Cx agreed to leak detection. Leak was found on true suction line to the compressor quoted cx for repair being that she was out of town she did not want to move forward with Repair today. Sent cx estimates via email one for repairs and refrigerant assuming compressor was not broken the other assuming that compressor is no longer operable and in need of replacement plus refrigerant.

Unit compressor not functioning. Thermal saftey tripped. Cleaned unit and cooled down compressor. System started functioning. Fan and compressor amp draw within unit specifications. Capacitor within tolerance. Refrigerant pressure good. Left system on and cooling.

Lennox heat pump with air handler installed in 2017. All electrical connections are tight with no corrosion. Heat strips are in range. Ecm blower motor and capacitor are acceptable. Blower wheel and evap coil are slightly dirty. 45/10 dual run capacitor and contactor are acceptable. Condenser fan motor and compressor are acceptable. Refrigerant and airflow levels are satisfactory. Customer wanted duct cleaning quote and insulation quote. Duct system is made up of two main ducts made from duct board and flex duct branching off. Not recommended to clean duct board. Only about 6 inches of cellulose insulation currently in attic. Gave estimate for insulation.

Lennox heat pump with air handler installed in 2018. Arrived to home and system was not cooling. Determined faulty thermostat. Changed thermostat and checked system in heating and cooling. All electrical connections are tight with no corrosion. Blower motor and capacitor are acceptable. Blower wheel and evap coil are clean. Heat strips in range. 45/10 dual run capacitor and contactor are acceptable. Compressor and condenser fan motor are acceptable.

Tech arrived for a STU. It was sunny. The customer shadowed the tech on the call. Upon Inspection the capacitor was within specs. The contactor was in working condition. The condenser coils were clean. The amperages were within range. The disconnect is a slide type disconnect. These are not recommended. The system did not appear to have Surge Protection. The filter was dirty. There were 2 filters on the system. This can add restriction to the system and one should be removed. The drain was clear and bleach was poured at this time. The drain system had visible restrictions and did not have a float switch. The UV system was functioning. The heating system was functioning. There was growth in the blower and coil area. The customer was given information for recommendations today. He was also give information about upgrading informatiom. The customer has Solar. The system was functioning upon departure.

Went to house for super tune up on two systems. Checked indoor units in heating first. Upon arrival, uv systems on both unit are off. Uv system was not plugged into power, plugged it in, uv systems are running normally. Electrical connections are stable, heat strips are good, blowers are clear of debris, drain lines are clear. Ducts are relatively clean, evaporator coil on both units is clean. Went to outdoor condensor units and checked them in cooling. The defrost board on both the upstairs and downstairs systems is burned in spots, recommended replacement for both. Electrical connections are working, condensor coil is clean, fan amps are normal, compressor amps are fine while running. Compressor amps during start up on downstairs system are high, recommended compressor savor to mitigate extra wear on compressor. Both systems are operational in heating and cooling.

Upon arrival for service on Goodman system it was on and cooling. Customer states bang sound comes from indoor unit when blower turns off. Inspected indoor unit. Filter lifting up and dropping making banging sound. Recommended thinker filter to fit better inside of filter housing. Left system on and cooling. Upon arrival for service system on and not heating. Inspected outdoor unit. Corsense tripped on high pressure. Reset unit and ran system. System building high pressure and getting to 200 degrees before tripping off. Low pressure not consistent. Heavy sudden drop in pressure a minute after system running. TXV in condenser bad. Made sure em heat functioning when leaving and left service disconnect off.
