Casey seemed a little timid and possibly wasn’t as prepared as he could be for the job. I am not sure what they told him but it appears he may be new. My concern would be was he properly trained for this type of call. It was also almost midnight when he got to the house so he may have been tired and it was dark. He did check everything but really wasn’t able to diagnose the issue. He asked for another technician to come out the next day. The next day Jordan B came and diagnosed the problem and ordered our TXV. Now don’t get me wrong Casey is a very courteous and respectful technician but may not have encountered a heat pump with dual thermostats and a bad expansion valve before. That’s why we had low Freon pressure and he believed it was a leak and we had lost all Freon. Next day Jordan checked the system and found it did have Freon just a bad valve. Needless to say our house is still around 90 degrees on the inside awaiting our part. I believe Casey is a good worker and just needs some more experience and this will come over time. Call me if you would like to discuss. Thank you, John Herweg
Casey was great ! He kept me informed re what was going on
Paid $301.00 for a 10 minute procedure to clear condensation drain. As a member for many years and as nothing was removed or replaced this seems excessive.
Derek is always informative and helpful and very nice.
Derek did a great job. He explained everything to us.
Arrived for water leak call Indoor unit needs to be seriously re-leveled Left side of the unit is too low and the right side is too high Left side cannot be lifted because its already touching the underside of the roof Right side cannot be lowered as its already sitting on the 2x4 on the ceiling Due to age of the unit comfort advisor recommended Husband is out of town working and will contact us when ready to schedule comfort advisor Cst intends to siphon water out of the secondary drain pan till system replacement
Upon arrival found system off. Turned on at thermostat and indoor unit came on buy was blowing hot air. I evaluated the outdoor unit and found bad capacitor. Replaced under p&l. Unit came in and began cooling. I proceeded to do the tune up. Indoor unit had a 19 delta. Filter was clean and drain line was clear. Blower was working appropriately. I evaluated outdoor unit and found compressor and condenser fan motor was operating appropriately within data specs. Refigerant levels were within range. All other components were within specs and working properly.
7/22/22 upon arrival found system cooling perfectly. It had a 16 dt and sat temps were great. Replaced a dirty filter and found a small kink in the line set. Not enough to restrict flow terribly so I moved the copper and unkinked it. Pressures were still perfect after that and dt improved to 18. Indoor and outdoor units were both in great shape and line sets were clear
Performed system safety, maintenance and performance check. Found a discrepancy in filter fetch filter (see uploads). Dispatch is looking into it. Found the system to be low on charge, customer wants us to charge system to get them through the summer. Did not have a scale on my truck, picking one up on Friday 07/22/22. Cust is informed. Chargeable refrigerant. Please put this as my first appointment for Friday 07/22/22 Pausing appointment.
Home plumbing drain is clogged on the upflow system, let customer know he has to call a plumber to clear that line, I turned the power to the system off in the closet and told him not to run it until he gets the drain cleared
7/20/22 Upon arrival found system not running at all. This was due to the capacitor being blown. It was puffed up and when I tested microfarads on the capacitor it was 0. I replaced the capacitor with a 45/5 one and the system started up perfectly, saturation temps look good and system was left cooling with a 18 dt
System currently cooling. Customer getting bids and trying to decide to fix the issues or replace complete system. They do not want to upgrade to a heat pump. Quote sent.
STU performed today, outdoor unit refrigerant levels are good at this time and the dual run capacitor is testing within manufacturer specifications. Indoor unit filter is clean and the primary drain line is clear at this time, all ignition components are functioning properly and the inducer motor is pulling proper amperage.
Found system almost falling through cieling, system was hung by cable and cable locks and the support beam spit. Rehung system using existing cable. Was able to get system leveled properly but the system smashed it's secondary drain pan so it is not level and can not be repaired or replaced unless system was hung from the top of the air handler. Due to systems age and r22 phase out would recommend system replacement vs making more repairs
Performed system maintenance, performance and safety check. Rebuilt fan wire to the capacitor on the outside unit. 9 year old unit. Capacitor was good on outdoor unit. Condenser was very dirty - washed. Blower wheel and EVAP coil need a cleaning. Heavy amounts of bacterial growth in the system. Refrigerant levels were acceptable. Fan motor needs replacement.
