On this job I looked at both heating and cooling. During my visit I found a filter 1inch that had been there since the system was put in. This i made him aware of he's also going to order 20x25x4 inch filters. The system TD is 20° with a subcool of 8°. The system operates in tolerance but has a high in rush which effects the house. Blinking lights/ brown out during use of stove and ac turn on. The system could definitely use a soft start to erase these issues and give the system more over all longevity. He currently uses home shield for the house and is not interested in membership.

Customer wanted me to re evaluate compressor, customer stated the noise was typically only made during heating season during the night, system does not have a crankcase heater. This will help compressor lifespan by reducing oil migration, also reducing the loud noise customer is hearing also would like to install soft start kit. Did not find much of an issue with the compressor, will be returning the compressor to part department. The repairs that will be made are slightly less than the cost of the original estimate and we will have to refund the balance.

Came to job for electrical inspection and houses old. But redone in some parts and plugs are very worn out throughout the entire house and customer knows that and has talked about swapping out all the plugs. And is a plan of his and may call us back to do that at some point but. Everything looked great except. They did not have a surge protector and explain to them The importance of a surge protector and explain explain how it's required and how much it could help and also talk about adding smoke detectors in bedrooms because they are missing them but have them in the hallway.

For this heating tune-up I inspected the customers air handler and condenser, heat strips or working well and pull a 20 amps each and heat pump was producing 20° of heat by itself. The customer was a little concerned when her system goes into defrost mode it feels like it's blowing out cold air however I tested the defrost setting by dunking the thermistor and ice water and I had a call between C and W indicating the heat strips were coming on and working.

For this super tune-up I inspected the customer's furnace and condenser, for the most part all equipment was measuring within manufacturer specs and running well. The customer stated she does have allergies in her home, and received a duct cleaning about 3 years ago. A UV Sanitation System would greatly benefit her as it would kill off any circulating biologics in the air contributing to her allergies. Additionally her LRA on the Compressor was 100amps with a max of 79, so a hard start kit or soft start kit is needed to keep this amp draws lower in startup. The customer only has about 6inches of insulation in her attic, so I highly recommend an R-19 upgrade for an additional 7 inches, this will help lower her utility bills and in the long run pay for itself. Insulation is paramount in keeping a good thermal barrier so the HVAC system does not have to run as ofter, in return lowering energy consumption.

No hot water. Tried to light pilot unsuccessfully. Water heater was built in 2/2011. Gave price and explained that we can replace it tonite. Customer wanted to wait for now. He will possibly call back on monday

Arrived onsite customer directed me to the hose bibb in backyard leaking. Went ahead and replaced the hose Bibb in backyard. Tested after replacement everything working properly.

Today I performed a heating tune-up on a 1-year-old gas furnace unit checked everything top to bottom filter needs to be changed but they did not have a replacement today I poured white vinegar down the drain line and insured that it is Flowing freely performed a carbon monoxide test and had zero reading took pictures of the indoor evaporator coil as well as the blower wheel and inside the supply and return plenum everything looks good and clean the homeowner expressed concerns about air quality and allergies so we discussed filtration and indoor air quality systems I left her with some information so that she can go over it with her husband and give us a call back should they decide to go with any of the recommendations thank you for choosing comfort experts!

For this super tune-up I inspected the customers upstairs and downstairs Air handlers and condensers. For the most part all equipment was measuring with the manufacturer's specs and running well. I recommend to the customer adding a hard start kit to both condensers to help lower amp draw on startup which in turn will increase the efficiency and longevity of the compressor. I also recommend a UV sanitation system in both or the system that serves the area of the customers are in the most to improve air quality as well as kill any biologics that come into contact with the light. Because the customer has a pan switch however I highly recommend adding primary float switches as a first line of defense against clogs and potential water damage.
