Upon arrival system was on. Indoor system in working condition. Looking at the outdoor unit , compressor has gone bad. Clients are interested in a new outdoor unit but need time to talk it over with their kids. Need a follow up on 7/31/23.

Upon arrival found system set to 80 and 79 in house, lowered thermostat and system turned on, customer claimed thermostat blanked out, checked drain line and found home plumbing clogged, ran snake and blew drain with nitrogen, drain did clear. Recommend installing condensate pump to eliminate home plumbing from the equation and getting a plumber because customer has multiple sinks backing up.

On arrival the outdoor unit had the fan running but the compressor was not come on. We replaced the capicator and added a compressor saver kit and the compressor started back up and ran. We need to schedule a time to clean the evaporator coil because it is severely impacted. When we left the house was cooling and the outdoor unit was running as intended. Thanks for choosing comfort experts and have a great day!

Drain line clear,. Blower wheel and motor inspected- wheel is extremely dirty. Blower capacitor inspected- below manufacturer tolerance. Evaporator coil inspected- extremely rusted, corroded, and dirty. DeltaT inspected- high due to air slowing down at blocked coil. Outside unit washed. Dual run capacitor inspected. Fan blades and motor inspected- oil spots on motor. Refrigerant lines inspected. R22 refrigerant levels are holding. I've expressed to customer the concerns about the system and the potential failure if the rust and corrosion end up creating a refrigerant leak, the issues with Blower cleanliness and the impact it has on the capacitor. Customer is aware of the systems needs. Declined work.
