I have used AC Genius for several years and I continue to be impressed by the professionalism and efficiency they bring. Mike was the tech who most recently showed up and he was no exception. He immediately diagnosed the issue and went to work. Also, the staff who answers the calls and dispatches the techs is also professional and courteous. AC Genius continues to exceed expectations!
Ryan was on time, professional, friendly, and explained the issue clearly and politely. He replaced the broken part quickly, and was even sweet to my dogs. Company was quick and easy to get a hold of and schedule an appointment within 12 hours. Note: the after hours scheduling person indicated they could come to us as early as 8, but the daytime scheduling person who called to confirm the appointment indicated the earliest they could make it was 10. Not a major issue, just a communication error which they agreed to work on. Would call them again, if needed.

On arrival system running and cooling producing 20 degrees delta. Indoor unit clean and in good condition outside of bacterial growth. Outdoor unit passed all electrical testing but was overamping on start up so I recommended a compressor saver kit. Customer declined as of today.
On this job i looked at the cooling side of the sytem. Im happy to report that all componets in cooling test in tolernace. I do recommend an easy start for the outside system. This will reduce the inrush by 75%. Other then this the condensor is washed filter is clean and ssytem is ready for cooling.

Arrived onsite customer was having some leaking near the tub in the hallway. Inspected issue found crack in tile but also a crack in the tub that needs to be replaced.

For this super tune-up we inspected the customers 1 year old furnace and condenser. All equipment was measuring within manufacturer specs and running well. Customer would like Jerred to come out and give an estimate on replacing her gas water heater that is 20+ years old and corroded on the water lines.
On this job I replaced a faulty drain switch under p and l. System is now back online and cooling.
Maintenance performed today on a Kohler 20kw generator installed in 2019. Air filter, oil filter, spark plugs were all changed. Changed oil with a fully synthetic 5w-30 motor oil. Replaced the battery and put anti corrosion on the terminals. Performed function check. System running normally at time of departure.
Came to job to give estimate and try and beat The other company's price but we cannot talked to her about why and explain it to her and customer fully understand. And also talked about if we did the panel change what we would do And what it would cost Customer also had Broken light bulbs and non protected outdoor plug And talking about all that but Other company gave a better price She also had a plumber and Block going on and their price was just better for the situation
Arrived onsite and performed inspection wrote some recommendations for customers home. Customer has to forward the estimates given to her father as he is the one who owns the house. Will let us know what he decides he wants to do.
During this visit I cleaned and washed condensor also change a filter. I checked both heating and cooling sides of the system. I found everything to be in tolerance besides a couple of supply vents he had closed everything else checks out. I do recommend an easy start to help inrush and promote longevity.
On arrival system cooling producing 18 degrees delta. Drain lines flowed when flushed. Blower dusty due to dust bypassing 1 inch filters. Recommended stronger electrostatic filter to capture far more dust and keep system clean. Supply plenum has large quantity of bacterial growth. Recommended iaq 200 uv system to address this. Outdoor unit passed all electrical testing but compressor still overamping on start up.
Tune up on two 2004 carrier gas furnaces with 2020 carrier ac down stairs and a 2016 carrier ac upstairs checked all componenets and operation of equipment found leak on upstairs coil with digital leak detector system is low on freon dual run capacitor for down stairs system is low changed 45X5 capacitor provided by customer no warranty and both condenser fan motors showing signs of rust from overheating. Recommend replacing evaporator coil or upgrade system. Comfort advisor 3/27/25 in the morning.
On arrival system running and cooling producing 20 degrees delta. Drain lines flowed when flushed. Outdoor units contactor is buzzing and in poor condition. Compressor overamping on start up pulling 150 amps when the manufacturers max allowable starting amp draw is 134. Recommended adding a compressor saver to address this and replacing the contactor before it fails. System cooling as I left.
