Excellent young men. Beyond professional. Provided helpful information.
The technician was very nice but was only interested in selling me a new unit. I’ve worked for hvac companies for 13 years. I’ve worked for a company that had similar training in scare tactics and manipulation to sell units. They offer a low “service call” rate to get in so they can make money off unneeded repairs or installing a new unit. He told me I’d be needing upwards of $3000 in repairs (my units is 11yrs old). Had a smaller company come out and all I needed was to have my condenser washed out. The cottonwood was caked on so thick you couldn’t see through but the technician for this company didn’t even mention washing it out. Unit is working great since I called someone else out and it only cost me $200 (and that was for a maintenance plan so I still have services coming at no extra cost). Was told I needed a new condenser fan motor (among other repairs), but when smaller company came out he informed me my motor was only about 1 year old! They will offer you great warranty if you are wanting to replace your unit, but if you’re looking to simply repair, I do not recommend calling,

Brian was awesome at getting our heat fixed and was very polite and great customer service.
My technician arrived timely and worked quickly to tune up my ac/heating unit.
Install 5 ton electric heat upflow with level 2 high efficiency filtration system, closet platform, slab, disconnect, whip, code kit, return air filter grill. Need to build an open platform and install 4inch filter base.
Performed Stu, system operating at arrival, blower motor making grinding noise when it turns on, found bearings in motor have severe play in them and motor could fail at any time, evaporator coil is rusted and corroded, gas flex is rubbing against furnace casing, heat exchanger is rusted and corroded. System is low on r22. Due to systems age, condition and r22 phase out recommend system replacement.
Did a STU/evaluation on system found it was low on refrigerant, did a leak search found a shrader valve leaking replaced and put in 2 lb of r410a,got superheat good and subcool good, refrigerant levels are good now, customer verified unit was working properly when leaving A
Did a evaluation on system found dual run capacitor was bad replaced and unit is working fine, checked filter, flushed drain, checked drain switch, refrigerant levels are good, customer verified unit was working properly when leaving A
6/20/22 Jared- customer owns Green Pickle restaurant and they were inquiring how to add air to the kitchen and get better flow the dinning room from their existing 5 ton system. During my initial check of the system I found the filter dryer was old and apparently blocked. I found the liquid line warm on the unit side and cold on the other side of the filter. The condensing coil was dirty. The owner said he would call myself or Dennis back in a few days to schedule a time to service the unit. As far as the kitchen goes, he wants to add another system this fall. Because of the design on the old building, I will bring Erasamo or Rob to figure out the best way to accomplish the task when it is time.
5/11/22 Brian H - Going back tomorrow to add refrigerant to office unit. Compressor is functional. Women's dressing room definitely has a compressor.
Today I did a complete and thorough evaluation of the customer system. Customer has two air handler‘s with two heat pumps. When I arrived one of the heat pumps was not running, tested the capacitor it read zero. Customer has parts and labor warranty so I change capacitor. Everything else was good both coils were good not dirty. Other heat pumps capacitor tested fine. Both air handler’s have X 13 blowers. Indoor coils were good clean and no corrosion.
Blower motor leaking oil, blower capacitor, evaporator coil rusty, biological growth, build up on blower wheel. System upgrade do to age condition and refrigerant phase out, system is operating at this time.
Customer call because the main front office unit and the women's changing room unit are not in operation. Found the front main office unit was turned off @ the service disconnect. Turned unit on and tested in ac, system is severely low on Refrigerant and compressor is cycling on/off rapidly. Found back Women's changing room unit has tripped the main breaker. Reset breaker and system immediately tripped the breaker back off indicating a short. Also found the 3 phase Contactor to the compressor was welded shut. After Ohming the compressor windings found that the compressor has an internal short(L1-L2@0.1, L1-L3@0.4, L2-L3@0.4). Customer wants to replace both systems due to the age and condition. Left both systems down.
Duct cleaning, biological growth, system rejuvenation.
