Really cared about fixing the issue and went above and beyond.
Mr Boyd operated under the worst of conditions and stayed late until the job was complete. I couldn’t commend his expertise and professionalism more except than ask to give this young man a hefty raise.
Comfort Experts service is always performed by knowledgeable technicians who are courteous and very good at their work.
8/4/22 Upon arrival found 2 systems cooling and 1 not cooling. The issue with the system not cooling is that the compressor saver was blown, I tested the system with a new one and it ran, but it appears to also be very low on freon. The system's low pressure sensor would trip every time it would run for 30 seconds. Told customer it would be better at this stage to replace the system. It's the smallest out of all of them and the outdoor is a 2.5 ton and it's matched with a 2 ton coil. The freon leak is in the evaporator coil inside and I used my leak detector and found it. Its right before the txv. The other two systems looked fine but their condenser coils were dirty. I cleaned all 3 condenser coils and the remaining 2 systems are working great. I left the bad system's disconnect set to off so it wouldn't constantly short cycle itself and I booked an appointment for a comfort advisor with robert goldate tomorrow between 10-12
Customer has a 21 year old R22 gas system and is looking to replace in the fall. I gave him a quote for a level one.
Found system only had 12 degree delta. System not low on refrigerant, condenser coil clean, compressor drawing low amps, low side sat is high and high side sat is low, compressor is not operating correctly, causing. Poor performance, house also has low attic insulation, recommend system replacement.
Found loose connection on transfer switch module.
System low on charge. Located leak in evap coil. System has no warranty. Recommended indoor replacement. Customer requested Riley for visit.
Tech arrived for a service call CTU. A CTU was performed. Upon inspection, the system was running. The capacitor tested within specs. The contactor was scorched. The refrigerant and delta was at acceptable levels. The drain system was flowing at the time of inspection and multiple gallons of water were poured to verify. It is recommended that bleach be poured down the drain on a regular basis. The UV bulb was not functioning. It was unplugged and reinserted. It then regained functionality. This can be an indication that the bulb is going out. It is suspected that the coils may have froze before arrival. A Compressor Saver was added to the system to possibly help the CoreSense module. The system was functioning upon departure.
replaced 50 gallon hot water heater
Upstairs unit -Goodman- 2012 Downstairs unit -Goodman- 2013 System maintenance, performance and safety check performed on both units. Upstairs condenser is the right, downstairs condenser is the left. Upstairs had a clean coil, good capacitor, no signs of corrosion, rust, or biological growth. Performed a torque on all electrical seatings. Filter that was ordered was incorrect, sat with cust and ordered the proper one. Upstairs unit needs a blower wheel cleaning. Downstairs unit had the same checkup, and also needs to have the blower wheel pulled and cleaned. Outside units were BOTH low on charge, capacitors were within tolerance, BOTH fan motors have high amount of overheating damage. BOTH units have primary electrical control contactor pitting. Estimates sent to cust to talk to her husband about. Cust are considering 2 new units.
