Upon arrival, I identified a non-functional condenser fan motor. The existing motor had failed, disrupting the system's cooling function. I promptly replaced the faulty motor with a reliable 1/8 horsepower, 240-volt, 825 RPM condenser fan motor sourced from my truck stock. Additionally, I installed a new capacitor to ensure optimal performance. After completing the replacement, I conducted a thorough function check to confirm that the system was operating correctly. The cooling system was fully restored, and upon my departure, the system was running efficiently.
Upon arrival, I found the thermostat set at 71 degrees, but the inside temperature was 72 degrees. I conducted a thorough system check, ensuring all components were functioning correctly, including pressure levels and electrical connections. The air filter was cleaned to enhance efficiency. The system was blowing cold air, but the customer mentioned a Bible study with about 12 people the previous day, which naturally raised the temperature. I explained that on days over 100 degrees, it's normal for the system to rise up to three degrees past the set point. I left the system in cool mode, ensuring it would maintain the desired temperature.
I successfully completed a task involving electrical work and lighting installation. First, I carefully cut off the wire that was previously connected to the junction box to ensure a clean and safe disconnection. After that, I provided power to the junction box, ensuring all connections were secure and compliant with safety standards. Next, I tested the functionality of the new setup to confirm everything was working correctly. Following this, I installed a new track light, making sure it was properly mounted and illuminated as intended. Lastly, I collaborated with Cindy to create a list of tasks for future maintenance and improvements around the house.
I began by safely recovering the existing refrigerant from the system. Next, I replaced the condenser coil to ensure optimal performance. I then pulled a vacuum to achieve a pressure of 500 microns, ensuring no moisture or air was present. After that, I added the recovered refrigerant back into the system and topped it off with an additional 40oz of R410A. I conducted a thorough function check to confirm everything was operating correctly. The system was running efficiently and cooling effectively upon my departure.
Upon arrival, I assessed the house's cooling system and found it was not functioning properly. During the evaluation, I discovered that the refrigerant levels were low on the suction side. At the air handler, I measured a static pressure of 1.5 on the return side and 0 on the supply side, indicating a significant restriction in airflow on the return side and almost no air coming through the supply system. The system was also unusually loud. After removing the filter, the noise level decreased significantly, and the static pressure dropped below the manufacturer's recommended 0.5. I adjusted the refrigerant levels to within the proper range. I recommended using a regular filter and suggested removing the filter box and adding an AprilAire filter box for better filtration and improved airflow. However, the customer declined this recommendation and opted to use a regular pleated filter instead.
Cut a tree
Upon arrival, the system was not cooling. After a thorough inspection, it was determined that the root cause was a failed 70/10 dual run capacitor. I replaced the faulty capacitor with a premium dual run capacitor, ensuring compatibility and reliability. Following the replacement, I conducted a comprehensive function check to confirm the system's proper operation. The system is now running efficiently and providing the expected cooling upon my departure.
I used a sewer cable to clear the blockage in the drain, running it several times to ensure the issue was resolved. Additionally, I employed a camera to inspect the pipes and confirm the blockage was fully cleared. The toilet is now flushing properly, but I advised the customer not to flush any toilet paper until the pipes are replaced. The customer plans to replace the pipes themselves in the future. This action provided a temporary solution to the problem, but a permanent fix will require pipe replacement.

Brian and Mark requested assistance with installing lights under their carport, and Hunter and I were tasked with the job. We began by assessing the area to determine the best placement for the lights. After mapping out the layout, we installed the necessary wiring and fixtures. Each light was carefully positioned to ensure optimal coverage and aesthetics. Once the installation was complete, we conducted a thorough test to confirm that all lights were functioning correctly. The project was successfully finished, providing the carport with the desired illumination.
Upon arrival, I first addressed the issue of the water being shut off in the well house. The handle had been turned incorrectly, resulting in a slow drip. I then proceeded to inspect the trench near the greenhouse for any leaks. During this inspection, I discovered that the water hose bib line had a break at the top of the tee fitting. To resolve this, I carefully cut out the damaged tee fitting and replaced it with a PEX fitting. As per the customer's request, I did not reinstall the hose bib since Dave had specifically asked not to. After ensuring the line was properly sealed, I pressurized the system and confirmed there were no visible leaks. The water level has now been restored to the back pin.
Upon arrival, the customer reported hearing a persistent clicking noise throughout the night. A thorough hearing evaluation revealed that the air filter was being sucked into the return grill, causing the popping noise. To address this, I recommended the customer try using a 2-inch filter, which is thicker and less likely to get sucked in. If this did not resolve the issue, I suggested applying weather stripping on the inside of the filter grill to reduce the sound. Additionally, the customer expressed concern about the ductwork. I inspected the ductwork and found no issues, and confirmed that the previous repairs were still intact. The system is currently running efficiently, providing both heating and cooling as required.
I provided a detailed estimate for installing a dedicated plug specifically designed for a garage fridge. During the visit, I replaced the existing garage fixture with a keyless version as requested by the customer. This involved careful disconnection of the old fixture and precise installation of the new one, ensuring safety and functionality. The process was completed efficiently, and the customer was satisfied with the seamless transition.
Upon inspection, it was determined that the system was not cooling effectively. The supply plenum was found to be detaching from the air handler, allowing hot attic air to infiltrate the system. This issue was contributing to the overall cooling problem. Further examination of the outdoor unit revealed that the compressor was experiencing low compression, indicated by high suction pressure and low liquid pressure. Additionally, the compressor was operating with low running amps, which is another sign of compressor failure. Given the age and efficiency of the equipment, it was concluded that a complete system replacement is necessary to restore proper cooling functionality.
Upon inspection, the system was not engaging in second-stage cooling. I rewired the thermostat, confirming proper functionality in both high and low stages. Additionally, I cleaned the outdoor unit to enhance efficiency. Post-repair, the system was operational and effectively cooling the area. The customer was satisfied with the restored performance upon my departure.
The customer reported warmth in two newly enclosed rooms. After using a thermal camera, I identified low attic insulation and a small return in the primary bedroom. I recommended enlarging the return and adding attic insulation. This will improve airflow and temperature regulation, ensuring a more comfortable living environment. The solution will enhance energy efficiency and overall home comfort.
Upon arrival, I assessed the system and identified that it had frozen up. The root cause was a dirty filter and a heavily soiled evaporator coil, which significantly restricted airflow and led to the system freezing. The customer did not have a replacement filter on hand. I thoroughly cleaned the evaporator coil, which greatly improved the airflow. After ensuring the system was functioning correctly, I left the site with the system running normally, alleviating the customer's concerns and restoring optimal performance.

I installed four 4-foot lights on the back porch of the shop, ensuring they were securely mounted and properly aligned. I ran electrical conduit to a new switch box, completing the wiring and connecting it to the existing electrical system. The remaining two lights are ready for installation, with all necessary materials and tools prepared for the final step.
I assessed the customer's outdated SanuVox UV sensor, which was disconnected and not in use. After confirming that the UV system was functioning properly without it, I removed the sensor from the wall. I explained to the customer that the sensor was obsolete and not connected to anything. They agreed to discard it. The system was left in a stable and cool condition.
.
I completed a comprehensive home improvement project, focusing on enhancing the kitchen's functionality and aesthetics. This included installing new cabinetry, updating countertops, and replacing outdated lighting fixtures. Additionally, I addressed minor plumbing issues and ensured all work met safety standards. The customer appreciated the attention to detail and the seamless execution of the project.
I successfully completed the task of replacing the filter door for the Aprilaire 2200 system. I began by carefully removing the old filter door, ensuring no damage was done to the surrounding components. I then installed the new filter door, making sure it was securely attached and properly aligned. The new door was tested for functionality, ensuring it operates smoothly and efficiently. The job was completed to the client's satisfaction, enhancing the system's performance and air quality.
Upon arrival, I was informed by dispatch to pause the job temporarily. The customer reported that one upstairs bedroom felt warmer than the others. Upon investigation, I discovered that the filter for the upstairs unit was significantly dirty, causing a major airflow restriction. I conducted a static pressure test on both the upstairs and downstairs units, confirming that both were within specification. I recommended replacing the filters in both units to ensure optimal performance. I also provided the customer with information about the Comfort Care Club. During my visit, both systems successfully cooled their respective areas by 3 degrees.
Upon arrival, the customer reported that the system couldn't maintain the setpoint of 77° on the thermostat, reaching up to 79° in the middle of the day. After evaluation, I found no issues with the compressor, refrigerant levels, or other components. However, the ductwork was strapped in the attic, surrounded by 360° of heat, causing efficiency problems. I discussed redesigning the ductwork and obtaining pricing for a system replacement due to its age. The customer agreed to a Comfort Advisor visit, which was scheduled for today. The system was left in the cooling mode.
