Mark was understanding about my situation and had the soft start system installed at no cost. Nate installed it and it appeared to work perfectly. He will return to finish it out. Hopefully the soft start system remedies the compressor issues with my Amana A/C Heat Pump system.

Frustrated, your team was out 3 weeks ago … and Friday our system was not Cooling …we needed over 2 pounds of coolant when three weeks earlier —- the coolant level was fine. Also, how did we get a blocked drain pipe in that same time frame and that it wasn’t found with the tune up?
Alec came, troubleshot and serviced our outside unit on a Sunday.

I had a conversation with Mrs. Yorek to discuss the warranty status of her current system and the options available for repairing or replacing it. She mentioned that she is currently occupied and unable to meet with a comfort advisor tomorrow. Mrs. Yorek assured me that she would review her schedule and contact the office to arrange a new appointment. I patiently explained the process and provided her with all necessary information to facilitate the scheduling of her meeting. I ensured that she understood the options available to her and the steps required to move forward with the replacement of her system.
Upon arrival, the system was unable to maintain the desired temperature of 70 degrees. The customer reported ongoing issues with the system's performance. Upon inspection, I discovered a blockage in the primary drain, which was causing the drain switch to trip. I cleared the blockage and conducted a function check to ensure the system was operating correctly. Further examination revealed that the compressor was excessively noisy and exhibited low differential pressure between the low and high side pressures. Additionally, the compressor's amperage draw was low while running, indicating internal failure. I informed the customer that the compressor needs to be replaced. A Comfort Advisor is scheduled to meet with the customer on Thursday morning to discuss the next steps.
Today, I successfully installed a new compressor and a thermostatic expansion valve (TXV). Due to adverse weather conditions and fluctuating temperatures, I charged the unit to the best of my ability. Recognizing the need for precise calibration, I contacted the office to schedule a follow-up visit. This will ensure that the charge is accurate and the system operates efficiently. My focus remains on delivering high-quality service and ensuring customer satisfaction.
We addressed the issue with the fill valve in the toilet, which was experiencing frequent malfunctions due to the hard water conditions in the home. Given the absence of a water softener, the fill valve was subjected to accelerated wear and tear. We replaced the existing fill valve with a new one designed to better handle hard water, ensuring improved performance and longevity. This proactive measure was taken to prevent future disruptions and maintain the efficiency of the toilet system. We also assessed the overall condition of the toilet and provided recommendations for additional maintenance to mitigate the effects of hard water.
The customer requested an estimate for replacing two 3-ton heat pumps. The bedroom unit's compressor was tripping the breaker. I conducted a function check, revealing the unit would run briefly before stopping. Using a megohm meter, I tested the windings and found all three damaged, causing the compressor to overheat. The customer opted to replace both systems. I provided a detailed assessment and estimate for the replacement.
I conducted a comprehensive system tune-up on three units, ensuring all electrical connections were secure and functioning properly. The air handler coils and blower motors were inspected and found to be in acceptable condition. However, slight biological growth was detected on the evaporator condensate pans. I also checked and tightened all electrical connections on the heat pumps, ensuring the dual run capacitors were within the acceptable range. Refrigerant levels were verified to be within the proper range. All primary electrical units were found to be acceptable. I cleared debris from the bottom of the units and thoroughly cleaned the coils from the inside out. Additionally, I recommended installing drain safety on the primary drain line and using UV systems to combat biological growth, along with compressor savers for added protection.

No answer at the door. Pausing for now Performed Tune upon system Found Airhandler to be extremely compacted with dust and dirt due to the homeowner tearing down walls and flooring in the house. Customer also wanted to know if we could lift unit or move unit to replace flooring under Airhandler, gave customer a price and they declined. AIRHANDLER DOES NOT HAVE ENOUGH RETURN AIR AIRHANDLER HAS THE WRONG FILTER IN FILTER BOX AND HAD THE FILTER DOOR OFF LETTING UNFILTERED AIR BYPASS THE FILTER. COMPRESSOR IS NOT RUNNING EFFICIENTLY AND DOES NOT SOUND GREAT. DUE TO THE COIL BEING HEAVILY COMPACTED AND ALMOST NO RETURN AIR THE REFRIGERANT LEVELS ARE SHOWING LOW AND LINESET IS FREEZING. COMPRESSOR MAY FAIL SOON RECOMMENDED NOT RUNNING THE SYSTEM TILL THE AIRHANDLER IS CLEANED AND ALL WORK IS DONE ON THE HOUSE Payment was being processed by the time tech left and said it failed so will be pausing for now.
