Upon arrival Customer stated the system would not heat. During evaluation found that low voltage fuse was blown. Found high pressure wire in Condenser touching copper line. Repaired issue and ran system in heat.
Customer had concerns about air temperature coming out of vents when system is in heat mode customer also stated tstat is set to 70 and and system reaches 70 and never drops below. Ran system check and found no issues, system is running properly. Educated customer on how heatpumps operate.
During inspection I found that the system had loose electrical connections, burnt electrical components. Defrost control board was making constant zapping sound, cst doesn't want to change part at this time. System is on and operating
2013 5t gas closet upflow. Expired manufacturers warranty. Filter is replaced regularly. Drain clear. Heating components inspected. Refrigerant components inspected. Blower motor 15mfd capacitor is below manufacturers tolerance. Compressor inrush amps exceed manufacturers LRA specifications. Husband was not home e and wife did not want to make any decisions without him. Emailed estimates for Blower capacitor and Compressor saved. Declined work at this time.
Arrived to no cool. Found that the previous technician had left the breakers to the air handler in the off position. Recall on previous technician.
Upon arrival tech was shown to the condenser ascwell as the air handler tech started at the condenser. The condenser was covered with leafs tech had removed the lefts and cleaned the condenser. Once finished cleaning tech got all his readings and headed to the airhandler. Once tech got all his pictures and readings tech talked to home owner about a duct cleaning due to the build up on the grills
Tech Cody arrived to customer's home and met the homeowners. System is a 5yo Goodman heat pump. I started at the indoor unit. The evaporator coil was clean, the blower was clean, UV light is installed and operated correctly, I changed out the filter, drain line is clear and has a float switch, heat strips functioning properly, return and supply boxes are clean. I moved to the outdoor unit and washed and waxed the unit. The compressor and fan motor were operating within manufacturer range, the auxiliary motor starter was within tolerance and the primary electrical control was in good condition. I checked the refrigerant charge and found the levels to be acceptable at this time, and the system had surge protection. I shared my findings with the homeowner and the system was cooling when I left.
Installed a new customer supplied light and switch
Amana heat pump with air handler installed in 2008. All electrical connections are tight with no corrosion. PSC blower motor and capacitor are acceptable. Blower wheel and evaporator coil are slightly dirty and should be cleaned soon. Heat strips are pulling proper amperage. Refrigerant levels are in range. Compressor and condenser fan motor are acceptable. Outdoor unit was washed and waxed. Customer asked about a generator interlock switch. Gave estimate for interlock switch and a soft start for the condenser. A soft start would be required if customer wants to run the air conditioner with the generator.
I quoted a new duct system, a compressor saver and a surge protector for a/c unit for $14,000
Upon arrival I found that the moisture sensor was activated, found a clogged primary drain line. Cleared major stoppage and washed drain out with water. Drain was draining properly. Replaced moisture sensor under warranty System is back in and operating efficiently
Upon arrival tech was shown to the thermostats and airhandler. Tech checked the air handler and found that the drain was clogged tech has unclogged and put a pan strip in the pan. After clearing the drain tech hooked up his gages and sc and sh looked good.
09/14/24 TS- waterheater in the attic is 3 years old and appears to be put in by us. No issues. T&p line was little hot but no signs of it releasing
Techs Cody and Anthony arrived to customer's home and met the homeowners. System is a 6 year old carrier heat pump. We started the tune up at the air handler. We replaced the filter, the system had a temperature split of 22 degrees and noticed that the return side of the evaporator coil had dust buildup that needed ro be cleaned out. The other side of the evaporator coil was clean and the blower had minimal dust buildup. The drain line was clear and the emergency drain pan had a float switch installed. While in the attic Anthony saw that the water heater did not have a flood stop installed to protect the home from flood damage. We then went outdoors to the heat pump unit. The compressor and fan motor were operating within manufacturer range. The auxiliary motor starter was within tolerance and the primary electrical control was in good condition. We washed and waxed the unit and then took our refrigerant readings, the system was properly charged. We shared our findings with the home
CTU completed, cst indoor system is very clean. EVAP coil is clean and feeding efficiently, blower motor is operating acceptable and fan blades are clean. Outdoor system cleaned and waxed, capacitor in range, electrical connections tight and secure. 22° delta System is clean and operating efficiently
Upon arrival Customer had system off and fan on. Turned tstat to cool and heard compressor kick on from inside. Went outside to Condenser and system Shut off, reset and started it again. Compressor kick on but fan would not. Dual run cap had failed on fan side and was weak on herm. Replaced and washed Condenser coils, stated system up and system started cooling immediately
Sold a level 3 42k heat pump horizontal.
Tech Cody arrived to customer's home and met the homeowner. When I arrived the system was running but not cooling. I hooked up my refrigerant guages and found the system to have a low side pressure of 55psi and a superheat of 80. I conducted a courtesy leak search and found a leak in the evaporator coil. The leak was large enough that I could hear it hissing. I also found a large amount of biological growth inside the air handler. I brought the homeowner up into the attic and showed her the biological growth and showed her where I found the leak with my leak detector. We then went downstairs to discuss the different options available to them. I explained how a system with a leak can cause damage to the compressor and notified her of the upcoming industry changes. She was interested in meeting with a Comfort Advisor when her husband was home from work so I booked a CA appointment for tonight between 6-8.
Super tune performed today. All electrical connections are tight with no corrosion. X-13 blower motor is acceptable. Blower wheel and evaporator coil are clean. Heat strips are in range. Drains are clear. Compressor and condenser fan motor are acceptable. Refrigerant levels are in range. Condenser was washed and waxed to prevent sun damage. UV bulb has expired and the needs to be replaced to continue to improve air quality. A compressor saver is highly recommended to help the compressor upon start up and to help it run more efficiently. Today was the visit for the main system. The tune up for the other system is scheduled for the fall.
System had high pressure cut off code again, Refrigerant levels were high. 20 subcool brought system Refrigerant down 11 subcool. Drain line was also cloggednunder sink. Cleared clog and poured a gallon down with no issues. Call back on install for Refrigerant levels
Heat pump tripped on high pressure cut off. Reset system Checked Refrigerant levels and Refrigerant levels were within range. Checked filter and airflow found no issues. System. Was running and cooling as should. Customer will call again if it stops running
