We were expecting an AC tuneup / check. Tyler didn’t look at the AC system but validated our electrical plugs, etc. If we were supposed to have an electrical checkup, Tyler did a great job. 10-5 is too big of a window. I received a text that Tyler was on his way, but he didn’t show up for another hour.

Tech arrived at a STU. Upon inspection, the capacitor was within specs. The contactor was in working condition. The condenser coils were hosed off to assist with air flow across the coils. There was no observed surge protection. The Delta was within range. The insulation levels were a little low. There was no observed drain safety. The drain was clear. The customer was not present. She was sent estimate recommendations. The system was functioning upon departure.

Upon arrival system was in working condition. Client was not home but just wanted his thermostat replaced. Thermostat was replaced. Outdoor coil is really dirty , offered a coil clean but rejected work. Client paid through phone. Left system in working condition.

Upon arrival system was in working condition. Client stated that before leaving for vacation system was cooling properly. Coming back system was not cooling properly. Looking at the outdoor unit , unit was running on a very low capacitor. Went ahead and replaced it , system is cooling properly. Left system in working condition.

Customer was told they needed to replace coil and replace line set because it was smaller than 3/8 system was on and cooling well upon my arrival and I detected no signs of a leak of refrigerant as a result of my inspection.

Tech arrived at a warranty service call. Upon inspection, the capacitor was out of tolerance and was replaced. The compressor was in thermal. Core sensor was bypassed. A compressor saver was installed today to help the startup amperage. The attic insulation has settled. The tech recommended insulation and sent an email quote. The system was functioning upon departure.

Moved to indoor unit tested all components all measured within ratings and specs. Filter was really dirty customer did not have replacement I advised to change asap. Blower coil and drain are clean and clear at this time. Recommend compressor saver and drain switch.

On arrival the system was running and cooling. The indoor unit had a 14 degree delta, clear drain lines, and a clean blower and coil. The outdoor unit passed all electrical tests and was fairly clean. I recommended resealing and mechanically attracting a few ducts to the supply plenum to stop air leaking, and I recommended repositioning her master bedroom duct to increase airflow to her bedroom. I recommended a compressor saver kit to increase the life of the compressor and promote energy efficiency, and I strongly recommend installing a drain switch to prevent flooding in the attic. I have scheduled a follow up to speak with the customer and schedule rec work for next week. Thank you for choosing comfort experts and have a great day.

Upon arrival for service system off. System is 9 years old. Confirmed second opinion. Customer states previous tech said pressure on system was severely low inspected system and found no refrigerant in system. Recommended speaking with engineer due to age of system and cost of repairs.

2011 4 ton Lennox HP. Utilized the 410 1lb but it did not bring the subcool up, this is after I washed outside coils. Customer is aware of the rust on the evaporator coil, blocked intake side of coil, very dirty blower wheel, heavy biological growth, no flood protection, Blower capacitor is failing. Outdoor unit was washed, dual run cap failing, Vapor line Insulation is poor, subcool is very low, utilized 1lb of 410 per the call type and that didn't bring my subcool up any. Discussed with the customer about the next steps, built estimates showing membership benefits. Customer wants to explore the route of a new system since they have no manufacturer warranty. CA appointment 7/15/23 @8am confirmed.

Upon arrival for tune up system on and cooling. Inspected outdoor unit. Fan and compressor amp draw within unit specifications. Capacitor within tolerance but barely. Refrigerant pressure high. Cleaned unit. Refrigerant pressure returned to normal levels. Inspected indoor unit. Blowers has slight dust buildup. Coil clean. Drain line clear. Recommended replacement of capacitor. Left system on and cooling.

Tech arrived for a tuneup. Upon inspection the capacitor was out of tolerance. The contactor was in working condition. Condenser coils were dirty and were hosed off to assist with air flow across the coils. There was no observed surge protection. The indoor coil and blower area was dirty. The drain system was flowing slowly. The customer was informed of recommendations today. She decided to move forward with adding a drain treatment strip today. Her son is in HVAC and will take care of the capacitor. If she can not get him out in the next month, she will call us back out for the repair. The system was functioning upon departure.

Upon arrival, no cool to the upstairs unit. Customer had installed thermostat by themselves and blew a fuse and also the thermostat was bad. Transformer was bad. Customer declined repairs and is getting a second opinion.
Diego M.
Upon arrival system was working. Customer says they the outdoor unit turns off and the indoor would stay on. Looking at the outside unit , hooked up gauges and head pressure was high. Went ahead and cleaned outdoor unit. Checked the indoor unit blower and coil for air flow restriction but no restriction there. Filters were changed this month. Turned unit back on and head pressure went down. Offered membership but said they would think about. Recommended duct cleaning but they'll also think about. Left system in working condition. Thank you for choosing comfort experts.

Master side of the home had poor airflow. In the attic, I found the duct feeding the master side of the home to be kinked and some of the duckwork coming off the mixing box to be kinked. I rehung the main supply duct to insure there was no kinks. I also rerouted one of the master bedroom ducts to a better position at the air mixing box. The master bedroom, master bathroom, master closet and the laundry room now have better airflow.

Amp draw for fan is high, compressor amp draw is good, capacitor is good. System has leak. Customer did not have time for leak search. Cleaned outside unit and condenser.
