Ian was a true blessing today! Im a New homeowner and only been in my home since April. So it was a huge surprise that i was having issues with my toilet backing up into my tub! Recently I had a great referral from Angies list and decided to do the same to find a plumber. Comfort experts were the first to call and Rebecca was extremely helpful in setting appointment. Within the hour I had a knock on my door and was greeted by Ian and his personable smile! Although I was hesitant to proceed after the quote Ian assured me that he was knowledgeable and his integrity spoke volumes! He treated me like a human being first and customer second which confirmed I made the right choice in moving forward with him completing the repair. Furthermore, Ian kept me informed with exactly what he was doing and completed the job in under an hour. In speaking to him I found out he was a Veteran which further explains why I absolutely love this guy! Ian you ROCK and I really appreciate you!

Today, I addressed an issue with the HVAC system by replacing a worn-out cap and installing a 3 to 5 ton hard start kit, which was necessary to improve the system's performance. Despite these repairs, the homeowner expressed a desire to discuss a complete system replacement to avoid further repairs. We scheduled a meeting for tomorrow at 10 a.m. to explore this option. Additionally, I noted that the house is lacking proper insulation, which could be contributing to the system's inefficiencies and increased energy costs. Improving insulation could further enhance the home's comfort and efficiency.

I successfully installed a new warranty evaporator coil, ensuring all components were correctly positioned and securely fastened. A thorough pressure test was conducted to verify the integrity of the system. I then pulled a vacuum to remove any moisture and non-condensable gases, ensuring optimal performance. The coil was charged with the appropriate refrigerant, and I confirmed that the system was operating within the specified parameters. Additionally, I verified that the coil, which does not have a thermostatic expansion valve (TXV) system, was functioning correctly and efficiently. The system is now ready for normal operation.

Upon arrival, I assessed the system and found it was not operational. The compressor saver had failed, which I promptly replaced to restore functionality. After getting the system running, I noticed a 13° temperature split between the two plenums, indicating an imbalance. Additionally, the TXV was not functioning correctly, which I identified as a critical issue. Although the customer declined immediate repair due to the unit being under warranty, I provided a detailed explanation and pricing for the necessary repairs. The system was cooling upon my departure, but it was not operating at optimal efficiency as intended by the manufacturer. Thank you for choosing our services.

I inspected the electrical panel, outlets, and lighting fixtures. I verified the presence of Ground Fault Circuit Interrupters for safety. I assessed the grounding system of the main panel and identified any doubled neutrals. I provided an estimate for necessary improvements. The home was found to have adequate GFCI protection and functional smoke detectors, ensuring safety and compliance.

Upon arrival, the compressor was unresponsive due to freezing. I diagnosed the issue and added a soft start to facilitate its operation. After several attempts, the compressor successfully restarted and is now functioning correctly. The amperage is within normal limits, and refrigerant pressures have stabilized, ensuring optimal performance.

Upon inspection, I discovered that Alex D's electrostatic filter was compromised on the return side towards the bottom, making it difficult to remove. To address this issue temporarily, I used zip ties to secure the filter, allowing for easier insertion and removal of a new filter. I informed Alex that this is not a permanent solution and advised switching to standard 1-inch filters or obtaining a replacement electrostatic filter. Although I couldn't locate a quote for a new filter assembly, I assured Alex that someone from the office would contact her this week to provide an estimate.

I addressed a master toilet that was not flushing properly and leaking at the tank-to-bowl connection. The previous attempt to fix it had left the bolts loose. I tightened these bolts to seal the leak. Additionally, I identified low water pressure throughout the home, traced it to the pool filler being on, and turned it off to restore normal pressure. The job was completed efficiently, ensuring the toilet functions correctly and water pressure is restored.

I conducted a thorough evaluation and identified that the air handler was leaking water due to insulation obstructing the drain line. I removed the insulation and cleared the drains to prevent future leaks. Additionally, I diagnosed a non-cooling issue caused by a failed hard start kit. After replacing the kit, the air conditioner resumed normal operation. The system is now functioning correctly, ensuring optimal performance. The customer appreciated the service and mentioned a discount from the office.

I arrived to address the issue of non-functional kitchen plugs. Upon inspection, I discovered that the microwave was the root cause. I discussed the situation with the customer and explained my limited knowledge of microwave internals. The customer decided to contact Home Depot for a potential replacement, as the microwave was recently purchased. I unplugged the microwave and tested the breakers, finding one was tripped initially. After resetting, all plugs showed 120 volts, and the stove worked when plugged in. However, the breaker tripped again as soon as the microwave was reconnected. I also tested the microwave on a different circuit, which also caused the breaker to trip immediately. I informed the customer that the microwave was indeed the issue.

On August 10, 2026, I successfully completed a task to replace the motors on the dampers. This involved carefully disassembling the existing motor components, ensuring all connections were properly detached. The new motors were then installed, and all connections were securely reattached. Testing was conducted to confirm the new motors were functioning correctly, ensuring the dampers operate efficiently. The job was completed to the highest standards, maintaining optimal performance.

Upon arrival, we found an existing technician working on the upstairs unit. Water was dripping from the ceiling onto the porch near the secondary drain. After inspection, we identified a blockage in the 1 1/2" PVC drain where the AC unit's condensate line connects. This blockage caused the drain to overflow, leading to a wet floor around the AC closet and water seeping through the ceiling onto the porch. The customer reported this issue had persisted for a month. We attempted to clear the line using a cable and poured six bottles of water through the drain, successfully removing the blockage. Although we resolved the immediate issue, we cannot guarantee future stoppages. We also introduced the customer to our company and the CCC plan, though they were unable to sign up on that day.

Upon arrival, I identified that the system was not operational. The compressor was not running, and the compressor saver had failed. I replaced the compressor saver, but the compressor remained inactive due to thermal overload. To address this, I cooled the compressor by hosing it down, which allowed it to restart. After the system resumed operation, I checked the system pressures and discovered an overcharge of refrigerant. The customer was puzzled about the source of the additional refrigerant, and I was unable to determine it, as no refrigerant was added during my previous visit. The customer chose to have the refrigerant charge adjusted. The system was functioning correctly and cooling effectively upon my departure.

Upon arrival, I assessed a 5-ton gas furnace system that had completely frozen up. After a thorough inspection, I identified that the system was low on refrigerant, indicating a leak. I explained to the customer that this leak was the root cause of the freezing issue. I presented various options to address the problem, including repair and replacement. The customer opted to consult with a comfort advisor for replacement options. I verified the system's warranty status, confirming it was 17 years old and no longer covered. A comfort advisor has been scheduled for today to discuss further steps. Thank you for choosing our services. Have a great day!

I conducted a thorough evaluation of the customer's HVAC system, identifying a significant issue with the evaporated coil due to a catastrophic leak. The system is out of warranty, necessitating immediate attention. We discussed potential custom system upgrades with a comfort advisor, aiming to finalize our plan between three and five today. Pending the customer's ability to secure financing, we will proceed with the necessary repairs.

Our team was tasked with servicing a commercial building where all equipment was positioned at heights of 10 to 15 feet, making direct access challenging. We utilized specialized equipment, including telescopic boom lifts, to safely reach the units. Our technicians meticulously inspected and maintained the equipment, ensuring it was functioning optimally. We addressed any minor issues on-site and scheduled further repairs if necessary. Throughout the process, we adhered to strict safety protocols to protect both our team and the building's occupants. Our goal was to minimize disruption while ensuring the equipment's reliability and efficiency.

The process began with a thorough assessment of the existing system to ensure compatibility with the new components. Each part was meticulously installed, following precise guidelines to maintain efficiency and safety. Throughout the procedure, I ensured that all connections were secure and that the system operated smoothly. The installation was completed on time, and the final inspection confirmed that everything was functioning as intended.

I will draft a detailed proposal outlining these options and email it to him. Following his review, I will follow up to discuss the options further and provide any necessary clarifications. I will also schedule a meeting with Mark W. to finalize pricing and move forward with the chosen solution.

Upon inspection, a previously unnoticed hole in the duct was identified as the root cause of an issue. I promptly repaired the duct, ensuring it was properly sealed and functioning. To maintain cleanliness and hygiene, a thorough deep clean and sanitization is scheduled for this Friday morning. Additionally, I will bring a piece of sheet metal to repair the hole near the outdoor condenser where the line exits the wall. This task has already been coordinated with Joe.

During the comprehensive CTU, I identified a faulty dual run capacitor and low Freon levels in the 410A system. The system was operating at 80 PSI instead of the expected 140 PSI, indicating a 5-pound Freon deficiency. I thoroughly explained the situation and potential solutions to the customer. However, they opted not to proceed with repairs at this time, citing their home warranty coverage. I ensured they understood the implications of the issues and the importance of addressing them in the future.

We performed a comprehensive heat pump super tune-up. We checked refrigerant pressures, adjusted them to meet manufacturer specifications, and replaced the out-of-tolerance capacitor under warranty. The outdoor and indoor units were cleaned, and an 18°F temperature split was verified. We added water to the condensate drain, inspected internal components, and replaced the air filter. Biological growth and a nonfunctional UV bulb were noted, but the customer declined the upgrade. The system was fully functional, and the customer signed up for the Comfort Care Club.

I performed a comprehensive tune-up on the homeowners' systems, which had not been serviced in a while. The bedroom system was found to be 10° below the desired temperature and was low on refrigerant. Similarly, the main living area system had a 14° temperature foot and exhibited a 46° superheat, also being low on refrigerant. I informed the homeowners about the condition of their systems and presented them with custom system upgrade options. They opted not to proceed with the upgrades at this time but expressed interest in our company. I scheduled a visit later in the day to install a thermostat and a condenser fan motor for the main living system. The homeowners requested more quotes and decided to delay the replacement of their systems. They expressed a preference for our company when they are ready to make the switch.

Upon arriving, I conducted a thorough evaluation of the system. I discovered a severely clogged primary drain line, which was impeding proper drainage and potentially causing damage. I carefully cleared the clog, ensuring the drain line was fully functional. To prevent future clogs, I installed a pan strip two tree, a preventative measure that will help maintain the system's efficiency. I also recommended scheduling an annual pan strip to ensure ongoing maintenance. The unit was operating with a 22° Delta, which is within the normal range, and no further issues were detected. Thank you for choosing our services; we appreciate your trust in us. Have a great day!

Upon arrival, I assessed the HVAC system and identified a failed capacitor as the cause of the system's inoperability. I recommended replacing the capacitor and installing a compressor saver to enhance system reliability. After the customer approved the repairs, I replaced the capacitor and installed the compressor saver. The system started and began cooling, but I noticed it was extremely low on refrigerant. I explained that operating the system in this condition could strain the compressor and other components. Due to the system's age and low refrigerant level, I could not guarantee its longevity. The system is currently cooling, but I strongly recommend planning for a replacement soon. I measured a 20°F temperature split between the supply and return plenums upon departure.

Upon arrival, I found the outdoor condenser unit non-operational. The breaker was tripped, but resetting it caused it to trip again. Upon inspection, I discovered a burnt wire connecting the contactor to the capacitor and a faulty capacitor. The customer reported using a mini split, which was connected to the unit's breaker by the installer. I advised disconnecting the mini split and replacing the dual run capacitor. The customer agreed to the replacement and decided to handle the mini split separately. I secured the mini split wires under the breaker. The unit was left cooling upon departure.
