I am happy that the unit is working.
Response from Comfort Experts Inc.:
Thank you Jim!
Ryan explained the issue we were having and double checked what he needed to. He offered options for what we needed to do to make the repair and asked if there was anything else he could do for me at the end of the service call. Excellent service guy
Tech super informed on all systems I had. Really nice guy.
Customer stated she has a leak in her yard and the city said it was on her side . (Sanitary) upon arriving I ran the grindr pump to see if I could identify the problematic area at which point I was unsuccessful. I saw an area that looked to be fairly saturated so I began excavation and I excavated approximately a 4x2 hole , but could not locate the ejection line. It looked as if the more saturated area was beyond the easement which leaves me to believe that this is a city issue. The city is scheduled to come out and if they decide that it is the customer issue I will return and continue excavation to find the leak.
Customer has a 4 ton and 2 ton running is downstairs. He is about to convert the attic to a bedroom and theatre room. The room won’t be complete until late next year. He will need a 2 ton separate unit to cool the 1000 SF space. He plans on calling us back once the contractors frame the walls in the attic. I will stay in touch with him. He is aware that the 14 SEERs will no longer be available next year and the quote will be different when it’s time to do the work.
Did a evaluation on system, checked capacitor, checked filter, flushed drain found drain was clogged cleared drain, recommended a membership, customer stated he plans to sell the house that he doesn't want a membership, refrigerant levels are good, customer verified unit was working properly when leaving A
Completed evaluation. Downstairs unit. 13 year old r-22 system. Unit is low on refrigerant. Did not perform leak search as client is not present at time of eval and did not want to enter home and upset pets. Due to cost of r-22 refrigerant and replacement of evap or condenser coil recommend replacement. Pausing job because cannot collect signature or payment
2019 Air Handler Blower wheel was acceptable Evaporator coil was acceptable Electrical Connections were acceptable Drain was acceptable and draining , had some gunk towards the top reccomend drain pan drip to help get rid of it Changed filter for customer 2021 heat pump Dual Capacitor was within range Refrigerant levels were acceptable Fan amps were acceptable Compressor amps were acceptable Washed the unit from inside out Waxed unit Customer mad a great choice and purchased a drain pan drip to help keep drains clear I installed it
Cleared out primary drain line. The customer has stated that the nest thermostat has lost power from time to time. This is due to the safety switch on the primary drain line getting tripped when the line gets clogged/slow drain.
Replace both water heaters and pan and gas flex for both water heaters and flex line on supply sides and re-gasket and bolt mother-in-law‘s taught
8/19/22 Upon arrival system was cooling. Customer stated that part of his house wasn't getting as much air as it should and his vents weren't blowing super strong. When I went in the attic I noticed that the entire return plenum had come off and it wasn't strapped to pull the plenum towards the air handler. Instead it was strapped and supported the opposite way. I took fabric straps and strapped it up to pull against the air handler. After that I taped to seal any air leaks and put pooky over all of it. I also pookied some supply ducts as well because there was a little bit of air escaping from them. System was left cooling with 20 DT and drain lines are clear
