Thoroughly performed a super and cooling tune up for 2 systems. 1 ton system- air handler 2016, condenser 2010, system is functioning properly. Main-2016 AC, 2008 furnace, Ac functioning properly, furnace- flame sensor burned and the blower motor leaking oil. Spoke with the customer about repairs and duct cleanings. Customer is speaking with her husband and will call back.
Tech arrived for a HTU. Upon inspection, the capacitor was out of tolerance. The compressor was pulling high amperage. The condenser coils were very dirty and were hosed off to assist with air flow across the coils. The equipment indicated that the Superheat was 42 degrees and the Delta was 11 degrees. This can indicate a possible leak. The filter was dirty and was changed. The evaporator coil was a little dirty as well as the blower area. A extensive leak search was conducted for an hour with no obvious leaks located at this time. It is recommended that the capacitor be changed and refrigerant be added and the situation be monitored. The customer wishes to do repairs in a couple days. The office was contacted and the service fee will be waived and payment will be received before confirming the appointment. The recommended estimate is labeled "Refrigerant and capacitor". The system was running upon departure.
