Would like to have him again if future problems arise. He and James Reeves worked great together. Both rated with five 5 stars.

I was consistently impressed with Alex's technical knowledge, his demand for excellence and his creative mind as he worked rapidly to get two new gas furnaces installed in our home before a rapidly approaching severe winter storm. It was rapidly obvious that Alex is well qualified for his job, and that he is determined to provide excellent service. He was able to explain in layman's terms what was being done, and how each step led to the next task.
Our home had two older Geothermal units that had been down for a number of days and despite a number of contractors and technicians attempting to get the units running, there was no success. Then weather forecasters announce a major winter storm for our area beginning this weekend. We were now racing the clock to get heat before the storm to protect ourselves and our home. I contracted with Comfort Experts to replace the old units. They sent out a team of four technicians to complete the job. Joe's job was to run new gas lines thru out home to fuel two new gas furnaces. He worked tirelessly and with urgency to make sure and get his job completed in order to make sure we had one of the new furnaces up and running at the end of the first day, and both units before the winter storm hit. Joe is friendly, professional and hard working and didn't mind explaining what he was doing .
Awesome
Mike took the extra time to resolve the problem, explain options and assure the unit was running properly until preferred thermostat arrives. Thank you hobson/comfort air for keeping us comfortable year round!

Comfort Experts responded in a very timely manner and was able to resolve the issue quickly . The technician was very polite and professional. We are back on the road again and hopefully will not have any more breakdowns.

Comfort Experts is always professional. Mike did a wonderful job and explain everything to be. He let me know what is needed to get better quality from my unit. I would recommend this company for all your heating and cooling. My a/c and heat is going strong for 7 years now.
During the visit, I assessed the current fan motor and recommended a replacement to improve efficiency. The client, however, was more interested in discussing a complete system replacement. We scheduled a follow-up meeting for tomorrow between 10 and 12 am to explore this option in detail, ensuring all aspects of the new system are thoroughly considered.
Upon inspection, the contactor unit was identified as the source of the malfunction. The unit exhibited signs of wear and tear, including burnt contacts and a malfunctioning coil. After confirming the diagnosis, the old contactor unit was carefully removed. A new, high-quality contactor unit was installed, ensuring compatibility and optimal performance. Post-installation testing confirmed that the system was now functioning correctly. The customer is satisfied with the restored functionality, and the unit is now under proper load and line conditions.
Upon arrival, I inspected the breaker panel and identified a faulty breaker that was preventing power from reaching the condenser. The homeowner mentioned that they had their own electrician, but I proceeded with a thorough examination. After confirming the faulty breaker, I explained the issue and the necessary steps to resolve it. I ensured the homeowner understood the situation and provided guidance on how to proceed with their electrician. My goal was to deliver clear and concise information to facilitate a smooth resolution.
I successfully installed a new condenser unit, ensuring it was properly aligned and securely mounted. Following installation, I performed a thorough vacuum pull to remove any air and moisture from the system. After confirming the system was free of contaminants, I charged it with the appropriate refrigerant. The unit was then tested to ensure it was functioning correctly, with all components operating as expected. The new condenser is now fully operational, providing efficient cooling performance.
Upon inspection, it was determined that the control board in the materials unit was malfunctioning. The control board is a critical component responsible for regulating the system's operations. After confirming the issue, I replaced the faulty control board with a new one, ensuring that all connections were properly secured and the unit was functioning as intended. The new control board was installed under the specified pressure and load conditions, as outlined in the technical manual. Following the replacement, I conducted a thorough test to verify that the system was operating correctly and efficiently. The replacement was completed successfully, and the system is now fully operational.
During the recent cooling tune-up, I thoroughly inspected all electrical components, finding them to be in good working order with appropriate amp draws. The Freon levels were slightly low, attributed to a dirty and clogged evaporator coil. Additionally, the blower wheel was found to be clogged with heavy debris. I recommend cleaning both the evaporator coil and blower wheel to restore efficiency. The condenser was also cleaned, and the filter was replaced. The temperature split is now optimal. I am preparing estimates for the homeowner, including one for cleaning the coil and blower motor and another for replacing the evaporator coil before the parts warranty expires on 8/5/26. I look forward to discussing these options further.
During the inspection, I examined the cooling system, which was operating at 29 SEER, indicating it was underperforming. The system was found to be low on refrigerant, which was affecting its efficiency. Additionally, the compressor was experiencing hard starts, suggesting the need for a soft start installation. This would help in reducing wear and improving the overall performance of the system.
Upon arrival, I assessed the condenser and identified a weak dual run capacitor. The customer had already reset the breakers, and the unit was operational. I proceeded to replace the capacitor, which was operating below the recommended 6% efficiency. I informed the customer that if the issue recurs, they should refrain from resetting the unit and instead call for a technician to address the problem while it is actively failing. This proactive approach ensures we can diagnose and resolve the issue effectively, with parts covered under the purchase and labor agreement.
.
During the plumbing tune-up, we assessed the 1985 water heater, which is showing signs of age and should be replaced soon to avoid potential issues. All other plumbing fixtures were inspected and found to be in good working order. Given the water heater's condition, we opted not to perform a flush. Additionally, we examined the new heat and air system installed in March. The outdoor condenser was found to be not level, which could lead to efficiency issues and potential problems in the future. We provided the customer with this information and discussed the importance of addressing the condenser's alignment.
On 6/12/26, I performed a detailed inspection and diagnostic procedure on a toilet that was leaking. The floor was visibly damaged due to prolonged water leakage. I pulled and reset the toilet to run a camera and diagnose the pipe. The customer reported a dripping issue through the ceiling, which I traced to the bathroom above. The toilet tank was improperly installed, causing water to accumulate in a bowl placed next to the toilet. The customer confirmed the toilet was original to the home. I informed the customer about the floor damage and the potential need for additional repairs if the pipe is broken. I paused the job and will return once the restoration is complete.
I arrived with the new compressor to carry out the replacement work. The old compressor was carefully removed and replaced with the new one. I checked for any leaks and found none. A vacuum was pulled to remove any air and moisture from the system. The refrigerant charge was set according to specifications. After testing the system, I confirmed that it was cooling effectively and running smoothly. The job is now complete.
Upon revisiting the site, we identified a significant issue with the condenser, which was emitting an unusually loud noise. A thorough inspection revealed that the compressor was the root cause. We promptly ordered a replacement compressor and communicated the expected timeline for its arrival. We will return once the new part is available to complete the repair.
Upon arrival, I identified that the AC was not cooling due to the compressor being locked out from a high load reduction area (LRA). After discussing the issue with the homeowner, we decided to install a soft start kit on the outdoor system to prevent future lockouts. I meticulously installed the kit and conducted thorough testing to ensure the unit was operating correctly. Additionally, I measured the delta T, checked refrigerant levels, replaced the air filter, and inspected the drain. The system is now cooling effectively. Thank you for the opportunity to assist.
I performed a comprehensive Super Tune-Up on an upflow heat pump system. Starting with the indoor unit, I flushed about 2 gallons of water through the condensate drain line to ensure proper drainage. There was no biological growth detected. The air filter was in good condition, so no replacement was necessary. I verified a 20°F temperature split between the supply and return plenums. All indoor electrical components were inspected and found to be operating normally. Moving to the outdoor unit, I cleaned the condenser coils and checked refrigerant pressures, which were within normal ranges. All outdoor electrical components were also inspected and found to be in good condition. The system was cooling properly and operating as designed upon my departure. The system is fully functional.
We cleared a blocked cable line with a noticeable dip. We identified a problematic sewer area and provided an estimate for tunneling and repair. The repair includes replacing a 6-8 feet long low spot with schedule 40 PVC pipe and fittings, secured with approved hangers. We will dig an access hole, tunnel to the existing sewer from the master bathroom, and backfill after inspection. Additional tunneling or beam chipping will incur extra costs. We will also chip out beams under the home, raise the line, and set two piers for added support.
I thoroughly inspected and serviced the entire electrical system, ensuring all components were functioning optimally. The amperage draws were within acceptable limits, and the freon levels were balanced, maintaining the system's efficiency. The temperature split was ideal, and the condensate drains were clear and unobstructed. The condenser was meticulously cleaned, and the filter was replaced to ensure optimal airflow. All gas safety mechanisms were verified to be operational, and the equipment was confirmed to be working properly. The system is now running efficiently and safely.
I engaged in a comprehensive consultation with the customer regarding the treatment of their pan drain. We discussed various maintenance strategies, potential issues, and the importance of regular inspections. I provided detailed information on the most effective cleaning agents and methods to ensure optimal performance and longevity of the drain. Additionally, I outlined a preventive maintenance schedule to avoid future complications. The customer was appreciative of the insights and felt more confident in managing their pan drain system.
Upon arrival, I assessed the ground rod and identified a significant resistance issue, measuring 175 ohms. This high resistance indicated a potential fault in the grounding system. I proceeded to drive the ground rod deeper into the earth to ensure a more stable and reliable connection. After re-driving the rod, I re-measured the resistance, which dropped to 8 ohms. This reduction confirmed that the grounding fault had been successfully corrected. The improved grounding will enhance the safety and efficiency of the electrical system, ensuring it meets all necessary standards and regulations.
I conducted a comprehensive inspection and maintenance of the electrical components, ensuring all systems were functioning optimally. The amperage draws were verified to be within acceptable limits, and the freon levels were confirmed to be adequate for efficient cooling. The temperature split was measured and found to be within the ideal range, ensuring balanced performance. Drains were thoroughly cleaned and checked for any blockages, ensuring clear and unobstructed flow. The condenser was cleaned to remove any debris, enhancing its efficiency. Additionally, the air filter was replaced to maintain optimal air quality. All gas safety mechanisms were inspected and confirmed to be operational, ensuring a safe environment.
