During the visit, I assessed the bathroom and provided a detailed quote for its renovation. This included adding new electrical outlets, rewiring existing lights, and reinstalling a bathroom fan, which I also supplied. Additionally, I ran a new switch leg in the bedroom to accommodate a fan, which I installed. I presented the customer with two distinct options and corresponding quotes. Furthermore, I discussed the possibility of upgrading the doorbell chime and making it flush with the wall, explaining the benefits and potential drawbacks of this enhancement.
During the evaluation, I identified several critical issues with the unit. The door capacitor was found to be out of tolerance, which could lead to further complications. Both the fan motor and compressor were over amping, indicating they are at risk of failing at any moment. Additionally, the supply plenum had lost its seal, resulting in air leakage. I recommended either refurbishing the unit to prevent potential future failures or considering a full system replacement. The homeowner expressed interest in a full replacement but only if a major failure occurs. They did not commit to an estimate at this time but agreed to contact us if they decide to proceed. I also suggested a membership for benefits and discounts, which they declined. Thank you for choosing our services.
The customer requested our services for an upcoming repair. She will be away for several days but will contact us upon her return and once she has obtained the necessary part. During my visit, I assessed the issue and provided a detailed report. I ensured all preliminary steps were completed, and I left clear instructions for the final installation once the part arrives. The customer was informed about the process and what to expect when she returns.
A customer contacted us about inadequate airflow to the bedrooms. During the inspection, I discovered that the register boots were not sealed, and the duct connections were not properly sealed to the main plenum or branch connections. I explained that sealing these areas would minimize air leakage and enhance airflow by retaining more conditioned air within the duct system. Additionally, I suggested partially closing vents in unused rooms, particularly at night, to redirect airflow to the bedrooms and other preferred areas. The customer was advised to keep vents slightly open to maintain system balance. The system is now cooling effectively and operating normally, with no other issues detected. Thank you for choosing our services.
During the evaluation, I identified potential issues with the compressor, which seemed to be the root cause of the cooling system's failure. It appeared that improper installation was the primary problem, as the compressor was unable to turn on and cool the home effectively. I advised the homeowner on the necessity of a professional installation to ensure the system functions correctly. Additionally, I recommended returning the current unit, as it might not be suitable for proper installation. The homeowner is currently unable to take any action, and professional assistance is required to resolve the issue.
Upon inspection, the system exhibited a noticeable leak in the evaporator coil, which was identified with the customer's assistance. Additionally, the condenser coil also showed signs of leakage. The subcooling was measured at 3 degrees, while the superheat exceeded 40 degrees, indicating significant inefficiencies. Given these findings, the customer opted to discuss the possibility of a complete system replacement rather than making repairs. We scheduled a detailed consultation for today between 5 and 8 pm to explore this option further.
I thoroughly inspected the outdoor system and identified all issues affecting its performance. I began by replacing faulty components and recalibrating the system to ensure optimal functionality. After completing the repairs, I conducted a comprehensive test to verify that every aspect of the system was working correctly. The system now maintains a precise 20° temperature split, and I cleared all drains to prevent future blockages. I am confident that the system is now running efficiently and will provide the homeowners with the comfort they deserve. Thank you for choosing our expertise.
Sold level 4 36k gas
Today, I identified a significant loss of 410a refrigerant in the system. After assessing the situation, the customer opted to discuss a complete system replacement rather than proceed with repairs. We scheduled a consultation for today between 3 and 5 PM to explore the replacement options in detail, ensuring the system operates efficiently and effectively.
Upon evaluation, the outdoor unit was not activating, resulting in the system blowing only warm air. The primary electrical control was found to have failed. I recommended upgrading the contactor to a surge protection contactor and installing a soft start kit for efficient startups and reduced wear. The homeowner approved only the contactor replacement. After installation, I tested the unit, and the system is now cooling effectively.
On 7/16/26, I identified a mechanical lock-up in the compressor. The homeowner opted to replace it under the lifetime Amana warranty. I assessed the issue, confirmed the need for a new compressor, and initiated the replacement process. I am currently on hold until the new compressor arrives, ensuring the job is paused until the necessary parts are available.
I performed a comprehensive Super Tune-Up on the gas furnace and air conditioning system. I began with the outdoor condensing unit, cleaning the condenser coils and checking refrigerant pressures. After stabilizing the gauges, I found the system was one pound low on refrigerant. I discussed this with the customer and added the necessary refrigerant. I then inspected the indoor system, improving the temperature split from 15°F to 18°F. I also noticed dust buildup in the return plenum and condensation residue in the drain pan. I recommended an air cleaner and a condensate drain safety switch, though the customer declined these. I tested the drain and replaced the air filter, ensuring all components operate properly. The system is now cooling effectively.
I successfully installed a new warranty control board unit, ensuring it was properly configured and integrated with the existing system. The process began with a thorough inspection of the current setup to identify any compatibility issues. After confirming the unit's specifications matched the system requirements, I carefully removed the old control board and replaced it with the new one. I then calibrated the settings to optimize performance and conducted a series of tests to verify functionality. The new control board is now fully operational, enhancing the system's efficiency and reliability. All connections were secured, and the unit is stable, providing seamless control as intended.
Upon inspection, I identified that the dual run capacitor was faulty. I replaced it with a new dual run capacitor. I informed the customer about the comfort care plan and the lifetime warranty option for the capacitor. The customer opted for the regular capacitor without the warranty. I processed the payment for the regular capacitor using a credit card. The system is now functioning correctly.
I visited the residence and found the homeowner's son present. He reported issues with the HVAC system, which was not providing adequate heating. After a thorough inspection, I identified a malfunctioning thermostat and replaced it with a new one. I also cleaned the air filters and checked the ductwork for any obstructions. The system is now functioning correctly, and the son was pleased with the service.
Upon arrival, I identified that the compressor was malfunctioning due to a faulty capacitor. After replacing the capacitor, the compressor started but exhibited abnormal behavior, drawing over 40 amps while its rated capacity is only 19 amps. This excessive current draw indicated internal damage to the compressor. Despite running for only five minutes, the internal overload protection shut it down. The freon in the system was burnt, confirming the compressor's failure. I informed the customer about the situation and scheduled a call with a CA for tomorrow at noon. If they choose to proceed with us for equipment replacement, I assured them that we would provide window units until the new equipment is installed.
Upon inspection, the condenser control board was found to be faulty. To ensure the cooling unit remained operational, I bypassed the control board. Currently, the cooling unit is functioning properly. A replacement condenser control board will be required. The customer opted for a pay-and-leave service, settling the bill with a credit card. This resolution ensures the system's immediate functionality while awaiting the replacement part.
Upon inspection, both systems were found to be using R-22 refrigerant. The first system exhibited a subcooling of 2.5 degrees, while the second system had a subcooling of 4.5 degrees. Despite the differing subcooling levels, both systems were experiencing significant issues. The primary system was freezing up, leading to water damage on the ceiling. Given the homeowner's current financial constraints, we advised on the necessary repairs but agreed to revisit the situation when she is ready. We ensured she understood the urgency of addressing these issues to prevent further damage.
I conducted a Super Tune-Up on a heat pump system. Starting with the outdoor unit, I checked refrigerant pressures, which were out of tolerance. I recommended cleaning the condenser coil but couldn't proceed due to an insufficient hose. I also found the capacitor out of tolerance and advised replacement, though the customer declined. At the indoor unit, I replaced one air filter and checked the drain line and electrical components. The evaporator coil and blower wheel were heavily soiled, impacting airflow. I provided estimates for cleaning services and noted a 10°F temperature split, below the expected range.
I successfully installed a new warranty coil set charge unit, ensuring it was fully operational and met all safety standards. The installation was completed efficiently, and I conducted a thorough inspection to confirm everything was functioning correctly. Additionally, I enrolled the customer in our new Comfort Care Plan, explaining the benefits and coverage details. I also processed the payment using a credit card, providing the customer with a receipt and all necessary documentation. Throughout the process, I maintained clear communication and ensured the customer was satisfied with the service provided.
Upon inspection, the dual run capacitor was identified as faulty. Additionally, a leak was detected at the evaporator coil. The unit is covered under both parts and labor warranty. An order for a new evaporator coil with a TXV has been placed, with all necessary information documented in the materials section. A payment of 550 was collected for the freon replacement, processed via check. The system is now functioning correctly, and the customer is satisfied with the resolution.
During the inspection, I identified a severely burnt jumper common wire connected to the capacitor and a malfunctioning capacitor. These issues are critical for the system's proper operation. To resolve this, the jumper wire needs replacement, and the capacitor must be replaced as well. Additionally, installing a soft start component is recommended to prevent future occurrences. The homeowner plans to schedule the repairs once she has the necessary funds.
Upon arrival, I conducted an evaluation of the mini split system, which was found to be functioning properly. However, I noticed that the filters and outdoor unit required cleaning. I thoroughly cleaned both components to ensure optimal performance. Additionally, I drained the water heater, which had not been maintained for over a year. I took the opportunity to discuss the importance of regular maintenance with the customer, who then opted to sign up for our Comfort Care Club Membership. The system was fully operational by the end of the appointment. Thank you for choosing our services.
We replaced the existing toilet with a customer-supplied American Standard model and upgraded the shut-off valve to a 1/4 turn type. Upon removal, the flange was found to be damaged and was replaced at an additional cost. The new toilet was installed, filled with water, and flushed four times, then left to sit for 30 minutes to check for leaks. The customer opted for the Comfort Care Club and provided their card ending in 0596 for the monthly plan.
Upon arrival, I found two units were not functioning. The upstairs unit had a faulty capacitor, which I replaced under the parts and labor warranty. The downstairs unit was experiencing frequent on-off cycling due to a clog that caused water to back up into the drain switch. After the customer approved, I unclogged the drain line. Both units were left running in cooling mode for optimal performance. I also recommended duct cleaning for both units due to high dust levels and cleaning the outside condenser coil to maintain efficiency. These preventive measures will help avoid future issues. Thank you for choosing our services. Have a great night!
