Joe came out to check our mini split in our master bedroom. Intermittently would make a loud racket. He spent 20 minutes trying to replicate but couldn't. He listened to the recording I had made so he could hear what exactly it was doing. He let me know exactly what he was going to do and how the process was for the parts and what would happen when the came in. He was our installer of the unit last year so he knew what he was doing. Also, very courteous and cleaned up after himself. No payment required at this time.

Called on a Sunday due to heater not working. Scheduling was easy, notification on technician was great, provided text when the technician was on the way. Mark was awsome, checked everything. Unfortunate for me the problem was the ducting was torn up by feral cats. Mark scheduled one of their engineers to come out to do an apprasal and quote. Very satisfied with service and information. I wouldn't hesitate to use their services again when the need arises.

Jan 8. 2026. Outstanding plumbing service - Truly Above & Beyond. I cannot say enough good things about the plumbing inspection I received from Jarred. From start to finish, this was hands-down the most thorough and professional service I've ever had. He took the time to address every single issue I had - no rushing, no short cuts and explained everything clearly so I actually understood what was going on with my home's plumbing system. He didn't just point out issues; he provided remedies and solutions for potential problems before they become costly emergencies. What really impressed me was the amount of time he spent with me. He went far beyond what was expected, carefully expecting each room and walking me through his findings. He was personable, respectful, and extremely knowledgeable - the perfect balance of professionalism and easy to talk to. At the end of the inspection, he provided a detailed room-by-room report with transparent pricing, which made planning repairs incredibly easy. There was absolutley no pressure, just honest advice and genuine care about the condition of my home. If you want a plumber who is meticulous, trustworthy, patient, and truly invested in doing a good job - Jerred from Comfort Experts is your guy! He provided the kind of service that restores your faith in home professionals. I recommend him without hesitation. Karen C. Fort Worth TX

Alonso was out last week for my annual inspection. He was very professional and cordial. He found that one of my air supply tubes and come loose and I was cooling my attic needless to say that was wasting quite a bit of money. I had him order the part and he came out this afternoon and installed it for me. He was again very cordial and professional.

Alex and his helper came early and stayed late to insure our new HVAC system was installed properly and running correctly. Both men were courteous, knowledgeable, and informative. In spite of Murphey's law glitches they worked tirelessly to get our system up and running correctly. I couldn't be happier with their service and strongly recommend this company and these technicians.

Excellent service, once again!
So during the middle of our Texas heat wave on a 105° degree day, our A/C unit stopped working. My first thought was, this is going to be bad. I reached out to Comfort Express to schedule an appointment thinking it wouldn’t be for another day. Within 2 hours Justin arrived, inspected the A/C unit, and had it repaired with a new run capacitor. What a relief to know this level of service still exists! Thank you Comfort Express for resolving my HVAC issues in such a timely manner with such excellent customer service provided by Justin!

I have been using the contractor that put the unit in the home. I found out I have been paying double for my maintenance contract. I am receiving greater benefits and services for the same price that includes a 30% discount on Service Fee/ Repairs & / Accessories. Trust me I was not receiving any type of discount with the other company. I say good riddance and Hello Comfort Experts where have you been the last four years. Today I had Hobson back out because my electric bill has almost doubled since my 21 year old nephew moved in with his computer and gaming systems. They throughly looked at all my key systems to no avail but did not leave without a suggestion. They were great. I had Comfort Experts/Hobson out today for my semi-annual service and in Comfort Experts/Hobson's style they did an outstanding job, took their time and took pictures of all key components. Cody even waxed the exterior of my outdoor unit after making the inside of the same unit shine also. This team is worth every penny (and they aren't that expensive when compared to their competitors). Keep up the great work. I love you guys and gals. Great service all the way around.

I completed a thorough inspection and maintenance of the water heater. During the process, I flushed the tank to remove any sediment buildup, ensuring optimal performance. However, I noticed a distinct rotten egg smell in the hot water, which typically indicates the presence of sulfur compounds. To address this issue, I recommended replacing the water heater's electric anode rod, which helps prevent such odors. Additionally, I contacted an electrician to provide an estimate for running an outlet to the closet, facilitating easier access for future maintenance. Despite the electrician's estimate, the customer chose not to proceed with the additional work.

Upon arrival, the customer reported that the system was not cooling the house to the desired temperature. They mentioned hearing a buzzing noise from the outdoor unit and attempted to manually start the fan, but the system still did not cool effectively. During the evaluation, I identified that the dual run capacitor was weak on both the compressor and fan sides. I explained the issue to the customer and discussed the benefits of a soft start kit for future protection. However, the customer preferred to complete the repair immediately. I replaced the faulty capacitors, and the system was restored to a cooling state. The customer left satisfied with the immediate repair.

Recently, I completed a job involving the installation and maintenance of a central air conditioning system. The client was experiencing issues with their existing unit, which was affecting comfort levels. After a thorough inspection, I identified the problem areas and replaced faulty components. Additionally, I performed a comprehensive cleaning of the system to ensure optimal performance. The client was impressed with the efficiency and effectiveness of the new installation. They appreciated the detailed explanation of the work performed and the steps taken to resolve the issues. I provided a detailed quote for the services rendered, and the client mentioned they would compare it with other prices before making a final decision.

Upon arrival, the customer reported that the system was behaving as it had during previous visits, running and shutting off the outdoor unit whenever a technician arrived. The outdoor unit was running even at the time of this visit, having started 15 minutes prior. After a hearing evaluation, I checked the wiring of the condenser fan motor, the PCB board, and the contactor. I discovered a spider lodged between the contactor contacts. I manually cycled the contactor by removing 24 volts every 20 seconds, eventually getting the contactor to pull in but not pass power due to the obstruction. I recommended replacing the contactor. The customer opted to replace it, and I left it as a recall. Unfortunately, I couldn't properly include the recall item in the invoice, so I removed it. I left the system running in cool mode.

I successfully installed an 8k heat pump with an upflow configuration, ensuring it was set up to maintain the current filtration system. The installation included a comprehensive code kit to meet all necessary regulatory standards. I meticulously configured the system to optimize performance and energy efficiency. The heat pump was carefully positioned, and all necessary ductwork and electrical connections were made. Post-installation, I conducted thorough testing to confirm that the system operated smoothly and effectively. The job was completed with attention to detail and adherence to safety protocols.

Recently, I completed a comprehensive service on an upflow furnace system, classified as Level 3. The furnace in question has a heating capacity of 48,000 British Thermal Units per hour. During the service, I meticulously inspected and cleaned the heat exchanger, checked and adjusted the burners, and ensured the flue and venting systems were operating efficiently. I also calibrated the thermostat and inspected the electrical connections for safety and reliability. This thorough maintenance ensures optimal performance and longevity of the furnace.

Upon arrival, the customer reported that the system was not maintaining proper cooling. A hearing evaluation revealed extremely low refrigerant levels. The evaporator coil and line set to the compressor were found to be frozen. Despite performing a leak search on the evaporator coil, no leak was detected due to ice buildup. As the system is a straight cool, I discussed the replacement of the coil with the customer and suggested upgrading to a heat pump to enhance efficiency and reduce energy bills during winter. The customer agreed and requested a Comfort Advisor visit, which was scheduled for the same day. Data tags were sent to the parts group, and I am currently awaiting information on coil replacement availability.

On August 8, I found that the board was receiving 24-volt power but failing to close the contactor. To ensure the customer's comfort until the issue was resolved, I temporarily wired the unit to run. I coordinated with Mark D to revisit the site on August 10 to double-check the work. On August 10, I bypassed the unit temporarily to maintain cooling while we awaited the OEM primary circuit board for the Ameristar outdoor unit, Model# M4HP4048A1000AB, Serial# 175040422. The job remains incomplete as we are still waiting for the estimated time of arrival for the replacement parts.

On August 8, I addressed an issue reported by Brian H. regarding a recent power outage and a generator that did not respond promptly. After inspecting the electrical panel, I confirmed proper connection torque and tested the generator, which started normally and switched the transfer switch as designed. The home and HVAC system operated correctly on generator power. I identified GFCI breakers stacked closely together, which could cause nuisance tripping due to heat. I recommended spacing them with standard breakers to prevent future issues. My assessment suggests that an imbalance in the power phase during the return of utility power caused some GFCI breakers to trip, necessitating their reset after a power cycle.

During the plumbing tune-up, I thoroughly inspected the 4-year-old home's plumbing system. There were no visible issues, and the water heaters were flushed with minimal sediment, indicating good maintenance. The customer reported a slow master shower drain, which I addressed by running the shower for several minutes. Despite the customer's concerns, I could not replicate the backup issue. To address water quality concerns, I discussed options ranging from descalers to backwashing carbon filters, considering the city water's low pressure and sediment. I also reviewed the existing booster pump to ensure it was functioning correctly.

Upon inspection, the water heater, a single element model installed in 2013, showed significant sediment buildup, indicating it needs replacement. Both hose bibs were non-functional, preventing a proper pressure check. Additionally, the master bath toilet exhibited a noticeable crack but was not leaking. The customer mentioned they would need to consult with their spouse before making any decisions regarding the repairs. I provided detailed information on the necessary replacements and repairs, ensuring the customer is well-informed about the current conditions and next steps.

On July 27, I successfully installed a thermostatic expansion valve (TXV) for a customer. This was done in preparation for the arrival of the refrigerant, which the customer agreed to purchase and pay for at a cost of $500. Upon arrival, the customer reported ongoing leakage from the mini split. I removed the plastic covers to inspect the drain pan, finding it slightly unlevel, causing water to overflow and drip onto the wall. The issue stemmed from the pan's tilt away from the drain line. The customer plans to raise the tiny home to correct the pan's level, which will require recalling a previous technician's work.

Upon arrival, the customer reported that the indoor system was functioning correctly, but the heat pump was not operational. During the evaluation, I identified an L6 code indicating an open start circuit. Upon further inspection, the dual run capacitor was found to be significantly weak, preventing the system from running properly. I replaced the dual run capacitor, ensuring the system was operational in the cool mode before leaving. The heat pump is now functioning as intended.

Today, I began by assessing the customer's needs, focusing on their plumbing issue. After a thorough inspection, I identified the root cause of the problem. I then proceeded to repair the faulty pipe, ensuring all connections were secure and leak-free. Throughout the process, I maintained clear communication with the customer, explaining each step and its importance. Midway through the job, the customer needed some time to discuss the work with a family member. I paused the job to allow them this time, ensuring they were comfortable with the proposed solution. Once they were ready, I resumed the task, completing the repair efficiently and effectively.

Upon arrival, the customer informed me that her husband had attempted to replace the capacitor, but the system still wasn't functioning. During the evaluation, I noticed that the condenser fan motor was operational, but the compressor was not engaging. After a thorough inspection, I determined that the compressor had failed due to grounded windings. Interestingly, the breaker in the main panel did not trip, which led me to suggest that there might be a failed breaker. I discussed industry changes and price fluctuations with the customer, and we agreed on a time slot for a Comfort Advisor to visit. I left the breaker for the condenser off as a precaution, in case the customer decides to proceed with the repair instead of a replacement.

Upon arrival, the customer informed me that a family member in the HVAC industry had examined the system and identified burned connections on the thermostat plug. I first inspected the thermostat plug and Ford, finding no evidence of burned connections. I then proceeded to replace the board and plug. After the replacement, I reprogrammed the Ford to ensure compatibility and optimal performance. The system was tested and left in a cooling mode, ensuring the customer's satisfaction with the restored functionality. The job was completed efficiently, and the system was operating correctly.

During the service, I thoroughly inspected the 2020 Rheem Airhandler, ensuring all electrical connections were secure and tightened. The customer had recently changed the filter, and the drain was clear and functioning. However, the blower motor and wheel were heavily compacted, and the evaporator coil had significant dust, dirt, and biological growth. The fresh air vent was found to be open continuously, allowing unfiltered air into the system due to the filter placement before the fresh air damper. For the 2020 Rheem Straight Cool, I checked and tightened all electrical connections, verified the dual run cap and refrigerant levels, and ensured the fan blades and motor were in good condition. The condenser coils were heavily compacted, so I cleared debris and washed the coils from the inside out, then waxed the top of the unit. I recommended level 2 duct cleaning, a UV system for biological growth, and adjusting the fresh air damper.

I arrived to inspect the electrical system after a lightning strike damaged the AC unit. The customer wanted assurance that no other electrical components were affected. I removed the panel cover and found no signs of damage. The surge protector installed in the panel likely safeguarded the customer's electronics. The grounding and all electrical components were up to code and up to date, as the house was built only three years ago. I confirmed that there was no damage to the wiring or any other electrical components in the attic. Overall, the electrical system was in excellent condition with no issues detected from the lightning strike.
