Was called pu for a IAQ evaluation. Introduction and call expectations met. Homeowner gave a tour of the issue at hand. Homeowner noticed biological growth coming out of supply vents. Homeowner has a maintenance plan with daffen but is not satisfied with their care and expressed does not want them back out. My diagnosis- Homeowner came into the attic with me and I took that time to educate Homeowner on all of my activities. Indoor unit of the main system is 2018 and has heavy amounts of biological growth inside the cabin; evaporator coil, blower hub, blower wires and door insulation. The blower wheel itself has a layer of buildup. To be thorough, I pulled up the diverstech saftye float switch to see what the primary drain condition was and found a blocked line with a ring of sediment on the float swith itself. As I put it back in place, the alert red light lit up. I took this time to clear the drain line throughly as the low voltage power was not passing through to the thermostat.
2017 (I think) 3 head minisplit hp. No manufacturers warranty. System functioning upon arrival at a reduced performance. Last tech put refrigerant in and it only lasted a few weeks. I have video and photo evidence of a leak inside condenser unit on the vapor line. I educated homeowner on the cost of repair vs replacement. CA appointment set for 8/13/24 @5pm to discuss replacement.
