Tech Cody arrived to customer's home and met the homeowner. When I arrived the unit was cooling, the customer wanted an estimate for replacing the condenser casing after a tree branch fell on it. While I was inspecting the unit, the compressor went into thermal overload. I cooled it off and the system turned back, I did testing to find what caused the compressor to go into thermal overload but was unable to find a definitive cause. I did notice that the system has a TXV but no hard start kit installed which could be a contributing factor. System operated with no issue for 40 minutes after turning back on and was cooling the home. Estimate for replacing the condenser fan casing: $1000

There are quite a few things that need to be done on the house one of my recommendations was moving the panel outside for a panel change due to the location the age and the overall condition of the panel but beyond that the weather head and the meter base are tilted off of the wall the ground rod over by the outside unit isn't even attached to wires they did have a few outlets that had an open ground and they were having trouble with two fan lights upstairs but one wasn't showing the problem and the other one we could not get to turn on because the remote
Customer is interested in replacing the system under the USDA grant. Comfort advisor scheduled to speak with the customer tomorrow between 3-5pm. Straight cool condenser with air handler installed in 2005. System is low on R-22 refrigerant. Evaporator coil is dirty. Blower wheel is dirty. No drain protection installed. No emergency drain pan installed. Compressor and condenser fan motor are acceptable. Suggest replacing system due to age and reliability of current equipment.

Cust has 14yr water heater leaking around the bottom Lots of corrosion and rust Showed cust and cust wants to wait to replace at this time
During initial start up of the system could hear water near the heat exchanger that had built up after releasing the negative pressure built up in the drain line water started pouring down the drain line and system stayed running the whole time and cycled on and off properly Let customer know what could have caused the problem and it should be fine from here on Left customers house with system operating properly
Upon arrival system was having a hard time staying on. Heard water in flue drain. Opened and cleared all drain tubes, washed drain box till no more debris came out.
System operational. Condensate line had a heavy droop which was backing up water, adjusted appropriately. Pressure switch tubing to inducer was heavily kinked, fixed. Monitored system, pushing 118 degrees. System shutoff sheet reached set point in tstat and cache back on with a call.
