After contacting several other plumbers who wouldn’t be able to get me taken care of until the weekend, I got a recommendation to try Comfort Experts. Within a couple hours they had Daniel H on the way. I received a message when he was on the way and when to expect him, with a picture to know who was coming. He arrived promptly and was friendly. Got to work on my water leak and had it taken care of quickly. He was very respectful and even talked with my son about what he was doing and explained things to him as he went. My kiddo was super excited to be included in seeing what happened and how it was fixed. Awesome service, great plumber. Will absolutely recommend and will use again if more issues arise in the future.

Upon inspection, the primary drain was found to be clogged. I attempted to unclog the drain, which originates from the attic and leads to a junction with multiple PVC pipes. To avoid any unnecessary damage, I refrained from cutting any pipes that were not confirmed to be the primary drain. I identified the need for professional assistance and scheduled a plumber for the same day. The office was contacted and confirmed the appointment. The task is currently on hold until the plumber arrives.
I conducted a comprehensive tune-up on the 2025 Amana gas furnace and straight cool condenser. All electrical connections were checked and tightened. The filter was noted for replacement, though the customer lacked one at the time. Drains were clear and functioning properly, and the blower motor and wheel were in good condition. The evaporator coil and dual run cap were acceptable, and the primary electrical unit was operational. Refrigerant levels were satisfactory. I cleared debris from the unit's base and cleaned the condenser coils from the inside out, finishing with a wax application on the top.
Upon arrival, I conducted a thorough evaluation of the cooling system. It was determined that the low voltage wires to the outdoor unit were loose, and the 24-volt wire was disconnected. I reconnected the wires and used gauges to assess the system's performance. The head pressure was found to be excessively high, and the condenser coil was heavily compacted with dust and dirt. I meticulously cleaned the condenser coils from the inside out, ensuring optimal airflow and efficiency. Additionally, I addressed the low voltage issues to ensure proper system operation. The system was left running in cool mode, providing satisfactory performance.
During the meeting, I facilitated communication between the husband and the Comfort Experts Inc. team. The husband was present alone, and I ensured he understood the details of the service. He will discuss these with his wife and provide feedback later tonight. I explained the proposed solutions and addressed any questions he had, ensuring he felt informed and confident about the next steps. This interaction aimed to gather his input and preferences for a tailored service plan.
Upon receiving a call, I inspected the air handler and found minimal water in the pan. The dirty filter likely caused the coil to freeze and thaw temporarily. I ensured the drains were clear and confirmed that all three drain protection switches were operational. The geothermal compressor, located in the basement, and the evaporator coil with the blower in the attic were both functioning correctly. With the Comfort Care Club agreement in place for all three buildings, I verified that the system was running and cooling efficiently before leaving the site.
Upon arrival, I identified that the PCB board was missing and only two smaller boards were present, not including the main one. Additionally, the provided wire was incorrect. I sourced the necessary Mini Split High Voltage Wire from the previous rewire. After removing the non-communicating wire from the head, I installed a new wire from the head to the Heatpump. Upon running the system, I confirmed that the board did not require replacement. I then swapped the wire from the remaining head to prevent future issues. After running the system again, I verified that all three heads were functioning correctly, with no issues detected at this time.
I was called to inspect the master bath toilet, where the flush handle was sticking, preventing the flapper from sealing properly. Upon examination, I found that the existing flush handle was not replaced during the initial repair. I provided an estimate for replacing the flush handle but the customer declined. Consequently, no warranty applies to the toilet or its existing parts.
I successfully installed a new condensate pump to efficiently manage water drainage. The old drain line was properly capped to prevent any leaks. After installation, I ensured the system was operational by running it in the cooling mode. This allowed me to verify that the new pump was functioning correctly and that the system was free of any issues.
I contacted the customer's daughter to discuss the panel change, ensuring she understood the process involved in updating the panel to meet current codes and replacing it with a newer model that offers more space. I thoroughly explained the benefits and steps of the upgrade, addressing any questions she had. She appreciated the detailed explanation and will reach out when they are ready to proceed or if they decide to move forward with our services.
Upon completing my tasks, I noticed a flashlight left behind. Ensuring all items were accounted for, I retrieved the flashlight from its location. This item was left unattended, and no signatures were required for its retrieval. The flashlight was securely collected and is now ready for its owner to reclaim. This attention to detail ensures that no personal belongings are overlooked.
During the electrical inspection, I identified a Federal Pacific panel, which I explained to the customer was not covered by their home warranty. I provided detailed information on the risks and benefits of replacing it with a modern panel, including updated code compliance. The customer expressed interest but is currently unable to proceed. I offered a payment plan and will follow up when they are ready to schedule the upgrade.
the compressor is shorted to ground, which is a significant problem affecting the system's performance. The necessary repairs and potential replacements will be discussed with the customer during the scheduled meeting with the Comfort Advisor at approximately 1 PM tomorrow. This meeting will ensure that all concerns are addressed and a suitable solution is proposed.
I conducted a comprehensive plumbing inspection, evaluating the system's condition and identifying potential issues. I provided detailed options for repair or replacement, ensuring the customer understood their choices. Although the customer decided against immediate work, I explained the benefits of addressing the issues promptly. The septic tank was emptied last year, and only one tank was visible. Unfortunately, there was no accessible clean-out, so I was unable to camera the sewer line. I ensured the customer understood the importance of regular maintenance and future inspections.
On September 8, I was contacted by a customer who needed assistance with their home service. Initially, they requested a service for the same day, but due to unforeseen circumstances, they needed to reschedule. The service involved a comprehensive inspection and maintenance of their HVAC system. I thoroughly examined the unit, checked for any potential issues, and ensured that all components were functioning optimally. Additionally, I cleaned the air filters and lubricated the moving parts to enhance efficiency. The customer appreciated the detailed work and requested to reschedule the service for the next day.
Upon arrival, I identified a water leak originating from a damaged pipe located in the yard, just past the gate. I carefully assessed the situation and determined the best course of action. I promptly replaced the faulty section of the pipe, ensuring a secure and leak-free connection. Additionally, I inspected the surrounding area to confirm that no further damage had occurred. The water flow was restored, and I conducted a thorough test to verify that the leak had been successfully resolved. The job was completed efficiently, and the area was left clean and tidy.
I arrived for a duct cleaning estimate and found the system wasn't operational, with window units supplementing the main system. The blower wheel and evaporator coil were heavily soiled, necessitating cleaning. The 45/5 dual run capacitor had failed, preventing the outdoor unit from starting. I recommended a Level 2 duct cleaning, including the evaporator coil, blower wheel, assembly, and all ducts. Despite the need for repairs, the customer declined further work at this time.
Upon arrival, I assessed the customer's concerns about the house overheating. After checking refrigerant levels, I found them to be normal. The Delta T was measured at 20 degrees, indicating efficient operation. I then inspected the primary drain and discovered a minor blockage. Using no tools, I successfully cleared the blockage. The system was tested and found to be running smoothly, effectively cooling the home. I left the customer satisfied with the restored comfort.
I successfully completed the installation of a mini split system by ordering and installing a board for the mini split head, ensuring it was compatible with the FTXS12LVJU model. I meticulously selected and installed the appropriate PCB for the head unit, ensuring it functioned seamlessly with the system. Additionally, I ran shielded wire from the head to the condenser, ensuring all connections were secure and properly insulated to prevent any electrical interference. The installation was completed with precision, ensuring the system operates efficiently and reliably.
I thoroughly inspected and maintained the 2004 Trane Airhandler, ensuring all electrical connections were secure and tight. I replaced the customer-provided filter and confirmed the drain was clear and functioning properly. The blower motor and wheel showed significant dust, dirt, and biological growth accumulation, which I meticulously cleaned. The evaporator coil was heavily compacted with similar debris, requiring careful cleaning. For the 2004 Trane Straight Cool unit, I checked and tightened all electrical connections, confirmed the recently replaced dual run cap was in good condition, and found low refrigerant levels. A leak search identified a leak at the evaporator coil. I cleared debris, washed the condenser coils, and waxed the top of the unit. I recommended a UV 300, Level 2 Duct Cleaning, Micro Air Soft Start, and a Comfort Advisor Visit, along with a potential evaporator coil replacement.
Upon arrival, the customer informed me that they had remodeled the master bedroom and extended it to include a master closet. The closet was previously part of the bedroom and located near the supply register. I assessed the area and confirmed that the bedroom lacked ductwork. After further inspection, I found that the existing ductwork was insufficient to reach the new location. I recommended replacing the ductwork from the supply plenum to the new room. I provided an estimate to the customer, who decided to consider the options before proceeding.

Upon arrival, the system was not cooling. A blown 3 amp low voltage fuse was identified and replaced. The liquid line pressure valve was found to be malfunctioning, causing intermittent operation of the outdoor compressor. To diagnose, the valve was temporarily bypassed. The compressor showed high amperage, and the outdoor unit was heavily soiled. Refrigerant levels appeared restricted. Given the age and condition of the condenser and evaporator coils, installed in 1999, a system replacement is recommended. A comfort advisor will meet with the customer to discuss options.
I was tasked with addressing a water heater issue, which involved swapping the breaker and installing a disconnect switch. The work was initiated following a lead set by Karl. During the inspection, I identified the need for a breaker swap and confirmed the necessity of a disconnect switch for the water heater Karl was replacing. Additionally, I examined a Federal Pacific panel, which appeared to be in decent condition but still warranted replacement due to potential insurance coverage issues. I provided the customer with two different clothes, one for the immediate task and another for future reference regarding the panel replacement.
Upon arrival, I assessed the situation and informed the homeowner about the necessary work. Despite providing detailed information, the homeowner declined to proceed without knowing the prices. They mentioned their handyman would attempt the task again. I emphasized that additional chemicals in the drains could complicate future work. I also explained the service/travel fee for any future visits. The tenant signed the required documents, but no work was completed.
I performed a thorough inspection and maintenance on a 2021 Amana Gas Furnace and a 2021 Amana Straight Cool unit. For the gas furnace, I checked and tightened all electrical connections, ensured the drain was clear and functioning, and confirmed the blower motor and wheel were in good condition. The evaporator coil was also found to be acceptable. For the Straight Cool unit, I inspected and tightened all electrical connections, noted that the dual run cap was close to the manufacturer's low tolerance, and recommended its replacement. The primary electrical unit, refrigerant levels, fan blades, motor, and condenser coils were all acceptable. I also cleared debris and washed the condenser coils from the inside out, and suggested a compressor saver to reduce inrush amp draw to the compressor.
