Company was quick and easy to get a hold of and schedule an appointment within 12 hours. Note: the after hours scheduling person indicated they could come to us as early as 8, but the daytime scheduling person who called to confirm the appointment indicated the earliest they could make it was 10. Not a major issue, just a communication error which they agreed to work on. Would call them again, if needed.
I arrived to address issues with the doorbell, light fixture, and kitchen light. After inspection, I replaced a light bulb for the kitchen and the doorbell. The doorbell chime was functioning, but required a battery swap, which I completed using a battery provided by the customer. The doorbell and light fixture are now operational, and the customer is very pleased. She still needs a new remote and battery for the fan, but I assured her that if she encounters any issues, she can contact us for further assistance.
Upon inspection, I identified a significant blockage in the main drain, which had triggered the system's safety shut-off mechanism. The clog was severe enough to disrupt the normal flow, necessitating immediate attention. I carefully assessed the situation, ensuring all safety protocols were followed. To address the issue, I employed specialized tools to dislodge the obstruction. After successfully clearing the clog, I conducted a thorough inspection to confirm the system was functioning correctly. The homeowner intends to utilize their home warranty to cover the costs associated with this repair.
Upon arrival, I assessed the system and discovered that it was frozen, with the condenser operational but the blower motor inactive. After conducting thorough tests, I identified the blower motor as the root cause of the issue. To ensure safety and prevent further damage, I promptly turned off the system. I then proceeded to gather detailed pricing and information on a suitable replacement motor. I will provide the homeowner with a comprehensive repair quote, including the cost of the new motor and the labor involved in the replacement process.
I responded to a call regarding a transformer issue that had caused a power outage. Upon arrival, I assessed the situation and confirmed that power had been restored, but some appliances were not functioning. The garage door opener and oven were non-operational, while the stove was working fine. The AC unit had power and was communicating with other systems, but it wouldn't turn on despite good voltage from the panel. I thoroughly checked all connections and components, but the root cause remained unclear. The customer requested an HVAC technician to further investigate and address the issues with the AC, garage door opener, and oven.
During the service, I performed a comprehensive super tune-up, ensuring the indoor unit was functioning perfectly. I replaced the air filter and meticulously cleaned the outdoor unit, confirming that all electrical components were within tolerance. I also recommended installing surge protection and a start kit for added benefits. Additionally, I discussed the advantages of joining the Comfort Club. The system was cooling efficiently when I departed. Thank you for choosing our services.
During the service call, I conducted a thorough evaluation and identified an active 04 fault code on the circuit board, indicating a locked rotor. Upon further inspection, I found the compressor saver was out of tolerance. I recommended replacing the compressor saver under warranty or upgrading to a soft start for reduced inrush and noise. The homeowner opted for the soft start but needed time for installation. I replaced the compressor saver within the panel warranty and tested the unit, ensuring all components operated within normal parameters.
During the service, I performed a comprehensive system evaluation. The air filter was clean, and the pressure differential was within acceptable limits. The drain was clear, and all furnace components were functioning properly. However, the UV bulb required replacement. The refrigerant level was adequate, but the capacitor was out of tolerance. I recommended a start kit to minimize compressor inrush and prolong its lifespan. The homeowner declined the suggested work, but the system was cooling effectively when I left.
I conducted a comprehensive cooling system tuneup, meticulously inspecting every component. Upon thorough examination, it was discovered that the capacitor had failed. To prevent potential damage to the system, the customer chose to replace it. Post-replacement, the system is fully operational, and the drainage lines have been cleared. The customer's satisfaction is paramount, and I'm grateful for the opportunity to ensure their comfort. Thank you for choosing our services.
I visited the customer's residence to provide quotes for installing electrical plugs for an above-ground pool. The customer is awaiting a pool company's assessment before finalizing her pool choice. I offered quotes for plug installation in various locations and explained the benefits of our membership. The customer opted to wait until the pool company's visit before proceeding. The house, built in 1957, has been extensively renovated, with a modern electrical panel.
During the service, I performed a comprehensive super tune-up. I checked and confirmed that the system's deltas were within optimal ranges, ensured the drain was clear, and inspected all furnace components, finding them in good condition. Electrical connections were tightened for safety and efficiency. The homeowner opted to replace the filter herself using a new one ordered by her. Refrigerant levels were verified to be adequate, and electrical components were within tolerance. The unit was thoroughly washed, and I recommended a soft start to protect and extend the compressor's lifespan. I also discussed the benefits of upgrading to the H&B membership plan, though the homeowner declined the recommendations. The system was cooling effectively when I departed. Thank you for choosing our services.
I meticulously cleaned the evaporator coil, ensuring all debris and contaminants were removed to enhance efficiency. The old freon was safely evacuated and disposed of, and the system was refilled with the appropriate amount of new refrigerant. Additionally, I replaced the dual run capacitor system, ensuring it was set to factory specifications for optimal performance. This comprehensive maintenance not only restored the unit's efficiency but also extended its lifespan. The system now operates smoothly, providing reliable and effective cooling.
During the service, I conducted a thorough evaluation of the unit. The flood switch was found to be active, which was preventing the unit from running. I informed the homeowner about this issue and advised them on the next steps. Additionally, I noted that the filter had not been changed since the last visit. The homeowner has ordered a new filter and plans to replace it herself. I emphasized the importance of changing the filter regularly. I also cleared and tested the drain line to ensure there were no further issues. The wet switch was still active when I left, so I instructed the homeowner to contact us if it does not reset. Thank you for choosing our services.
Upon inspection, all electrical components were found to be in good working order, with appropriate amperage draws and proper refrigerant levels. The temperature split was optimal, and the system's drains were clean and clear. The condenser was also clean, and the filter was in good condition. The heating system was tested and found to be functioning properly. However, the evaporator coil was noticeably dirty, which could affect the system's efficiency. To address this, I scheduled a service for Wednesday to remove and thoroughly clean the coil during the first call. Additionally, I discovered that the dual run capacitor was low on charge. The customer opted to replace both capacitors immediately, and I coordinated with dispatch to schedule the necessary service.
a dual run capacitor and a blower capacitor were out of tolerance, an oxidized flame sensor was detected, and the primary drain line was dirty. I advised the homeowner to replace these components, stressing the urgency due to the capacitors' potential failure at any time. Although they couldn't commit to immediate repairs, they plan to save up for at least replacing the capacitors. Refrigerant levels were within normal limits. Thank you for choosing our services.
I performed a comprehensive super tune-up on the unit. The air filter deltas are within acceptable limits, and the homeowner plans to order and replace the filters themselves. All electrical components were inspected, tightened, and found to be within tolerance. Refrigerant levels were checked and found to be optimal. The unit was thoroughly cleaned to ensure efficient operation. I recommended installing a surge protection device and a start kit to enhance the unit's longevity and performance. The homeowner declined these recommendations for now. The system was cooling effectively when I completed the service.
During the super tune-up, I inspected both heating and cooling components, ensuring they operated within normal parameters. I identified biological growth in the supply plenum and three supply ducts, which showed severe cracks. Thermal imaging revealed air leakage, and the unit was amping at 100, slightly above manufacturer limits. I recommended a soft start device or compressor saver kit to reduce amp draws and extend the compressor's life. The homeowner requested estimates and will discuss options with their spouse.

For this job, I worked on a cooling tune-up on this heat pump system. -Capacitor is out of tolerance and causing outside fan motor to amp high. -Systems compressor is amping high in start up- soft start was recommended – Customers have allergies, I informed that this is due to dust levels in home (in ducts), cleaning the ducts and blower would also help out with a possible air flow restriction that was seen. – Membership conversion was also offered and the benefits were explained. Thank you for choosing Comfort Experts, have a great day!
