If you are a resident of Carrollton, TX, extremely high summer temperatures are nothing new to you. Temperatures can reach as high as 110 degrees when a heat wave comes through, making it a challenge to keep cool. As Texas residents know, it is of utmost importance that you keep your AC unit maintained so that it stays strong during these heat waves and warm during the cooler winter months. By taking advantage of regular heating and AC repair in Carrollton, TX, you can keep your AC unit running smoothly through the summer heat.
However, even with a properly functioning HVAC unit, you can still experience days that are not to your ideal comfort. When you find yourself struggling to beat the heat, try these 3 tips to cool down a few extra degrees:
Having good airflow can bring the real-feel temperatures in your home down just the extra degree or two that you need in order to feel comfortable. By placing buckets of ice in front of your fans, you are creating colder air for the fans to blow around the inside of your home. The ice should last a few hours as it is not in direct heat, and the air from the fan will help to keep it cooler for longer as well. Of course, if you are not running your air conditioning unit or your unit has bogged down as a result of not maintaining proper AC repair in Carrollton, TX, the ice may melt faster and require more.
If you have been outside during the high-temperature months, it usually takes a few minutes for your body to cool back down to a resting temperature. This can be the case even when entering a home that has been cooled with air conditioning. It is a best practice to always keep water on hand for yourself, your pets, and anyone else living in your home. The cold air that your AC unit puts out will inevitably cool you down, but you will cool faster as you rehydrate your body.
The first two tips will give you the added cool you need to reach your ideal comfort level when your home is already cooled with a maintained AC unit in Carrollton, Texas. For residents that have found themselves in the unfortunate circumstance of not having air conditioning due to a lack of AC repair, you need more intense measures to keep cool in the unbearable heat. When you have found yourself in a hot house due to an AC crash, try soaking your feet in cold water. Depending on how brave you are, you can even add ice to the water for a faster cool-down. When our feet are cool, the rest of our body soon follows. If your feet remain hot, the rest of your body remains hot, so a quick cold soak will do wonders for cooling your body temperature quickly.
As always, the number one tip for staying cool during the hot summer months is to make sure that you are having your AC unit properly maintained through AC repair in Carrollton, Texas.
There are numerous benefits to repairing your air conditioner, and they are even more important during the summer months. If you happen to catch any noticeable problems with your air conditioner before the hot summer days have arrived, you’ll have a much more enjoyable summer.
If you’re not sure whether or not you need to fix your AC system, contact us today and ask about AC repair. We’re available 24/7 for emergencies at (817) 341-5149 . We look forward to keeping you cool all summer long!

Upon evaluating the homeowner's concerns about a surge in the home, I began by thoroughly inspecting the HVAC system. The system was operational, providing both heating and cooling as expected. I checked the drainage and found it to be functioning properly. The filter was in good condition, and the pressure differential (Delta) was within acceptable limits. I also verified that the refrigerant levels and the system's cap were in good working order. However, I noticed that the thermostat lacked a C connection, which is essential for proper operation. Additionally, the thermostat displayed a low battery warning. To address this, I replaced the batteries in the thermostat. After the replacement, I ran the system for 30 minutes to ensure everything was functioning correctly and without any further issues. The homeowner can now enjoy a smoothly operating HVAC system. Thank you for choosing Comfort Experts!
One legger
Upon arrival, I conducted a thorough inspection of the unit after reviewing the customer's previous estimate. Upon closer examination, I discovered that the unit was entirely devoid of refrigerant. I promptly informed the customer about this critical issue and outlined the potential solutions available. The customer expressed a desire to consult with a comfort advisor for further guidance, scheduling a discussion for the next day between 6-8. I ensured the customer understood the importance of addressing the refrigerant issue and the steps we could take moving forward. Thank you for choosing our services.
I performed a comprehensive super tune-up on both units. Deltas were within acceptable limits, and filters had been recently changed. Drains were clear, and furnace components were in good condition. I recommended adding germicidal treatment to the upstairs unit for enhanced air quality. The bulb on the downstairs unit was functioning correctly. The downstairs unit was experiencing thermal lockout, which was resolved by washing the unit. Caps were within tolerance. I also suggested start kits for both units and surge protection for added safety. The homeowner enrolled in the Comfort Club and opted not to proceed with additional work today. Both systems were cooling effectively when I departed. Thank you for choosing our services.
Fixed drains
I conducted a thorough diagnostic and confirmed that the system is operational. To enhance performance, I scheduled a return visit for June 2, where I will install a soft start device. The customer has already made the payment. I will pause further work until the soft start is installed and will book it as my first call upon arrival.
During the service, I inspected the plumbing and found it to be in good condition. However, the shut-off valves for one bathroom sink were not functioning properly. The customer does not use this bathroom and has opted not to have the issue addressed at this time. I provided the customer with new comfort club papers and discussed the benefits with her. She mentioned that her husband is no longer present and she is currently managing her finances. She will consider the comfort club offer after sorting out her financial situation.
I performed comprehensive super tune-ups on two furnace systems, meticulously inspecting all mechanical and electrical components for optimal efficiency. Filters were replaced, and outside condensers were cleaned. Both units operated with a 20-degree temperature difference. I provided the customer with various options to enhance system performance, with detailed estimates to follow. Thank you for choosing our services. Have a great day!
During the visit, I assessed the HVAC system and found that the homeowner had not yet connected the gauges due to concerns about the R-22 refrigerant. To avoid any potential risks, I refrained from attaching the gauges. The system was operational, achieving a 20° temperature differential. I also ensured the air filter was clean and the outdoor unit was washed, contributing to optimal system performance and efficiency.
During the recent service, I thoroughly inspected and tuned up the system, ensuring it operates within optimal parameters. The temperature differential (delta) was measured at 19 degrees, indicating efficient performance. I cleaned the condenser coils to enhance heat exchange efficiency. The drain pan showed signs of rust, which I noted for future maintenance. The drain line design was found to be suboptimal, and I identified that the secondary drain is improperly directed into the drain pan. Additionally, the UV bulb was replaced as it was non-functional. The primary drain system requires reconfiguration to ensure proper condensation water drainage. Unfortunately, the customer's daughter was unreachable despite multiple attempts to contact her. The air filter replacement was postponed due to the customer's inability to locate the filter. Thank you for choosing our services. Have a great day.
Rec work- sealed up gaps in ducts and after doing so increased delta to 20 degrees Thank you for choosing Comfort Experts, have a great day
For this job, I worked on a super tune-up on this 3-year-old system. I went through all the mechanical and electrical parts of the system and checked for maximum efficiency. Both heating and cooling sides were inspected. Customer was recommended to replace his filter in the next month. Adding on, I recommended the customer a compressor saver to help lower his start amperage in his unit, after explaining the benefits of this product customer approved and compressor saver was installed. A pan strip was also recommended due to a good amount of field up in his train lines, customer also approved and pan strip was added to unit. Customer was also informed about biological growth in his unit, he mentioned he is selling his home soon so he does not want to invest a lot in his house. Thank you for choosing Comfort experts, have a great day!
Tune up- washed condenser and changed filter Customer does not have AA 210 filter base but was supposedly told by us that she does Other than that, Compressor is overamping x 6 amps which is detrimental and shortens the life of the compressor drastically Soft start kit recommended to prevent a major repair from needing to be done in the future Condensation water treatment strip also recommended to release minerals to kill bio growth in condensate line Thank you for choosing Comfort Experts, have a great day
Tune up Changed filters and washed Condensers Customer had to leave but I was able to confirm that she would like me to come back to reseal a duct with mastic but she had to cut the appointment short UV bulb is out, needs to be replaced, and it was a bit low on refrigerant about a pound low Customer ultimately decided to go with the duct reseal, hopefully that will solve the issue Drain pan in master bedroom needs to be replaced, it is rusted and could potentially create a pinhole leak that could turn into a water maged ceiling I will need to come back on Monday the 27th First Call Please put that on my schedule, thank you Thank you for choosing Comfort Experts, have a great day

I notified the customer that the UV bulb has to be ordered, customer understood and requested the UV bulb to be replaced, and the micro air soft start to be added next Monday in a 12-3 time gap if possible. For this job I performed a supertune up. heating and cooling components were within normal spec limits. I noted that the compressor saver kit on the unit was out of tolerance and the unit was amping over the LRA rating on data tag. I gave the homeowner the option between replacing the conponant, Upgrading to a soft start device, or considering replacement due to age and and refrigerant type of unit. Homeowner asked for ballpark price of a new unit, estimated between 12-28k and reccomended getting a CA scheduled for exact pricing and financing options. Homeowner opted to replace the compressor saver kit and consider system replacement within the next year. Thank you for choosing comfort experts, have a great day!
