Jake replaced our heat pump circuit breaker with the proper one. Yes he had the necessary parts with him! He is very professional and efficient and glad we chose Comfort Experts .
Joe came out to check our mini split in our master bedroom. Intermittently would make a loud racket. He spent 20 minutes trying to replicate but couldn't. He listened to the recording I had made so he could hear what exactly it was doing. He let me know exactly what he was going to do and how the process was for the parts and what would happen when the came in. He was our installer of the unit last year so he knew what he was doing. Also, very courteous and cleaned up after himself. No payment required at this time.
Called on a Sunday due to heater not working. Scheduling was easy, notification on technician was great, provided text when the technician was on the way. Mark was awsome, checked everything. Unfortunate for me the problem was the ducting was torn up by feral cats. Mark scheduled one of their engineers to come out to do an apprasal and quote. Very satisfied with service and information. He found that one of my air supply tubes and come loose and I was cooling my attic needless to say that was wasting quite a bit of money. Today on this visit the 15 year old 4 ton heat heat pump has a burnt out contactor. This is due to high inrush amps. The system was on for 2 min or so we could not get a hood read on freon levels based on sight glass we saw very little refrigerant.

For this call I performed a super tune-up. The unit was amping over lra rating on the data tag and I noted that the top of the supply plenum had insulation that fell off they could possibly cause water damage during cooling in the summer time. I recommend it adding a compressor saver kit to mitigate the over amperage and also resealing the supply plenum on the top portion. For this call I performed this is for tune-up. I recommended resealing all ducts to the supply plenum, adding a UV as a preventative measure for Bio growth, installing either a soft start device for compressor longevity working as a surge protection as well or installing a compressor saver with a unit search protection, and adding a drain switch to the primary drain line to prevent water damage if there were to be a clogged drain. For this job I performed an evaluation. I discovered a failed compressor at the electrical winding causing all the refrigerant to leak out of the unit. I successfully uploaded a video of refrigerant coming straight out of the blown portion of the compressor. $550 deductible for refrigerant was prepaid for, parts department to contact homeowners tomorrow with an ETA for when the compressor will come in and have record scheduled.
