Joe came out to check our mini split in our master bedroom. Intermittently would make a loud racket. He spent 20 minutes trying to replicate but couldn't. He listened to the recording I had made so he could hear what exactly it was doing. He let me know exactly what he was going to do and how the process was for the parts and what would happen when the came in. He was our installer of the unit last year so he knew what he was doing. Also, very courteous and cleaned up after himself. No payment required at this time.

Called on a Sunday due to heater not working. Scheduling was easy, notification on technician was great, provided text when the technician was on the way. Mark was awsome, checked everything. Unfortunate for me the problem was the ducting was torn up by feral cats. Mark scheduled one of their engineers to come out to do an apprasal and quote. Very satisfied with service and information. I wouldn't hesitate to use their services again when the need arises.

Jan 8. 2026. Outstanding plumbing service - Truly Above & Beyond. I cannot say enough good things about the plumbing inspection I received from Jarred. From start to finish, this was hands-down the most thorough and professional service I've ever had. He took the time to address every single issue I had - no rushing, no short cuts and explained everything clearly so I actually understood what was going on with my home's plumbing system. He didn't just point out issues; he provided remedies and solutions for potential problems before they become costly emergencies. What really impressed me was the amount of time he spent with me. He went far beyond what was expected, carefully expecting each room and walking me through his findings. He was personable, respectful, and extremely knowledgeable - the perfect balance of professionalism and easy to talk to. At the end of the inspection, he provided a detailed room-by-room report with transparent pricing, which made planning repairs incredibly easy. There was absolutley no pressure, just honest advice and genuine care about the condition of my home. If you want a plumber who is meticulous, trustworthy, patient, and truly invested in doing a good job - Jerred from Comfort Experts is your guy! He provided the kind of service that restores your faith in home professionals. I recommend him without hesitation. Karen C. Fort Worth TX

Alonso was out last week for my annual inspection. He was very professional and cordial. He found that one of my air supply tubes and come loose and I was cooling my attic needless to say that was wasting quite a bit of money. I had him order the part and he came out this afternoon and installed it for me. He was again very cordial and professional.

How Do You Know If You Need AC Repair?

Knowing the signs of an air conditioning malfunction can help you identify pending problems before they become a huge headache. It’s important to have your unit inspected at the first sign of an issue to prevent bigger, costly repairs down the road.

Your AC May Need Repair If:

  • The airflow isn’t as strong as it used to be. If the AC has weak airflow, make sure your filters are changed and all of your settings are correct. Check the vents to make sure there is no debris blocking the air. Especially if you have pets that shed hair a lot, you’ll find that particles and hair will get trapped and cause the airflow to slow down.
  • The unit is over 10 years old. Your AC unit can last a decade or more when properly cared for, but it only has this kind of longevity when you take care of the routine maintenance and have it serviced annually. There are many tasks that you can perform on your own, but a yearly check-up will ensure that everything is running smoothly.
  • The thermostat temperature doesn’t match the indoor temperature. If the airflow is good but the temperature in your home doesn’t match the reading on the AC thermostat, then you have a problem. There might be an issue with your thermostat, but it could also be an issue with the unit itself.
  • The AC is making unusual noises. If your AC unit seems like it’s working hard or you hear sounds that aren’t normal, you’ll want to have your unit checked out. There are many different factors that can cause this. Sometimes a piece of debris may get trapped in the unit and is easily removed, and other times it can be more severe.

AC Repair Vs. Replacement

In the Texas heat, you have two options when your AC breaks down: repair or replacement. After an expert inspects your unit, they may find that all it needs is a simple fix to get going again. Sometimes, though, the unit is beyond repair or too old to justify a fix. In some cases, replacement is the more cost-effective, long-term solution.

Your AC May Need To Be Replaced If:

  • It’s old or outdated. Exactly how long your AC lasts depends on the brand, how it’s used and how well it’s maintained by a licensed professional. If the AC is more than 8 years old you may opt to replace the unit as opposed to sinking more money into a unit that’s coming close to the end of its life.
  • It needs repair after repair. If you’ve had multiple repairs over the last few years you should consider a replacement. While our Benbrook AC repair experts are always willing to repair your AC, it shouldn’t need a fix every season.
  • It requires outdated parts for repair. Since the beginning of 2020, all manufacturing of R22 Freon has ceased. Using the banned coolant is still permissible but it’s only going to get more expensive as it becomes increasingly scarce. If your AC requires banned or outdated parts, it may be time to replace it.

I performed a comprehensive inspection and maintenance of the HVAC system. I checked all electrical components, ensuring they were functioning correctly and drawing the appropriate amperage. The refrigerant levels were verified to be adequate, and the temperature split between the indoor and outdoor units was within acceptable parameters. Drains were inspected and found to be clear and unobstructed. The condenser was cleaned thoroughly, and the filter was replaced to ensure optimal airflow. Additionally, I verified that the heating elements were working properly, and the overall unit was operating efficiently.

Upon arrival, I identified a leak in the coupling on the main water line for the water heater, located in the roof soffit. The leak was at the junction where the pipe curves to descend the wall. I removed the faulty coupling and replaced it, successfully stopping the leak. To ensure complete resolution, I will schedule a full-day project for next Tuesday to replace the hot side water line leading to the water heater, which will require assistance.

Today, I meticulously assessed the requirements for a new zone control system. I began by thoroughly reviewing the existing setup and discussing the client's needs and preferences. After understanding their requirements, I provided a detailed quote, breaking down the costs and explaining each component of the system. I ensured the client had a clear understanding of the pricing structure. She then presented her invoice for comparison. I reviewed the invoice, cross-referencing it with my quote to ensure accuracy and fairness. The client was satisfied with the pricing, and we proceeded with the next steps for installation.

Upon arrival, I began by thoroughly inspecting the brickwork for any visible signs of moisture or damage. Using specialized equipment, I conducted a detailed analysis to pinpoint the exact location of the leak. After identifying the source, I carefully removed sections of the brick to access the underlying plumbing. Once the leak was located, I repaired the damaged pipes and ensured all connections were secure. I then reassembled the brickwork, ensuring it was structurally sound and aesthetically pleasing. The job was completed efficiently, with all work performed to the highest standards.

I conducted thorough system tuneups for the homeowners, evaluating both upstairs and downstairs systems. I checked refrigerant pressures, inspected all electrical components, and cleaned and replaced the filters. Both systems showed lower refrigerant levels, with coil leaks and significant rust. There was also biological growth present. A Comfort Advisor is scheduled for a detailed review of custom system upgrades. The homeowners purchased refrigerant, which will be reimbursed or applied to a new system if they decide to upgrade. They also signed up for a membership.

I conducted a comprehensive inspection of the HVAC system, including washing the outdoor coil, checking air filters and drain lines. I examined all electrical components, installation, refrigerant levels, and delta T. Although refrigerant levels were slightly off, no leaks were detected. The blower and compressor capacitors were out of tolerance, so I recommended replacing them and installing a soft start kit for efficient startups. I also suggested installing a UV system inside the air handler to prevent biological growth and resealing the supply plenum. Before discussing repairs, I advised the homeowner to consult a comfort advisor about potential system replacement. The system is currently operational.

I successfully completed a drain clearing task, ensuring that the drainage system was free from obstructions and functioning optimally. The customer plans to run a circuit and acquire a duck booster for their attic. Once they have set up the necessary components, I will proceed to install the duck booster. This will involve precise wiring to integrate it with the existing communicating system, ensuring seamless operation and enhanced performance. My role included diagnosing the issue, performing the necessary maintenance, and preparing the system for the customer's additional equipment. This comprehensive approach guarantees that the system will operate efficiently once the booster is installed.

Upon inspection, the system was significantly low on 410a refrigerant, requiring a full recharge of 70oz to reach the optimal level of 188oz. The suction coil temperature was at 0°, while the head pressure exceeded 60°. A thorough leak search was conducted to identify the source of the issue, which is a recurring problem. To permanently resolve this, a repair involving welding and recharging is necessary. In some cases, coil replacement may be required, which can be costly. Additionally, the fan motor, an Exam model, has stopped working and needs replacement. The homeowners, preparing to sell the house, have opted to delay repairs for now.

I rebuilt the toilet, replaced the seal at the bottom, and reset it. I advised the customer to monitor the wall for any ongoing leaks. After repairs, I checked the water meter, which showed no movement, indicating the issue was resolved. Further investigation may be needed if the leak persists.

Upon arrival, I identified that the thermostat was set to 'off', causing the system to not cool. After turning it on, the system began to operate correctly. I educated the homeowner on thermostat controls and inspected the system. I ensured electrical components and refrigerant levels were adequate, with a delta T of 20°. I also placed a pan strip in the drain pan and recommended starting a maintenance kit for the outdoor unit to enhance efficiency. The system is now cooling effectively.

I conducted a comprehensive inspection of the HVAC system, focusing on various critical components. The inspection included cleaning the coils, checking the drains, and thoroughly examining all electrical components. I also verified the refrigerant levels and delta T. The system was found to be running and cooling effectively without any major operational issues. To enhance system performance and air quality, I recommended installing a germicidal unit in the air handler to prevent biological growth. Additionally, I suggested cleaning the blower wheel to reduce motor wear and installing a start kit on the outdoor unit to lower startup amperage and improve efficiency. A pan strip was added to the primary drain pan. The homeowner expressed interest in a UV system but needs to consult with her brother before proceeding with any repairs.

Upon inspection, I identified a faulty dual run capacitor as the root cause of the system's malfunction. I replaced the capacitor unit, restoring proper operation. Additionally, I verified that the Freon levels were adequate and the temperature split was optimal. The condenser was thoroughly cleaned to ensure efficient performance. I also enrolled the customer in the Comfort Care Club, which includes a lifetime warranty on the capacitor as long as the contract is maintained. The customer paid in full via credit card.

During the recent service, I identified several critical issues with the system. Firstly, a dead capacitor was found, which was impeding the system's efficiency. Additionally, the thermal expansion valve (TXV) was malfunctioning, leading to improper refrigerant flow. The system also exhibited a high inrush current, which can be harmful to the compressor. To rectify these issues, the system requires a new thermal expansion valve, a replacement capacitor, and the installation of a soft start device to mitigate the inrush current. The client specifically requested a new capacitor, which we have procured and installed. These interventions will ensure the system operates efficiently and reliably.

Upon arrival, I conducted a thorough diagnostic evaluation of the cooling system, which was not functioning as expected. After a detailed inspection, I identified that the run capacitor had failed, which was preventing the system from cooling effectively. I explained the issue and the necessary repair to the customer, providing a clear estimate for replacing the capacitor. Despite the detailed explanation and cost breakdown, the customer opted to have their friend, an HVAC technician, handle the repair. Consequently, no repairs were performed during my visit, and the system remained inoperative, circulating only warm air. Thank you for choosing our services.

A customer requested a Super Tune-Up for their 15-year-old heat pump system. I began by servicing the outdoor unit, cleaning the condenser coils, and checking the refrigerant pressures, which were within the manufacturer's acceptable range. I inspected all electrical components and controls, finding everything to be in proper working order. Moving to the indoor unit, I identified a refrigerant leak in the evaporator coil, consistent with a previous technician's findings. I also discovered significant biological growth inside the air handler, rust on the evaporator coil and blower assembly, and heavy dirt buildup on the blower wheel fins. The blower motor produced an abnormal noise, suggesting it may fail soon. I verified proper condensate drainage and measured a 15°F temperature split, indicating the system is cooling. I informed the customer about the refrigerant leak, the blower motor's condition, and the overall state of the equipment. I recommended discussing repair versus replacem

I conducted a comprehensive tuneup on the customer's system, starting with a thorough inspection of the tires and ensuring all components were functioning optimally. During the assessment, the customer reported experiencing excessive dust in her home and related allergy issues. Upon further investigation, I discovered biological growth within the system. To address these concerns, the customer opted for a RM to germicidal oxidation system. After installation, I performed a detailed test to confirm that the new system was operating as intended, ensuring the customer's comfort and health were prioritized.

A customer requested an evaluation of their HVAC system. Upon arrival, I noticed a previously wet area that had dried up. I conducted a thorough inspection, including testing the condensate drain by pouring 4.5 gallons of water through the primary drain line. Upon arrival, I conducted a thorough inspection of the condenser unit. Upon examination, it was determined that the dual capacitor was faulty. I replaced the faulty capacitor with a new unit, ensuring compatibility and proper installation. Following the replacement, I tested the system to confirm that the condenser was functioning correctly. The cooling system was checked for proper Freon levels, which were found to be adequate. The system was then tested for efficient operation, and it was confirmed that the issue had been resolved. Upon arrival, I thoroughly inspected the AC system's drain, confirming it was not clogged. To ensure optimal performance, I ran a cable through the drain to remove any potential debris. Upon arrival, I conducted a comprehensive evaluation of the down system, which was operational. However, a thorough inspection revealed a clog in the HVAC condensate drain line. I presented repair options to the customer, who approved the recommended drain service. During further inspection, I discovered that the primary condensate line had been cleared, but the larger drain pipe it discharges into was also clogged. This secondary blockage was causing intermittent shutdowns as the condensate backed up and activated the safety switch. I advised the customer that a licensed plumber is needed to resolve this issue. They requested scheduling a plumber promptly. The HVAC system was operating properly and cooling by the end of the evaluation. I recommended temporarily setting the thermostat a few degrees higher to reduce condensate production and prevent further drain backups.
