HVAC, Plumbing & Electrician Service FAQs
The cost to replace an HVAC system varies based on factors like the size of the home, the type of system, and local labor rates. On average, a complete HVAC system replacement may range from $5,000 to $10,000 or more. High-efficiency systems and additional features can increase costs. It's advisable to obtain multiple quotes from reputable HVAC contractors, considering factors like energy efficiency and warranty, to make an informed decision based on your specific needs and budget.
Your furnace or air conditioner may not come on due to a broken thermostat, a tripped circuit breaker, a clogged air filter, or problems with the ignition system. Other possible causes include issues with the pilot light, bad wiring, or a damaged capacitor. Start by looking at the air filter, the circuit breaker, and the thermostat settings. In order to ensure that your heating or cooling system operates effectively, it is advised that you speak with an HVAC specialist if the problem continues. They can identify and solve the exact issue.
Insufficient heat from a furnace may result from a clogged air filter restricting airflow, a malfunctioning thermostat, or issues with the ignition system. Additionally, problems with the pilot light, a faulty thermocouple, or a malfunctioning blower motor could be causes. Inadequate insulation, leaky ducts, or issues with the gas supply may also contribute. Regular maintenance, such as changing filters and inspecting components, can help prevent these issues. If problems persist, consulting with an HVAC professional is advisable for a thorough diagnosis and effective resolution.

My water line repair from a couple of months ago broke, fixed right for free changed air filter on system
Variable speed blower motor installed, start up complete system is operating efficiently Airhandler has lots of biological growth recommended uv system
Tech Cody arrived to customer's home and met the homeowners. Both systems are 9yo Goodman heat pumps. The upstairs system was running but not cooling, when I went outside to the heat pump the unit was not operating. I hooked up my guages and found the system had a resting PSI of 50, normally this should be at 210pis when resting. I pushed in the contactor and the compressor in rush amps were higher than the data tag specifications and the compressor running amps were below 2 amps. The compressor was also making unusual noise while operating, this unit's compressor is compromised. I conducted a leak search of the indoor and outdoor coil but was unable to pin point the leak. I shared my findings with the homeowner and booked a comfort advisor appointment tomorrow from 9am-10am for estimates on system replacement. I left the system off at the outdoor disconnect and off onnthe breaker in the indoor air handler. System is down.
Super tune up performed today. Low voltage wiring issue caused wet switch to not function. Installed new wet switch and rewired the low voltage to the switch. Replaced the germicidal UV bulb as the old one had burned out. Ecm blower motor is working as it should. Blower wheel and evaporator coil are clean. Heat strips are pulling proper amperage. Compressor and condenser fan motor are acceptable. Refrigerant levels are in range. Reversing valve and defrost control board are working properly. Outdoor unit was washed and waxed.
Tech Cody arrived to customer's home and met the homeowner. Customer informed me that the outdoor unit was making a squeaking noise for the past couple days. When we went to look at the unit the system was operating normally without making the noise in question. I pulled the disconnect 5 times to try to get the noise to happen but the system ran normally everything. I informed the customer that I cannot fix the issue if it isn't showing itself, he understood the situation. I let him know that if it happens again to just give us a call we have several techs in Weatherford. System cooling when I left.
Install 30k hz heat pump with high efficiency filtration, duct cleaning and code kit

Carrier heat pump with air handler installed in 2020. All electrical connections are tight with no corrosion. Heat strips are pulling proper amperage. Reversing valve and defrost control board are working as they should. ECM blower motor is acceptable. Blower wheel and evaporator coil are clean. Customer states that the airflow is uneven and the back of the house is warmer than the front. Technician discovered that a manual damper had broken at the adjustment control and was only about 1/4 open. Adjusted the damper to be all the way open and secured it. Refrigerant levels are in range. Compressor and condenser fan motor are acceptable. There is not drain protection on the system. Highly recommend installing a drain switch and a whole home surge protector. Customer would like an estimate to install a zone system with existing equipment.
