Mark arrived onsite and went to work review the current state of our relatively new (less than 4 years old) AC system (Note*** Comfort Experts did not install the system). On 7/14/26, I arrived to find the system was not cooling and freezing up. The suction side pressure was 80 psi with a 40° superheat. The blower was not blowing strongly, and the fan speed was set to tap three. I increased the fan speed to tap five, which slightly improved the pressures, but the coil still had slight ice buildup. The refrigerant levels were off due to this ice. I informed the customer that I would return the next morning to thaw the coil and obtain accurate refrigerant readings, potentially identifying a leak or adding refrigerant. The system is currently cooling. On 7/15/26, I found the TXV was shut down, a recurring issue. This will be a recall. I need to order a new indoor TXV. The air handler model is AMST60DU1300, and the heat pump model is ALZS4BA6010. The TXV is under warranty.
