On this job I inpected the system for tolerance. I retrimed out the return box to make it easier to access the filter base. The system is putting out 140° air in heating. Intake is 88. The system could use an easy start out side to help inrush Amps. Other then this the system test in tolerance.
Htu completed, while inspecting system I found the induced motor running at max rated amps and it was making a loud high pitch noise Recommended replacement, cst needs to wait a couple of months before completing repairs, cst signed up for membership need to follow up
Tech Cody arrived to customer's home and met the homeowner. System is a 6yo Goodman furnace. INDOOR: I replaced the filter, the blower is clean, the blower motor is in good condition, the blower capacitor is within tolerance, and the coil is clean. The furnace went through all of its safeties with no issue and began to operate normally. The system had a UV light installed and it was functioning properly, and the system had a 18 degree temperature split. OUTDOOR: I washed and waxed the unit before taking any readings. The compressor and fan motor were operating within manufacturer range, the unit had a compressor saver installed, the capacitors were within tolerance, and the primary electrical control was in good. The refrigerant charge was within acceptable levels at this time. I shared my findings with the homeowner and left the system off at the thermostat per the request of the customer as I left.

2018 2t goodman gas. System down upon arrival. Diagnosis discovered- 45/5 dual run capacitor on condenser unit was bloated (open) – replaced. Utilized manufacturers warranty on part. Had to use a seperate 45 and 5. System functioning.
08/17/24 TS- re lit pilot. Waterheater is only 1 year old but alot of it isn't too code. Informed him on what it would cost to do it right. No pan no T&P line, no sediment trap for the gas line, and the flu pipe going up isn't to code. Also no door to closet
Remove and replace Aprilaire 410 filter
Noise due vibration at condenser, screws needed to adjust
This system is tolermace. The tD is 20 in cooling. I changed the filter and inspected the system for biogrowth and found none. The system has water protection as well. It could still benifit from a UV light system. The condensor cap is in tolerance it also has a hard start already on it. The condensor is clean and ready for cooling.
Install gas 36k horizontal keep current filtration add 342 square foot R19 Insulation includes code kit
Plumbing inspection Recommend water heater attention Recommend mb and back bath water shut off valves to be replaced
Ran super tune up on units. Found older unit do not have drip leg on gas line, Inducer motor pulling high amperage, No drain protection, Leak in evaporator coil, An excessive damage to outdoor coil. Recommended customer replacing unit due to age and the fact that unit runs off of R22 refrigerant. R22 refrigerant is now phased out. Customer has already had advisor out for replacement, And home warranty needed pictures to confirm issues.
This system is new and worth protecting I recommend a UV system and duct cleaning in the future. Please reviews my estimates and consider them. Thanks Mike r
