Got here at 9:00am and had everything done by 5:00. Installed new unit, blew insulation in and cleaned everything up. They were all very nice and friendly. Hobson Heating and Air has always sent very respectful and qualified service technicians out to service us. Very Highly recommend them.

Upon arrival customer stated system was coming on and off during storm last night and didn't come back on. System was on and cooling when I arrived, ran system check and found no issues with system and no signs of what would be causing the system to come on and off. Left with system in cool mode

2015 3t hp closet upflow. Expired manufacturers warranty. Oil streaks present and leaks detected in evaporator coil. Filter hasn't been replaced in over a year. Heavy biological growth present inside indoor unit. Electric heatstrips have a heavy layer of biological growth buildup. UV bulb is out. Compressor is compromised due tonthe lack of appropriate charge. Start capacitor pressure cap is cracked. History of capacitor replacement. History of compressor replacement. History of refrigerant recharge. Defrost control board has Heat damage. Low voltage not protected. Vapor line needs better insulation. Insulation needs replenish. Sat with both homeowners and educated on the systems performance, reliability and saftey. Knowing the parts availability is an issue homeowners agreed to a CA appointment 4/15/25 @6p. System restoration estimate built. System functioning but diminishing in performance.

Upon arrival, technician talked to homeowner technician then started on the condenser. This unit is a straight electric technician found that the 24 V wire was not covered as well. It didn’t have a compressor saver technician suggested insulation over 24 V as well as a compressor saver technician headed to the indoor where technician found a UV bulb that is starting to go out. Technician talk to homeowner about it. Homeowner would like to go with the 24 V protection. It is installed in all the work is done.
Iron filter stuck in backwash. Water was flooding yard. Put filter in bypass to stop water from running. Softener is still on line. No warranty on filtration
We will cable line thru c/o under patio in attempt to clear. This is only an attempt as this home is on a Septic system. If tanks are full, this may not fix the problem. 12/16/24 TS- cleared clog that was effecting bathroom and kitchen sink from the bathtub drain with 25' snake. Clog was about 10' in. Ran tub and flushed toilet 6+ times and everything is flowing past cleanout in backyard

Arrived to no cool. Found that the 35/5 dual run capacitor had failed. Replaced capacitor, fixed electrical connections and added a compressor saver to help with the efficiency and reliability of the w system. Performed function check. System was cooling the home upon departure.
Down flow straight electric system. All electrical connections are tight with no corrosion. Ecm blower motor is acceptable. Blower wheel and evaporator coil are clean. Compressor and condenser fan motor are acceptable. Refrigerant levels are in range. Adding a compressor saver is highly recommended to help with the efficiency and reliability of the system.
