I requested information from Hobsons Comfort Experts on purchasing a generator for my home. Jeremy S was able to answer all my questions from size of unit, approximate price and location, and how it would work with the local utility co. Coming out a day earlier than originally expected, he was very knowledgeable and able to identify possible location, answered questions about noise, approx purchase price, and how it works with the electric co. Jeremy was respectful and didn’t mind all my questions. Thank you so much for quickly responding and giving me an idea for what to expect on an estimate!

SMALL NOTE OF CONCERN: I am a very loyal customer (You-all are the best!). A member of the Annual Service Contract (monthly fee). My three high end "state of the art" Systems were purchased about 6 months ago (still under warranty). And, am wondering why I paid $79.00 for a service call for low voltage fuse replacement?

Had issue with a contractor boring a fiber optic line in my area ..come to find out the contractor bored through my sewer line going to street Mark and another coworker after working all day stayed until their job was fulfilled and worked well past midnight to do so..they went above and beyond their duties to do so!!! Found indoor breaker off. Turned the power on and tested system in heating.
Arrived to performed scheduled wreck work. pumped down system and replaced 074 with 061 piston, pulled vacuum to 500 microns and released pumped down, adjusted refrigerant levels to 20 degrees superheat and 19 degree delta T, may need to return on a warmer day to further adjust refrigerant levels, performed function check cooling and heating and system is functioning normally at time of departure.

Came to house for electrical inspection and panel looked good except doubled up neutrals and talk to customer about search protection and explain that to him and customer also wanted to get a quote on adding this generator plug to his panel so gave him a quote to tied into his RV circuit and have it be used for a generator also gave him a quote to add a circuit in his shed that is a 240 volt 20 amp circuit that feeds his compressor customer like generator plug quote but new circuit was a little high but customer will reach out when he is ready to do it
Discussed options of a transfer switch for customer owned generator
Customer states that the heat goes out randomly and they have to reset the system entirely for it to come back on. Ran system in heating but is too warm today to be able to diagnose much. Ran in cooling and found that the superheat and sub cooling were both very low. Opened the system and found that the 2.5 to system has a .074 piston in the coil need to change out to a .061 piston. Will need to return with correct part to do repairs. Requesting to come back on a cooler day to properly diagnose heating issues.
Upon arrival heat pump was tripped on high pressure cut off reset system and perform tune up checked indoor filter coil and blower all three were acceptable all electrical connections were acceptable as well. Checked all components of the heat pump refrigerant levels were acceptable at this time go run cap and compressor saver were within manufacturer range outdoor coil was compacted with dust and dirt potentially causing the high pressure limit to trip found no other issues at this time recommended UV system and unit surge protection If customer calls in with same issue a supervisor will need to be present to find intermittent issue
Changed air filter and changed UV bulb. System functioning normally at time of departure.
Inspected furnace operation and heat exchanger. Inducer motor has slight vibration with some noise and should be monitored but is functioning ok. Removed blower assembly and inspected heat exchanger and found no visible defects. No flame disturbance was observed during blower cycles. Evaporator coil and blower need to be deep cleaned. Furnace is operating normally at this time.

2022 Nortek Airhandler Checked and tightened all electrical connections Customer hit drain on outside of house and knocked it loose underneath the house Changed customer provided filters Heat kit is functional and within manufacture range Blower Motor and wheel have slight dust and dirt build up Evaporator coil has slight dust and dirt build up 2022 Goodman Straight Cool Checked and tightened all electrical connections Dual run cap was within manufacture range Primary electrical unit was acceptable Compressor saver is functional Unable to check refrigerant levels as outdoor temps are 22° Fan blades and motor were acceptable Condenser coils were acceptable Recommended repairing drain underneath house, unit surge protection and UV system.
Upon arrival of customer stated unit in barn would not heat would only blow cold air during evaluation found mouse on heat sequencers causing heat sequences to Short and keep the heat strips from coming on also found two not be getting proper voltage it was unable to find breaker recommended Comfort advisor visit to talk about replacement along with electrician to figure out electrical issue and also gave pricing on fixing heat sequencers or replacing the whole heat kit customer stated they don't know how long they'll be living in this house decided to order new heat kit tech strongly recommended Comfort advisor and electrician customer denied. Informed customer that new heat kit would be arriving in a week plus
Repair well line Replaced PVC from wellhead to black poly can warranty everything but the connection to the black poly Customer paid will a check not cash
Arrived to no emergency heat. Technician tried to reprogram thermostat and emergency heat was not an option on the program. Replaced thermostat under warranty. Performed function test in heat pump mode and in emergency heat. System running and heating the home upon departure.
1/27/26 Unable to get to the house. Road is very icy on a hill Installed 50 gallon electric came out and tested volts to existing heater power was going to the heater just not reaching the elements tried resetting and still no power believe the board is burnt due to power surge job complete
Customer stated unit would run for 4 minutes and shut off every time it ran. During evaluation found air handler and heat strips to be working properly found no issues with air handler did find the thermostat placement is right next to the attic access took a thermal picture and found that the attic door was 42° and at hinges of attic door was 38° cold attic air is reaching thermostat causing system to short cycle. Recommended attic tent to prevent cold air from hitting the thermostat customer wants to hold off for now
Fusible link is blown gave customer pricing on replacement of the fusible link or replacement of the entire Heat kit. Customer decided replace the heat kit itself. Heat pump will run but not efficiently in extreme cold
Callback on previous technician Upon arrival I found that the indoor unit on a call for heating would not exceed a blower speed of 660cfm Found the original tech had not programmed the outdoor unit on cool cloud so the indoor would know what speed to run the blower at Programmed the unit and changed the defrost setting for the outdoor left unit on in heating
Found customers thermostat not staging the system properly and would stop the call for heat before reaching set point. Replaced thermostat with the original one we left from the installation.
