Michael and Alonso came out to assess our AC which had stopped cooling in the upstairs for about a week and turns out the "return duct" had some damage of the metal ring that goes around to I guess keep it secure and hold its cylinder shape. Dakota’s was. Dry accurate and was able to rectify the work completed by Jonathan’s annual service agreement!
The heater unit was functioning properly prior to Jonathan’s service inspection. The heater was working as designed! The next day the heater was needed because of the drop in the temperature, the fan ran continuously for the entire night and day.
A call to the office and an appointment of next up was scheduled!
I do not understand why Dakota needed to go out to discuss his actions and his interpretations of the situation; was something said to the that Supervisor that was not accurate?

Inspected machine, came from the factory with a hard start kit installed, pulled lra measurements on 5 different tries and got anywhere from 125.7 to 13. System is functioning as intended, technician offered soft start as an upgrade to the existing hard start. Customer took this as his unit is flawed and broken and believes he should be able to sign up on star plan and get unit replaced. But that is not how warranty repairs are made, we don’t replace components just because as that’s worse for the system than leaving it running in its normal state.

9/15/25 For this job we performed rec work. Oem board did not stop the issue going on. We discovered it was in fact a faulty motor on the blower itself. Homeowners used the money prepaid for the board towards the new motor and paid the difference. Done for now, hold for parts.
