System had low pressure which prompted me to leak search it. Identified leak in the evap coil. System needs new evap coil and recharge of 410a. I have all the materials added..........He wants to see if he can get the job done sooner then this weekend with someone else. He will call us if he can not. Don't oder anything until he calls us.
On this job I did a tune up looking at both heating and cooling. System checks in tolerance on both sides. System could benefit from easy startm after short conversation he would like to gather up some money for a later purchase. Replaced gfci, installed whole home surge protector, installed 2 bubble covers on front and back. PLEASE SCHEDULE A PLUMBER TO COME FRIDAY 4/25 TO INSTALL 4 NEW CUSTOMER SUPLIED FUACETS.
Installed switch plate in attic. Recommended surge and repairing meter riser with slip riser. Emailed estimate.
During this visit I looked at the cooling side of the system. Currently the system checks out in tolerance. I recommend an easy start to help the inrush amps become much lower. The system has a clean filter and washed condensor coil. It is now ready for cooling.

Came out for a complimentary Plumbing evaluation discussed options for repairing and or replacing his toilet in the master bathroom also discussed options for repair of the main sewer line where the roots are coming in through a service tee homeowner chose not to go with any repairs today he may call us back at a later date left estimates thank you for choosing comfort experts!
Pausing call. On arrival thermostat was not functioning. I replaced the thermostat and checked refridgerant levels. Found a superheat of 4 with a saturated temp of 30 (evaporator coils temp). Blower is very dirty and is likely why the system is having performance issues. Ran inspection camera in supply plenum / coil and found bacterial growth on coil drip pan and top of coil. The dust and bacterial growth in the system is resulting in poor air quality.
One legger
For this cooling tune-up, I inspected the customer's furnace and condensers for the upstairs and downstairs. Because customers are in need of a duct cleaning for the upstairs and downstairs duct system as the wife has allergies in the home and wakes up coughing and sneezing. With a duct cleaning I would also highly recommend the customers have a UV Sanitation System installed to kill pathogens that are circulating in the home as well. Both systems are cooling well, however to improve the longevity of the downstairs system I would recommend installing a soft start kit for the compressor since the hard start is no longer doing anything. Jerred to look at sewer line April 5, tree roots growing into the pipe causing a flood. Ryan to come out as well for an electrical inspection.
On arrival system was off. Checked refridgerant and found a 9 degree subcool. Indoor unit very dusty due to dust bypassing around current filter set up. Significant bacterial growth in coil area that has not yet grown into supply plenum. Blower and evaporator coil restricted with growth and dust. The condenser coil was extremely impacted before cleaning. The fan is running at double the manufacturers recomendation of .93 amps. The compressor is running at 17.3 out of a maximum recommended 17.9 amps. When removing low side gauge refridgerant was foaming, indicating the refridgerant is getting hot enough to separate. Due to the age and condition of the system I recommended speaking with a comfort advisor about replacement. Visit is scheduled for Monday 12-3.

I found a bad blower control board during this visit. She wants to handle this thru her home warranty company. This is a carrier She also wants to see electrician about a sub panel.
Today I performed a membership cooling tune-up on a 2-year-old gas furnace straight cool system I changed the filter flushed white vinegar down the drain line wash the outdoor coils and checked all electrical components and refrigerant levels temperature split is ideal however I did find the fan side of the Dual run capacitor on the outdoor condensing unit to be slightly out of range and the compressor side to barely be in range this is likely due to the severely restricted air filter that was swapped out at the beginning of this visit as well as the outdoor coils being full of very fine dirt restricting the airflow on the outdoor unit I discussed options with the homeowner and expressed the severity of the compressor over amping currently drawing $130 amps when the lra rating is 109 as well as the necessity of replacing the Dual run capacitor and possibly upgrading the filtration system to get more time out of each filter unfortunately recent storms took out the homeowners fence as we

For this super tune-up I inspected the customer's air handler and condenser, all equipment was measuring with the manufacturer's specs and refrigerant levels looked good. The customers do have solar on their home so I would recommend installing a whole home surge protector to protect the electronics in the home from power surges or lightning strikes. Additionally I would recommend a UV Sanitation System to go in their supply plenum to sanitize and kill pathogens and bacteria circulating within the home. Pair a UV System with a duct cleaning and the customers will have much cleaner air in their home.
For this super tune-up I inspected the customers air handler and condenser, all equipment was measuring within manufacturer specs and running well. The homeowners were not home at the time of the visit however the daughter was there so I relayed my findings and recommendations to her and she said she would pass it on to her parents. I recommend installing a whole home surge protector in the house electrical panel that will protect sensitive equipment from power surges or lightning strikes. I also recommend the customer get a duct cleaning and install a UV Sanitation System in their system to aid in purifying the air that is being circulated in their home.

On this job I looked at both heating and cooling. During my visit I found a filter 1inch that had been there since the system was put in. This i made him aware of he's also going to order 20x25x4 inch filters. The system TD is 20° with a subcool of 8°. The system operates in tolerance but has a high in rush which effects the house. Blinking lights/ brown out during use of stove and ac turn on. The system could definitely use a soft start to erase these issues and give the system more over all longevity. He currently uses home shield for the house and is not interested in membership.
Customer wanted me to re evaluate compressor, customer stated the noise was typically only made during heating season during the night, system does not have a crankcase heater. This will help compressor lifespan by reducing oil migration, also reducing the loud noise customer is hearing also would like to install soft start kit. Did not find much of an issue with the compressor, will be returning the compressor to part department. The repairs that will be made are slightly less than the cost of the original estimate and we will have to refund the balance.
