He came, he saw, he CONQUERED
Our tech on the day was Kellen, and we could not have been more satisfied with the man as well as his work. Kellen arrived in a most timely fashion and got right to work diagnosing the issue with our a/c compressor. Turns out the condenser unit was shot (thank you Texas weather) but he got us up and running quickly. He didn't stop there though; he did a thorough inspection on the indoor unit as well. That turned up a couple of issues which we will need to address in future, but Kellen did not try to pressure us into buying anything at this time. He explained what would need to be done and left it to us to decide when, and if, to proceed. No high pressure sales, he just provided the info for us. Even had photos of the actual problem areas so that we could see for ourselves where the problems were. Five stars!

Service was great but not satisfied with the cost
Ryan was great. He was extremely professional and fixed the problem, but I have an issue with the cost of his visit. My issue ac/heat issue was supposedly fixed the day before by Zak, but after he left the problem still persisted so that is why Ryan had to come out.
There was a part that needed to be replaced so I had to pay an extra $400 (after my 20% discount) on top of what I paid the previous day. After doing some research, I could of purchased the replaced part online myself for $20 and it took Ryan no more than 10 minutes to install the new part. I think it is utterly ridiculous that this fix was $400. I will be taking my business elsewhere in the future.

For this job, I worked on a super tune-up on this heat pump system. I went through all the mechanical and electrical parts of the system and checked for maximum efficiency.
Adding on, customer had really bad dust levels in his inside blower, I offered a blower clean however customer rejected because of holidays. I also mentioned to the customer that hits UV bulb was not functioning no more and customer rejected the replacement.

As I arrived, the air handler kept short cycling, and after doing a couple tests, I figured the x-13 motor was causing all of this.
I talked to the customer and notified him that the office will give him a call to schedule his motor replacement.

Cleared drain with small cable and cleaned return air with shop vac. Poured several bottles of water thru drain to make sure it was flowing. Suggested pouring white vinegar in drain once a month. No warranty on stoppage
Tightened up ceiling fan bracket. Fan is no longer all over the place. Inspected fan rated box and installation. Drywall is cut too big around box causing a slightly compromised installation. But safety is good. ,mount is tight and box is rated to hold fan.

Today I did an eval on a down system. The drain line clogged and tripping the float switch.after clearing the drain I tested the system and found no further issues. System is now cooling

On arrival system running and cooling but producing only a 12 degree s of cooling. Ideally we want 20 degrees but 12 will certainly struggle to cool home. Found blower and coil very dirty and restricting airflow and evaporator coil was rusted. Looking outside condenser was starting hard causing compressor to overamp and contactor was buzzing indicating electromagnet inside failing. Found condenser producing superheat of 27 when the target is five. This low refrigerant level is the cause for poor cooling. Only found intermittent refrigerant pings when leak searching evaporator coil and nothing at condenser. Recommended speaking with a co,fort advisor about replacement due to age and condition, will follow up with customer next Thursday to see if they would like our bid for a new system as they know they need to replace vs repair.
