Hobson rep called me in May to set up appt for summer check up. I am a member of their club and I get this done for no charge at the time of service. I called them back the 1st of July and said I would like to have my unit serviced. They set me up to fit me in when they could. Joshua came by on the 5th. He was professional and sent pictures. I had to suffer in the heat with no AC for 17 days, cooking all my meals out on the grill even when it’s raining to not increase the temperature in the house from cooking in the oven or on the stove top. I have been a customer for 20 years and I feel that I was not taken care of and they should’ve provided a temporary window AC while waiting for the compressor part to arrive. for this job, I did a tuneup. Noticed a lot of dust on recently swapped filter and on coil. Also homeowner curious about newer UV bulbs. They mentioned interest in duct cleaning as well. Scheduling IAQ. homowner didn’t have replacement filter for me. Drain line was clear. At the outdoor refrigerant was good. Capacitor in tolerance. running amps and in rush were both good. Cleaned coil and system was cooling when I left.
Today we returned to install a customer supply toilet, replace three shut-off valves upstairs, and replace the seat springs and cartridge in master faucet downstairs. All was tested and all worked well, there were no leaks Thank you for choosing comfort experts!
Today we showed up for a complimentary plumbing estimate. The homeowner wanted the upstairs toilets and all three shut off valves replaced. Also the master fuel side faucet was probably tripping and they would like to get both of the cartridges replaced. They are ordering a toilet at home Depot and will be giving a call to the office to give them the confirmation number for us to pick up in the morning. We will return it tomorrow to get the job done

For this job I cleared a level 2 Stoppage affecting the master bath, all fixtures were holding water. I tried to clear the line initially through the shower drain, I was not able to clear in that way. I then had to pull the toilet to access the drain arm that was backed up. I ran my sewer machine down the line and cleared the stoppage. Pay e t was collected in full via check.
On arrival r22 system had an extremely restricted evaporator coil and a very dirty blower. Both are greatly impacting airflow through system and overall run time of system. When gauging up it appeared that system was overcharged due to a negative subcool when it should be around a 10. Customer agreed that home warranty tech added refridgerant without seeing inside and realizing that poor airflow will make a system appear to have low refridgerant. Compressor is likely overheating and thermally overloading causing the system to randomly not cool. I recommended speaking with a comfort advisor about system replacement before investing in cleaning up the airflow on the system due to the cost and likelyhood of future repairs. Comfort advisor appointment is scheduled for 10-12 Wednesday.

Customer had 4 breakers off in panel. She's wasn't aware how to open panel covers. Went over with her how to operate everything. Offered membership. No other issues. She always uses comfort experts but does not wish to sign up for home and budget protection plan. Everything working good.
Today we showed up on a trade turn. We had a AC technician come out here and take a look on why the machine was shutting off, it was due to a clogged hub drain. It kept setting off the sensor which would shut off the AC unit. I grabbed a top snake, and ran it through the drain five times and was able to clear the soft clog. It dumped white vinegar, and two gallons of hot water down the drain and it drained as should be. Hope the condensate drain back into the hub train. Upon arrival system was not coming on Immediately I heard the clicking of a wet switch and knew what the issue was I started with pouring water down drain and it seemed to take it fine with no back ups I then opened evaporated panel and poured water in the drip pan and all water was draining properly I then looked into return where water dropped into home plumbing and where wet switch was located and I noticed water back up was coming from home plumbing I called to schedule plumber to come out instead and let the homeowners know I could get there system running again but might have issues with water flooding I propped up the wet switch so it wouldn't go off again and placed a towel at the base of the plumbing ro prevent water flooding floor. Plumber scheduled for tomorrow Tuesday 8/5
I came out today customer said it kept short cycling but thats because thermostat was set to 78 so house kept reaching temperature causing it to short cycle
Good night we showed up for a complimentary plumbing estimate. Upon arrival when the homeowners use their front hose bib it made a loud humming noise. After inspection the water pressure to the house was sitting at 74, and the vacuum breaker was clogged internally. with the age of the vacuum breaker it cannot be repaired, it needs to be replaced. The backyard hose bib the homeowner cut the old vacuum breaker off, and cut into the threads of the actual hose bib itself. It also needs to be replaced. Thank you for choosing comfort experts!

Today I showed up for an evaluation on a 9-year-old heat pump system that was not running this was due to a malfunctioning condensate pump that is over 15 years old homeowner said the unit had froze up and then he thought it out but when I bypassed the condensate pump long enough to see it run I was not witnessing anything concerning with airflow or refrigerant levels low side sat temp was 42° the condensate pump needs to be replaced as well as clearing the drain line both directions offered repairs to the homeowner However unfortunately he is unable to pay for these repairs today he is fully aware that we cannot be held responsible for any water damages caused by continual use of the system without the pump working thank you for choosing comfort experts!
