Michael and Alonso came out to assess our AC which had stopped cooling in the upstairs for about a week and turns out the "return duct" had some damage of the metal ring that goes around to I guess keep it secure and hold its cylinder shape. It's impossible to know when or how it got damaged whether by the installers or the duct cleaners we had in earlier this year. A common issue we see in the area is a leaking heating or cooling system. If you notice a leak in your system, it should be inspected carefully and not be ignored. It may be water or refrigerant, it could be condensation from normal use or it could be a problem with the system. A leak could indicate a number of issues including:
A Refrigerant Leak
Your air conditioning unit should never be low on refrigerant. It is a closed system, which means the refrigerant is passed through the system constantly and never runs down or becomes “used up”. If your refrigerant is low, either your air conditioner wasn’t set up properly or you have a leak.
If you know your air conditioner had sufficient refrigerant when you’ve used it previously, then you most likely have a leak. You should never attempt to replace or clean up and dispose of refrigerant yourself. The refrigerant used in air conditioning systems is a pollutant and needs to be handled by a qualified AC repair technician.
If your AC repair tech simply tops up your refrigerant and a leak is the problem, then it will leak again. He or she needs to thoroughly inspect the system to identify where the leak is and repair it, which is what we will do when you call us.
A Water Leak
There are a number of reasons why water could be coming from your air conditioning unit. Many can be prevented during a regular service, but if you haven’t had your system serviced recently, there are a number of things that could be causing the leak.
You may have a blocked or disconnected drain line which is causing water to be retained in the system. Drain lines become blocked with dirt and algae over time. They are normally cleaned during a service to prevent this from happening. A drain line may become disconnected, either through normal use or because it wasn’t installed properly. As with all parts, nothing lasts forever, and it may be the drain pipe just needs sealing again.
If you have a refrigerant leak, it can cause water to come out of your air conditioner. When your air conditioner is on and is low on refrigerant, it causes the unit to freeze. When the unit isn’t running, the ice melts causing water to pool around your unit.
Your ductwork may not be insulated properly, which can cause condensation. If cold air is being pushed through your duct work, and the environment outside the duct is at a higher temperature, the cold air will be warmed and condensation will form.
Other Signs You Need An Air Conditioning Repair
Unusual Smells – Your AC creates quite a bit of condensation that can lead to mold, mildew and algae growth in your evaporator coil and ductwork. If you smell a musty smell every time the system turns on, it’s important to get your ac unit checked out by our professional AC repair technicians. Came to job for breaker tripped and needed to be replaced and got here and breaker was tripped but was caused from overloading circuit and customer couldn't figure out how to reset breaker so explained and showed customer how to reset breaker and everything came back on and worked and explain to him why that happened and how we could fix it but customer did not want to run a new circuit and would just move the air fryer if overloaded again but did talk to customer about surge protector and also a monitoring system which customer was interested in but something he was just thinking about when may call us back down the line to do the work

Came to house for a few plugs in bathrooms not working and ended being a tripped breaker but bathroom circuit had a GFCI breaker and 4 gfci customer stated that he thought it was the GFCIs that were tripped but tried resetting them and nothing happened then went to the breakers and tried finding a breaker that was tripped but couldn't find one and when I got here the breaker was tripped but you could barely tell but first time it's ever happened talk to customer about replacing breaker if it happens again since this is the first time it's happened but also talk to customer about membership but customer has a friend few houses down that does all of that stuff. Upon arrival for tune up homeowner showed me to outdoor unit and attic access for indoor unit. Also showed me to thermostat and provided vinegar. Homeowner had already replaced filter. I began with checking temperature Delta which system has 18° of cooling Checked blower motor and it is clean and in good condition Checked all electrical components all in tolerance and tightened a few connections Checked Evaporator coil which was clean and in good condition All heating components are in tolerance and good condition Drain line had small buildup inside but no clog and no backups when I poured 2 gallons of water Moved to outdoor unit and checked safety disconnect, it's in good condition Checked condenser fan motor which was also in good condition Cleaned condenser coils from inside out then rinsed off the sides to clear debris. Checked capacitor, still in tolerance Checked contactor, it's in good condition Unit has compressor saver installed resulting inrush amps to be well below m

Today we showed up for a water heater diagnosis. Upon arrival of the gas water heater was not lit, be homeowner said he tried to relight the water heater and nothing was happening. When we arrived we opened up the gas flex line to make sure that the unit was getting gas. We hooked the gas line back up together, and re-lit the water heater. The water heater had no problems lighting up, but there is a small crack on the front casing of the gas control valve. It is nothing to be concerned about. I left a estimate inside the email for a new gas control valve if this were to go out again, then that would need to be replaced. Thank you for choosing comfort experts!

Need a plumber out for tomorrow alrighty set up with the office, the controls on the front of the water heater not working called Mark and said to send plumber
On arrival system running and cooling with no issues. Customer stated that they had flipped breakers to system a couple times and each time the system resumed running. System has a contactor less board. Found no current codes, compressor capicator was reading 39 out of 45 and compressor saver kit was 0 mfd. Replaced both and advised customer to call us and not flip breakers if problem persists so we can see code causing issue. System cooling as I left.

On arrival both systems running and cooling producing 20 degrees delta. Indoor units clean and drain lines flowing. Outdoor unit passed all electrical testing but both condensers overamped on start up. He wants to get two compressor saver kits in February.

Arrived onsite customer had a toilet in master bathroom clogged. Went ahead and unclogged toilet. Tested after repair was made everything working properly.
On arrival all three systems running and cooling as intended. Indoor units dusty from recent renovations. Two uv systems non functioning. Outdoor units passed all electric testing but two of the three exceeded the manufacturer red line on start up. Recommended compressor saver kits to address this and an iaq visit to look at filter upgrades, duct cleaning etc. System cooling as I left.

Pricing on this estimate is to clear the stoppage affecting the upstairs lavatory connected to the Condensation drain.
For this job, I did a super tuneup. System was pulling a 10 Delta. No water safeties so I recommended one secondary drain line is damaged. Recommended a repair. Gas line is not up to code requires a black pipe coming out of the furnace and a sentiment trap. At the condenser, the capacitor was fine. in rush was a little high suggested an easy start kit to lower inrush. supply Plenum was super dusty and ducts were looking very dirty. Suggested a duct clean.
Arrived onsite customer had 2 tankless water heaters throwing an error code of 17 on both units. Pulled the cover on units and reset both units at the motherboard. Tested after reset everything working properly.
On arrival system was just about flat on refridgerant. Found large hissing leak in evaporator coil. Customer is going to get second opinion from Baker brothers. Strongly recommend speaking with comfort advisor about replacement due to cost of repairs and likelyhood of future repairs given the age of the equipment.

For this job I provided the customer with a complimentary plumbing inspection. All major fixtures are fully operational and in good condition, only blaringly obvious issue was the angle stops. All stops are twist to stop, and need to be converted to 1/4 turn stops. I informed the customer of the issues with the existing stops and provided an estimate to replace all of the stops in the residence.
