As we go about our busy lives, AC repair typically isn’t the first thing on our minds. Getting to work, taking the kids to school, making other appointments and running errands are much higher on the list. However, we may see little clues about our AC throughout the day that we ignore that could be alerting us that an AC repair isn’t far off. If you’ve started to notice your AC unit is not performing that well but have put off dealing with it, here are a few issues that let you know it’s time to call a professional to check it out.
It’s common for at least one person to not be comfortable with the temperature. We all know someone that wears a coat in seventy-degree weather or is hot even when it’s fifty degrees out. Our tech on the day was Kellen, and we could not have been more satisfied with the man as well as his work. Kellen arrived in a most timely fashion and got right to work diagnosing the issue with our a/c compressor. Turns out the condenser unit was shot (thank you Texas weather) but he got us up and running quickly. He didn't stop there though; he did a thorough inspection on the indoor unit as well. That turned up a couple of issues which we will need to address in future, but Kellen did not try to pressure us into buying anything at this time. He explained what would need to be done and left it to us to decide when, and if, to proceed. No high pressure sales, he just provided the info for us. Even had photos of the actual problem areas so that we could see for ourselves where the problems were. Five stars!

I arrived to conduct a thorough electrical inspection and address several issues the customer was experiencing with non-functional equipment. Upon inspection, I identified a loose wire that was causing the malfunctions. I promptly fixed the loose wire, ensuring all systems were restored to proper working order. Additionally, I discussed the benefits of upgrading to our newer membership plan, priced at $29 per month, with the customer. The customer agreed to the upgrade and completed the necessary paperwork. The only remaining step is to switch the customer to the new membership plan.
During the service, I thoroughly inspected the cooling system. The system was tested for performance and found to be within acceptable tolerances. It is equipped with a soft start feature and an IAQ200 air quality sensor. The refrigerant charge was verified, and the system was found to produce a 15° superheat, indicating optimal performance. All components were checked for proper operation and cleanliness.
Today, I successfully installed a new thermostat for the customer, ensuring precise temperature control throughout their home. Additionally, I installed a Jones valve to enhance the efficiency of their heating system. The installation process was seamless, and I took care to explain the features and functions of the new equipment. The customer now enjoys improved comfort and energy savings. Upon discovering issues, I replaced the old filter with a clean one to enhance air quality and efficiency. I checked and adjusted the deltas, replaced the filter, and ensured the drain was clear. All electrical components were tightened for safety and efficiency. The UV bulb was found to be non-functional, and I recommended either replacing it or upgrading the UV system. The refrigerant levels were verified as good, and the unit was thoroughly washed. The compressor was exhibiting overamping on start, for which I suggested a start kit to reduce starting amps and prolong the compressor's life. Came to job to give quote on adding a plug for bidet as well as giving a quote to movegarge circuit back to back wall because they are taking wall out but explain to customer that whenever he is ready to reach back out to us and that I will be the one to come back out to do the work

For this job, I worked on a super tune-up on two systems. I went through all the mechanical and electrical parts of it this morning and checked the maximum efficiency. In the heat pump, the capacitor was out of tolerance and the compressor saver was bad, both things were replaced under warranty. Challenger panel will need to order interlock kit when customer reaches back out to us next month when he gets his bonus and he is ready to install the generator plug also gave a ton of clothes to do a bunch of other work for the customer whenever he is ready to do those things but customer is mainly worried about getting the generator inlet added

For the school I performed and evaluation. The furnace was not running upon entry. I just covered the nipple leading to the pressure switch had a clog of debris inside of it not allowing the pressure switch too close and the unit to run. After unclogging the nipple the unit began to run within normal limits. I tested it four times to assure it would not repeat the same issue. Thank you for choosing Comfort experts, have a great day!

For this job, I worked on a super tune-up on this heat pump system. I went through all the mechanical and electrical parts of the system and checked for maximum efficiency. Adding on, customer had really bad dust levels in his inside blower, I offered a blower clean however customer rejected because of holidays. For the job, I worked on the evaluation for this heat pump system. As I arrived, the air handler kept short cycling, and after doing a couple tests, I figured the x-13 motor was causing all of this.
